A homage to the Nightmare Before Christmas song. DH obsessed with that film, we all (DD included) have to watch it on Christmas Eve.

Hello MissJ. I'm really pleased for you, that the expressing is going good and the bed cuddles are providing vital time with your squasher. We are co-cleeping too, not through choice, and it is lovely. Although Harriet was standing up, leaning on my boobs [ouch] doing big drools in my face at 5.45 this am. It was less fab at that point! Ah well.

Rememebr we got a picture session with a really kick ass photographer as part of Christening pressi? They are ready to collect tomorrow!! We got one framed print freee, but obviously no way I coul dleave it at that and basically spent rest of maternity leave money on that [and santa sleepover at Alton Towers with GodParents]. They are like Venture, and half the price. This is one of the pics here although we couldn't get this

DD1 has a very special moo [a noukies taggie that was orange, now beig/grey with no tags left] and we got her a good size framed print of dd and moo for Christmas. I think she will love it.

The santa sleepover programme came and it looks brilliant. First time ever they are opening the toddler rides in the park, so dd1 gets to go on the tractors etc. She will be soooooo pleased. Lots of shows and little disco and kids entertaiment in the eve. Then next day [Monday before Christmas] will be spent in the water park. WE also get to visit santa, dinner and breakfast. Both of which are all you can eat. And I can eat alot. For £200 for all of us!!

Can you tell I'm excited!!?? here

Went when dd2 was 6 weeks, took dd1 as a big sister pressi and got upgraded to Imperial Leather suite. Oh it was sooooo good. The bed was huge and themed like a bath. And DD slept in a yellow submarine bunkbed CHeck them out here. The Benjamin Bunny one is grand too. Stayed there before dd2.

nearly Everytime we have been dd1 has run at temp. Please let this one be different

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 20:23

Whoah big over excited post!!

PatTheHammer · 01/12/2009 20:25

Hello all, sorry major issues at home and work and am desperately trying to find some time somewhere..........arrggghhh!

MissJ- gald work is good and co-sleeping going well. Yes Z does take milk at nursery (about 6 oz in the day) but he was a bit smaller that Nye, probably no need for him to have it if he is eating well and not distressed.

Lenni- whats all this working and no skiving????

Moose- sorry to hear another moosemember is poorly, hope you can kic all these bugs into touch before xmas.

Tree- yes sorry I will fb you, just some stuff that has happened to two friends of mine recently and just seems the hospitals have not acted well at all, one might even say in one case they have caused a very sad situation, but then thats just my opinion! Not ignoring you, just trying to find a spare minute!!

I have a funny little image now of H building a ladder out of teddies in her cot .

Stripey- not sure what to say but sounds an awful situation. They still don't stop being your sibling though which makes it really difficult. If you were able to be objective you would tell yourself what was for the best, but sadly all the emotions make it difficult. I must say you seem to be doing well though and seem immensely practical about the situation.

Hey to books, 120, Tink and all.

Dog-get well soon x

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 20:27

Anytime Pat. Hope it all slows down soon.

Yes, where is dog??

Soccerette · 01/12/2009 20:38

HEEEELLLLOOOOOO

So sorry for not being in recently.

Offer accepted on new house. Aiming to complete for 1st Feb.

Everyone coming to us for Christmas - 16 of us! wow!

Esme a little Gem. Sort of crawling a weird looking way, is also sitting up in the morning when i go in. Sleeps well bar a few nights with teeth, poor mite, and last night about 10pm was howling, went in and was sitting up obviously unable to lay herself down! Poor baby.

Had a brainwave today, ordered a Dummy blackberry phone. she ADORES mine, so i thought i'd get her one to chew rather than chewing mine. £3 Ebay. Result!

Decided not to go overboard, what with first birthday looming & bound to get spoilt by Grandparents etc. So gone for;

cute tea set

Super cute mini backpack to take stuff to Daddy's matches!

Right better go & clear up.... MIL on route to us, OH at match tonight.

Hope you are all well...xxxxxx

moosemama · 01/12/2009 20:43

Tree! Gorgeous picture, I could eat her, she is so absolutely munchable.

Not sure how I could see it though, as I'm still not a facebook member.

MissJ, glad to hear you are getting plenty of cuddles.

Pat, hope things start to settle down for you really soon. December is exhausting enough without added work and family pressures.

Starting to get really worried about Dog now. Hope she is ok.

Hellooooooo Soccerette. Glad all is going so well. House very good. It all sounds really happy and fun!

Moose - that page is public as it is a shop/store page [I think but then FB is a mystery to me] - or maybe it's because I provided direct link in?

No Dog on FB I think her head was awdul and the GP gave her some serious painkillers, so maybe she is simply sleeping and floating. I hope so.

Cross posts Soccerette! Great news on the house front. Lovely to hear some good news.

We haven't bought dd much for christmas either just a light-up stacking tower and a vtech crawl ball thing. She will also be getting the ELC wooden post box from my PILs and is bound to get a spoiled by the rest of the family. Have promised the boys I will buy her a Busy Ball Popper from them though, as their cousin had one and they loved it (even at the ages of 4 and 6!) and really want to have one themselves her to have one.

Forgot to say earlier, the purple dress arrived today. Unfortunately, its nowhere near as nice as it looked online and its huge so won't fit her at christmas anyway. back to the drawing board methinks.

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 20:52

Ah yes thats what I thought

I'm rather fond of her

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 20:55

Actually I am a total numpty. Dog was on fb earlier and is feeling better. I just reread the day and realised who I had skimed over.

HUmble apologies Dog

moosemama · 01/12/2009 20:57

Thanks for the update Tree. Did the GP decide what it was?

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 20:57

ANd everyone needs to gossip lots so we can have a big fat twinkly Christmas thread title soon.....

Wonder how many threads we have had?

moosemama · 01/12/2009 20:59

I shall have to keep doing lots of little posts like these instead of my usual megaposts.

moosemama · 01/12/2009 21:03

I think we've had 17 threads including this one. (If I've counted my watched threads correctly that is.)

That's alot Although I joined woefully late. Can't think about the antenatal days. I could actually cry for those days

treedelivery · 01/12/2009 21:15

Got my return to work date too. Well, week, as no idea of off duty obviously. I also need to book the years holidays in and get the Jan-June-ish requests in. I have a wedding in April I really need to go to . Have booked hotel and everything. I hope I get the weekend off.

Back to being totally reliant on work ok-ing me to live my life

Off for steak and chips. Sudden urge

hackneyzoo · 01/12/2009 21:38

Stripey, sorry you are going through the mill with your sister. Hope the visit to your mum's went ok.

Hi Miss J, glad work is good, I have just agreed to go back full time from January as I like having fridays off, as we won't be so skint!

Moose, hope DH is feeling better and you too. I had an awful cold cough the weekend before last, it lasted about 4 days and I couldn't sleep with it, the coughing was actually making me sick, it was awful, never had anything like it before.

My mind is like a sieve so have just forgotten everything I read, evening to soccer, tink, books, tree, pat and 120... I need your shopping help.
My sister just rang and asked what J would like for Christmas , I have banned nay more toys as he has lots of Lily's old ones to keep him going so was thinking of a snowsuit as he needs one. The one I like is this one but its sold out.... any ideas where I can find a nice one?

120cmsOfSnow · 01/12/2009 22:02

Love the pic of H tree!

Have put a pic of my two on FB.

I too miss the slovernly days of having just one child and chatting into the night about when the bubs would come out. There is a German saying: 'Ein Kind ist kein Kind'. I now believe it, though would have fiercely denied it before H was born!

SherryMerryLennipillar · 01/12/2009 23:15

You will have to translate that for me FLF - I have no German whatsoever. Spanish, Italian, French I can muddle through but I couldn't even say yes in German.

We had this snowsuit for DS last year HKZ and it was lovely, is fleece lined so really warm. Not sure if you can get 12-18mo though, but try amazon/ebay.

stripeywoollenhat · 01/12/2009 23:48

one child is no child?

i think those germans didn't have a vomitous small girl in their house when they coined that one... just as i put her in bed - she got herself, her grobag, the sheet, mattress, me, the carpet: it was stupendous.

and her bcg scar erupted with green pus this evening too. it's been charming (i'm told it's perfectly normal for it to have taken this long...)
