mj - you made me laugh, before I look at your link, I was thinking as I read your post, bloody hell she is describing my face, that is funny as you have see my face, you are also the same age and I am wittering - but you are right - I currently wear no make up during the day (Only when off out in the evening - which isn't often) now on that slipery slope to you know where and feel I need to do something oh and not offended at all

oooggs · 03/01/2010 22:04

ScarletBandit · 04/01/2010 15:59

Glad I didn't offend you oooggs!
I was thinking about you as I put my slap on this morning, after I described my beauty (in the loosest sense of the word!) routine yesterday

CD, I can't believe dd2 is now in full time school too. F will be going part time after Easter as they go much earlier here than in England. She just seems so little to go to school.

And I have to share a little snippet that ds said to me today. I had ordered a couple of pairs of jogging type trousers which came today. He asked me why I had them so I told him I needed to get some more exercise as my bottom was too large, and so that is why I had bought them.
He said "but I like you just as you are". How gorgeous is that?! He is such a loving little boy, I just hugged him for being so sweet and told him how lovely he is.

AngeG · 04/01/2010 16:16

SB - your DS is so sweet, what a lovely thing to say

Hello everyone

Eddas · 04/01/2010 18:16

aw sb that's cute! I have the same trouble (I am large arsed) but dd is less complimentary, 'mummy you've got a fat bottom' etc I can't moan, it's true But day 1 of the diet is today so maybe(yeah right) in a few months my butt won't be quite so large!

oooggs · 04/01/2010 20:10

blimey dippy - doesn't time fly?

mj - hope to go shopping and have some sort of 'slap' sorted by the end of the week

eddas - children are too honest!

Katy - yes its true, it zooms by, especially the subsequent ones (no time to take in every single thing they do )

elkie - a Happy New Year to you too

Ange - Izzy looks so grown up, No you don't look 30 (far from it) I like that way your profile still says 29 (good idea )

Bramshott · 05/01/2010 10:00

Hello all. Back to some semblance of a routine today!! Lovely Christmas and New Year - far too much to eat and drink so austerity rations start here! We went away over the weekend for my mother's 60th which I organised, and it all went really well and no-one fell out (a distinct possibility in our family!) - phew!

O had a lovely Christmas ("nice presents") and went to the pantomime which she keeps talking about ("silly ladies - men wearing a dress" )

Hope you all had a lovely time. Who has snow?!?

ScarletBandit · 05/01/2010 11:27

Morning! I know I haven't been on here for ages, but there is something very cosy about being back, like returning to the fold iykwim!!

Bramshott, as I dropped ds off at school this morning for his first day back the headmistress was there telling everyone that we had to pick the children up at the first sign of snow! It is forecast for us and we have had a couple of showers this morning but so far it hasn't come to anything. I love the snow, but I need to go to work tomorrow so I would rather it stayed away!
Glad you had a good Christmas and that the party went well

I am joining fat club tonight to attempt to trim up my lardy arse. It is a Rosemary Conley class so you get an exercise session too (much needed in my case). I have put weight on over the last few months and I can really feel it so need to get rid of it again.

oooggs · 05/01/2010 20:07

ONLY 113 posts since 9th Dec at this rate we will still have this 'Christmas title' at Easter

ScarletBandit · 05/01/2010 21:25

Perhaps we can string it out until next Christmas! And to think I used to really struggle to keep up with this thread some days.

Eddas · 05/01/2010 21:39

hiya! Just popping in whilst waiting for the Tesco man, what idiot orders food to be delivered between 9 and 10 eh?!

Day 2 of the diet today, and it's going well Not expecting to get far along with it, never usually do, but you never know!

Everyone fed up with the snow? It's supposed to either and I quote 'give a light dusting or be very heavy' here tonight talk about cover all bases It'll be just my luck to get a heavy downpour, dd only went back to school today and her school will shut if there's more snow. It's on a hill and today there was snow all over the playground from the weekends efforts, even though it didn't come down too badly. The road the schools on was also the only one still with snow on it's down a country lane which is quite shady so doesn't thaw too quickly.

Sexonlegs · 05/01/2010 21:40

Evening all

Lol at all the "slap" talk. I have started to notice my fine lines are not as fine as they were! I turn 40 this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SB, how sweet your ds is

Bramshott, glad all went well with the party weekend.

Ange, lovely to see you on here again.

Dippy, can't believe dd2 now ft at school

Erm.. brain gone.

We have snow! Probably an inch and coming thick and fast.

Also have another arsing cold - thanks dh!

Having an awful time again with K getting up in the night. Monday night she was awake at 1.30 and was up and down for an hour and a half. Last night she was up at 2.00 for 2 1/2 hours! I feel crap!!

Hope everyone is ok; not seen a lot of ladies on here - NL, Leaky....

Eddas · 05/01/2010 21:44

x-posts sol, are you still planning a party for your birthday? Sorry to hear K is being a PITA any reason you can think of for why she's doing it?

oooggs · 05/01/2010 21:50

oh yes a party sol - we can also have a virtual one here the night before and may some of the party animals will come out of the woodwork

Eddas · 06/01/2010 07:42

schools shut again work are going to think I'm making it up as I think it's the only school in my town to shut, but it's where the school is that's the problem. Plus their website says alot of teachers trying to get in from another town which has had more snow.

Bramshott · 06/01/2010 09:58

Bloody hell - we have A LOT of snow (again!). Stepped out of the door and it was over my knees (and over my wellies). School is closed on the first day back, and I'm not sure they'll be open this week at all. Luckily we can walk to O's childminder and she has agreed to have N this afternoon too.

How is everyone else doing?

Sexonlegs · 06/01/2010 10:07

Morning

We are having a joint party - me and dh, as we both turn 40 this year.

Eddas, we get our shopping delivered between 8 and 10 as I can't bear the girls being around pulling everything out of the bags!

Bramshott, wow that is a lot of snow. We had some over night and just as we were about to leav for school, it started bucketing down again. B's school is open - the only one in the area! There were 13/30 children in B's year there this morning. We have a 15/20 minute walk (wen I can be arsed to walk) and some who have a 5 minute walk didn't come in!
Not going to go out, so watching Peppa Pig dvd's!

Hope everyone is ok. x

Bramshott · 06/01/2010 11:12

Hurrah - my CM has arrived at the door with O and her little boy in a big inflatable boat and taken N off my hands !

CaptainDippy · 06/01/2010 11:59

Oooh, that sounds fun SOL - Can't believe you turn 40 this year - you look amazing!!

That is soooo sweet of your DS, SB. Awwww!

Blizzard of snow here, but not settling as the ground is too wet. So older girls safely at school and P at childminder.
