Happy Birthday oooggs
Ange - sorry to hear about I's ear, hope the pain goes very quickly and she can enjoy christmas.
SOL, glad your mum is doing well. It sounds as though you are dog broody - any chance?
Well I have gnawed a carrot, messily eaten a biscuit and about to go and give DH the whiskey and stick my snout in some reindeer food.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

StealthPolarBear · 26/12/2009 21:20

shattered here - T has been 100mph all day

ScarletBandit · 28/12/2009 12:08

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here in ages but just thought I would pop by and say that I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas, and to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

Nothing much going on here except normal everyday things, we had a lovely and very busy Christmas day, I was in bed by just before 10pm totally exhausted!

Hope everyone is doing ok, SOL I read that your mum is doing well, so pleased to hear that news

Take care ladies xxxx

We've been having lovely lazy times in DippyLand. Just about to buzz out to train station to pick up friend who is staying for the rest of the week

oooggs · 28/12/2009 19:16

'real' family as in all of us here at the same time instead of ships that pass in the night. 6 of us live in this house but lately it has been very rare for us all to be home at the same time.

Doobydoo · 28/12/2009 19:31

Hi All.Hope you ok Dippy?
Oooggs that must be lovely for you all[smole]
SOL...Am so pleased re your mum but find it outrageous that the funds may not be there to continue a treatment that is effective.
Hope all are well.We have friends staying for a couple of days tomorrow.
DS1 is being HARD WORK at present.

Sexonlegs · 28/12/2009 22:02

Evening all.

Lovely to see you SB

Dooby, what's up with ds1?

Oooggs, glad you had such a lovely time together.

All good here. Christmas Day was fab with 6 adults and 6 children, although thinking I need a hostess trolley!! Food goes cold so quickly doesn't it when you are sorting out the children.

Went to my aunties yesterday (an annual get together) which was great fun. Several of my cousins were there and the dc all get on so well, even though they don't see other that often. One of my uncles dressed up as santa, rang the doorbell and then handed out presents! It was fab; the look on the dc faces!

Have had a lazy day today, and not much planned for tomorrow either. B off to a pantomime with Mum and Dad and 3 of her cousins on Wednesday

Hope everyone is ok. xx

elkiedee · 29/12/2009 00:00

Hi all, am still up in Ilkley so spending less time online than normal. My computer at home is playing up at the moment so may not find it easy to get back for a few days there either.

Hope all have have had a good Christmas.

Happy New Year everyone.

Wow it's so quiet on here!

Eddas · 01/01/2010 16:41

Happy new year april ladies

I've been busy sorting the dc's room after yet another influx of fabulous but OTT toys etc etc!! and ds' toys are now all in his room, downstairs is a toy free zone well they do bring them down but YKWIM!!

DD is currently playing the wounded soldier routine as she's tired from going to bed late last night 'nobody cares for me properly' she has a pin-prick sized cut talk about drama queen

roll on tues when she's back at school

i'm planning yet another diet starting on monday. I have decided that 2010 is going to see ME come back. I'm fairly sure that I have had some kind of depression over the last couple of years, not suprising really since 2008 chucked alsorts of crap my way. Still 2009 was a good year and I feel much better, I just need to lose weight and sort my work out. I still owe hours from 2008 I aim to get that sorted by end of Jan to get myself back on an even keel again.

DH is planning on competing in a half ironman in May, nutter He also has applied for the managers job in his branch, which I am hoping he gets as he needs a career change. I don't know if you remember but he started a managment course at the beginning of 2009, he's pretty much finished it now and has done really well so I'm hoping that will stand him in a good position to get on at work. Not sure i'm 'managers wife' material though

Right, that's enough from me. Hope everyone has had a good start to 2010 I look forward to sharing the year with you and will try to post more often

Doobydoo · 01/01/2010 17:06

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you all celebrated in style, although I saw the new year in sat in my bed drinking baileys over ice, and listening to the noisy fireworks outside! Not particularly stylish, but warm and cosy

May 2010 be full of great times, luck and prosperity for us all xxxx

CaptainDippy · 02/01/2010 16:32

Just come back from a nice walk along the seafront Nearly the end of the hols .... where did it go!!!!!!?

OP posts:
oooggs · 02/01/2010 19:21

roll on Monday ds1 needs to go back to school

Happy New Year/decade and oh my goodness my baby is nearly 1

dh went back to work today - but hey thats life

I don't like my new age - I look old and tired (I know I am old and tired) and want to do something about looking like it all the time. So may have to think about something with the hair and face. Weight is ok, but then I rarely sit down to eat and pushing 2/3 children on the nipper is hard work!

Not sure why this has hit me this year (maybe as for the last three Christmases I have been pregnant) but I know want to do something about it.

ScarletBandit · 03/01/2010 10:18

Oooggs, I know exactly what you mean! Treat yourself to some nice face cream (I use anti wrinkle stuff and have done for ages!).
I also use a mineral powder foundation which takes only seconds to apply in the morning, and make sure I use some concealer for my under eye bags.
A quick slick of lip gloss, little bit of blush for my pale face, and some mascara and I am done.
It's amazing how quickly I can slap this on, and it makes me feel heaps better about myself.

I am not in any way suggesting that you have big under eye bags, a pale face, or that you need anti wrinkle cream, but these are my feel a bit better about myself tips!!

And now that I have probably deeply offended oooggs I shall be off

ScarletBandit · 03/01/2010 10:28

Oooggs, have a look here, quite a few good tips
