A homage to the Nightmare Before Christmas song. DH obsessed with that film, we all (DD included) have to watch it on Christmas Eve.

Pah to Christmas presents - everyone knows we do very little by way of Christmas because we are broke!

Moose - take him to dr if you think a Dr could shed light or you are not sure what is wrong with him. Whilst it is daylight and the out of hours is probably at wherever they are based anyway. Much better for all of you, than worrying tonight when it is dark and cold and the visit seems so much bigger a major thing. Everything seems so much worse at night.

So so sorry for your sister Pat - at least they have you to help them should it go down that road. And donation is really ok to do. It really is. I feel ok today [apart from kicked by a horse feeling in my tummy and up my bum ] Odd, why my bum? Did the surgeon get confused?

Stripey - congratulations on crawling baby. Lovely. I heart little rugrats zooming about shouting at things and clobbering cats with bricks. They so so so love their independance. A whole new world!

This time last year we were in shell shock at dh's news. One year on and am waiting for a lab to make my year! Have updated eggy thread.

mm - so sorry for ds2 must be frustrating!!

treedelivery · 28/11/2009 21:45

OMG dd2 is soooooo grumpy and hyper!! She just got up and grabbed an Ikea meatball of nanna's plate and scoffed it. Am overlooking salt content and general nastiness of such a product this once. She obviously needs some serious protein!!

Will she ever go to bed? She only slept today as dh held her for 2 hours. I was asleep too, had a lovely nap and feel much recovered from yesterday.

SparkleandShine · 28/11/2009 21:48

Hello sorry for being away so long....

Just popped in to see how you all are and say James is walking (runs away again as I'm not really a competitive parent - honest )

SparkleandShine · 29/11/2009 08:09

hah see I've scared you all away with my walking 9 3/4 month old

stripeywoollenhat · 29/11/2009 09:29

sparkle - i'm not scared . i have a just crawling ten month old and i'm thinking of frbidding her to walk until she understands (and obeys) maternal commands... who knew there were so many wires in an ordinary house?

good to have you back

PatTheHammer · 29/11/2009 10:09

sparkle, I'm glad you think its a good thing!!! Zach took his first steps just before 9 months and now runs around like a mad thing and it is a NIGHTMARE!!! Well done James though

Stripey- I remember the wire stage well, quite fondly now. Zach has broken the child-lock off his cupboard and empties it out about 5 times a day, plastic bowls and cups everywhere, whilst helping himself to the occasional ricecake and biscuit, he is a one man hurricane.

Tree- can I message you on FB to get your opinion on some stuff, don't want to post on here as its quite upsetting? Well done you on your eggy mission!

HKZ- hope all goes well for J on the 9th and good luck for next thursday.

Busy weekend (just what I needed obviously). DD had a party yesterday and went to local winter wonderland in the morning to post letter to santa. Got friends coming round in a bit so making a lasange and cheesy pasta bake for lunch, somebody tell me just when I am supposed to get my house sorted, we have not ahd a spare weekend since we moved in!!

treedelivery · 29/11/2009 12:06

Of course Pat. Anytime. x

Helllooooo Sparkle. Lovely to hear about the walking boy

Still lazing about pleading pain from Friday. It is tender to be fair. HOuse is squalid. Sigh.

Girls at a party in a play gym, which I was most certainly not up to!

H is a loon at the moment. She was up till 4am shouting if we moved, or if the cat moved, or if the wind blew. This moring she is just roaring at thing, a complete diva. Hope this phase passes soon...say by school run tomorrow. Have given some analgesia as perhaps a tooth is cutting.

moosemama · 29/11/2009 13:06

Morning,

Hi Sparkle, great to hear from you - well done James for walking. Though I am firmly in Stripey's camp and have forbidden dd to walk at least until after the Christmas tree has come down. Its going to be bad enough with her getting at the lower branches without her getting any higher up. (We have plans to tie it to the toy bench to stop her pulling it over.)

Pat, totally get where you are coming from with the chaotic weekends. We are exactly the same, meeting ourselves coming back and no time to do anything proactive. Hope you get some down time this evening.

Tree, H sounds just like dd. She has been like that for a couple of weeks now and sleep went out the window at the same time as the arrival of all the wacky moods. She yells out in her sleep every half hour to 45 minutes or so and dh and I are like zombies as a result. We have to do half night shifts or we'd never cope. Its such a shock to the system, as all 3 of ours have always been good sleepers - up till now, so we've never had to go through it before. Its probably karmic or summat. Looked it up in the book and sure enough we are due for another developmental leap, so all normal.

We are also being woken between 1 and 3 times a night by ds2. Unfortunately, he seems to wake when dd is asleep, so its a double whammy.

Ooh, yes, almost forgot, bought a lovely dark purple smocked dress for dd for christmas yesterday - 1 down, 2 to go! (Although I do have one in reserve at home if she grows a bit between now and then, so could get away with one more, possibly.)

Right, am on a mission, I have a plan to buy at least 5 family presents and all the wrapping paper online today (managed 2 yesterday).

treedelivery · 29/11/2009 13:14

moose - I can see changes in Harriet, and hear them too. Her voice has changes, she makes longer more complex sounds, her crawling is now super speedy, and she is reacting in a different way to things. She is interactive baby x1000. I think her brain is buzzing!!

Like my ears, along with my itchy eyes.

If anyone knows owt about ivf please go to my eggy thread in conception before I google

Dress sounds lovely.

tinkerbellstinkerbells · 29/11/2009 13:55

afternoon

stripeywoollenhat · 29/11/2009 14:24

tree, i googled ([nosey emoticon]) - no need for shuddering (unless google is lying)

treedelivery · 29/11/2009 15:06

Cheers stripey Google scares me

dog, if you still have a headache today, maybe you sohlud go to doc? i hope you are feeling better

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 11:22

Hi everyone.

Dog is off to the DR this am, it was on FB. It has got worse, poor poor thing.

The embryos are being put in today. This is huge. Let it work.

Harriet just did a poo that made her scream and her anus nearly folded inside out [TMI - sorry] am a bit overstimulated and stressed here!!

Also trouble with miss J this am, bless her. Pot of anxiety and stress.

stripeywoollenhat · 30/11/2009 11:31

bit of family stress about to land here (sister, don't get me started) - that's a rubbish monday all round, then...

but all fingers crossed for those embryos, tree

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 11:35
moosemama · 30/11/2009 13:18

Dog, really hope the docs manage to sort you out with some pain relief or even better something to stop it completely. Gentle hugs to you.

Tree, poor little H. When are you next seeing her consultant? I have everything crossed for the embryos.

Stripey, hope its nothing serious and is swiftly resolved.

Ds2 went back to school this morning. Wrote them a letter and spoke to his teacher, but have been on pins all morning waiting for them to phone and ask me to fetch him. It didn't help to hear about all the children and teachers that have been off with either a really nasty flu virus or swine flu (obviously no-one knows which one they've had). I dread him catching another chest infection while he's still so depleted.

Had an awful, awful time with ds1 last night - over numeracy homework of all things. Lots of shouting and tears on both sides. I'm still feeling really upset about it now, even though we made up and he went off to school happily enough this morning. I never let him leave his homework until the weekend normally, but didn't have a choice as last week was so disruptive there was no chance to get it done on a school night.

I hate this time of year.

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 14:02

Poor you Moose, and both your boys. All feeling it. It's a long and tedious term. I know Christmas is lovely, but it only just makes up for freezing cold school runs and dark nights, and weekends where it never gets ligh. Pah.

2 embryos are in and looking for somewhere to park. I won't be breathing out for 16 day 16!! Good grief.

moosemama · 30/11/2009 14:28

Found a mince pie and broke my 'no mince pies until December the first' rule.

Thanks for the sympathy Tree, don't really feel all that deserving though, there are others with waaay bigger problems than mine on this thread.

2 embryos in place - ooo, could even be twins! So December 15th is test/result day then? Its so exciting, what a truly beautiful Christmas present you will have given them if it all comes together.

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 14:34

You are worried about your boys though, and worrying about our children is totally heart breaking. So have the sympathy and like it

Have decided it's SAinsbury for tea tonight. I can't face home and the witching hour. Plus if I don't get some chocolate coins etc, the beautiful cloth advent calendar I bought last year will be a severe let down! T'was meant to be a joyfull thing, choosing trinkets for it, to hang in our elegant home, fire burning, happy shiny faces wondering what the treat will be.....

...stop pissing yourselves!!!!!

Back in bed with H-bomb. At least she is sleeping and resting. Even if I am starving and looking around m bedroom at a bombsite.

treedelivery · 30/11/2009 14:49

What can I send this mamma in waiting? I was thinking an oil, or a crystal [they know I'm a hippy loon] or a supplement, or something?

moosemama · 30/11/2009 20:17

What about some moonstone? Its such a beautiful crystal, is associated with feminine energy and hormone cycles etc and so is considered beneficial to conception and childbirth. Its also considered useful for releasing old emotional wounds and problems.

Moonstone Properties Information Here

My Mum bought me a moonstone necklace when I decided I wanted to start a family and I've worn it throughout all three of my pregnancies.
