Evening favourite few
It's all fun here
'WE' have 8 chickens apparently. Pointed out to Andy that as he doesn't live here and only comes over once or twice a week for a few hours, plus I'm buying the food and looking after the clucking things it doesn't really count as being a we and more a me . It gets better too - we collect another 8 or 10 on Saturday
Matthew's school play starts tomorrow, he is a shepherd (also silent SOL!) in the nativity with 7 of his classmates and the rest are penguins! We've been subjected to the penguin songs for weeks ......
You know sometimes weird memories pop into your head? I'm now not sure I've spelt shepherd right had one of those weird memories about learning calligraphy writing at school and completing a rather impressive piece of art only to be told I'd spelt shepherd wrong
Have had my hair chopped....is rather short and I'm still trying to decide whether I like it or not!
SOL - so sad that dh's friends are having to go through this I always think it really makes you stop and think about what you have.
I've been thinking about what I have a lot lately, it's almost 2 years since my car accident and receiving the lovely gifts from you ladies. At the weekend we will be decorating the hosue and my bauble tree will be going up once more to remind me how fab you all are
New job going well, have to confess it was part of the reason for my absence, first new job was not so good but I left and am now Office Manager doing 16 hours over 3 days, school hours. I like the work and I get to go into school to help one day and take Joe to toddlers another day so it's made family life much nicer. Earning less than half (almost 1/3) of what I was but we're happier and that's far more important.
Went to lunch with the guys from my old work last week, I'm still keeping in touch and catching up on the gossip - it's really nice to be able to stay involved even though I'm not there anymore.
I think we're having a big family christmas - my brothers are both away at girlfriends' houses so us and my dad are going to be with my gran and my aunt & uncle and we'll do one course each. We did it last year and it worked really well. Hoping we can plan it for around 5pm as it worked much better to give boys lunch and then have christmas dinner for, well, dinner!
Anywhoooooo, it's charity shopping night in town so I'm off to that, then I have to wrap Matthew's pressie for his teacher or I'll forget!!! Have embrassed her religious nature and realised she's actually the fabbest teacher I've met! We've got her Children's Letters to God and a Junior Dictionary for the classroom.
Night all xxxx
