Oooh ALBS yes yes yes to a London meetup please Hmm, don't want to seem too eager do I?

miamla what is your secret? (it's going to be something really obscure I can just tell.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 15/10/2009 14:03

Wotcha DD beeing v fussy on the food front at the mo. She will sit and flap excitedly as the food is presented, then have a hissy fit as if I am poisoning her when I put food on her tray or give her a spoon. After a bit might eat some and then just point at whatever I am drinking or the fruit bowl and repeat "nana" ad infinitum.

So today she had a taste of saugsage stew, half a clementine and a digestive biscuit.

SIL got DD this pop up toy for her birthday. The holes are just the right size for keeping saltanas and bits of breadsticks in.

oooh just heard Goldman Sachs are paying out big bonuses this year, what should I put on my Christmas list to my biggest bro?

MiamlaMwahHahahahahaaaaaaa · 15/10/2009 14:07

i was going to leave you in suspense for a little longer but not sure when i'll be back on here sooooooo If i give DS a whole orange to eat after dinner (cut into segments obviously!) he sleeps all night! I have tried not giving it to him on random nights (including after days when we've had good naps and therefore should have good night sleep) and he's woken loads! but after an orange, even with a cold and teething pains, he sleeps until 5!!!!!

i'm also trying to get the wake up time later... it used to be that at 5 he was wanting to get up and play but at the very least he wanted milk. Now, the 5 wake up can be treated as a during the night wake up (ie without milk, lay down, pat, ssh) and he then sleeps on til 7!!!!!!

sorry, i know i'm gloating but i think i'm allowed to just a little bit given that we were still having 10+ wake ups til fairly recently!!!!

steaknifethroughtheheart · 15/10/2009 14:18

Miamla and her magic orange.

alittlebitshy · 15/10/2009 14:24

hmm...london meetup. where? when? who?

steaknifethroughtheheart · 15/10/2009 14:27

Discussing the important issues of the day here tell me what you think.

Miamla I also like the ver scientific approach you have taken in your research.

UndeadLentil · 15/10/2009 15:46

All of you with three year-olds might like this elephant song as much as we do.

dd2 climbing on me so hello and goodbye.

The undead one, that is so lovely.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/10/2009 18:06

steaky I have to hold back on my opinion of the beetles, as I wind dh up and other people when I say they are over rated.
dh often argues and says I call myself a misic minded person and I don't like them, they changed music fgs.

Well I agree I do like a lot of the stuff, but they don't 'do it' for me. IWKWIM.

Now ABBA. how can you not sing along.

undead sweet song.

miamla great on the ornage theory, whatever works I say. Banana and bread are supposed to be good for sleep.

Ds has now slept for 12 hour for the last 6 nights.
Just need to sort out dd.

Off to preschool meeting, think I have been nominated for the board.
As you are not allowed to enrol yourself.
back later. [smiel]

Hi to evreryone btw

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/10/2009 18:07

Beetles.
Beatles even.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 15/10/2009 18:08

Misic?? I have no idea what this is.

UndeadLentil · 15/10/2009 18:12

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 15/10/2009 18:38

Smiels to everyone.

ALBS I am in London 5th - 8th Nov but only avail evenings as have course by day - so you or anyone wanting dins and drinks let me know. I know evenings are harder.

Hmmmmmmm talking of dinner...

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 15/10/2009 18:40

A Whopper . I know exactly how to make em due to having worked at BK and having undergone BK masterchef training. If you EVER want a Whopper call me and I will make you one and you won't actually have to go to BK.

When I say how they are made I really mean how they are assembled entre buns - not how burgers made (eek).

Winibaghoul · 15/10/2009 18:47

Oooh vg yum. Haven't had a whopper in yonks

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 15/10/2009 19:17

Bun bum, burger, onions, gherkins, ketch and moutarde
Bun hat, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo
Slap em and wrap em
Voila
Dins

UndeadLentil · 15/10/2009 19:27

Burger assembly doesn't get much tougher than that.

OP posts:
steaknifethroughtheheart · 15/10/2009 19:27

You put bums and hats in burgers!

UndeadLentil · 15/10/2009 19:32

She's pushing gastronomy to the limits.

vg YES let's try and do dinner and drinky poos. Would miamla, pertelote and anyone vaguely near London be up for ir too? What days of the week are those dates? i am desperately hoping it is midweek as i know we are away that weekend (families pilgrimage in walsingham).

alittlebitshy · 15/10/2009 19:47

oh no VG it is the weekend. Dh has a course he co-leads on each Thurs eve but if i give him enough notice can sometimes get out of it. if you are def around on the Thurs I will see if i can make it out to play.

BucketsOfBlood · 15/10/2009 20:13

Bloody hell Gordon Brown on MN tomorrow eh? I'm willing to bet the thread about it is already hysterically funny, haven't got time to go look though (will be 100 pages long.)

Yeah give me the Stones over the Beatles any day. Beatles were so sexless, The Stones were just filth.

Now, London Meetup. Did anyone get round to booking a place at the official MN one on 21st Nov? I have that weekend free if we fancied doing something ourselves? How about a girly night in, takeaway and sleepover chez Albs or Miamla? If that's ok with you guys? I have been saving the John Hughes movie Sixteen Candles DVD for just such an occasion...

BucketsOfBlood · 15/10/2009 20:15

Might even be able to manage Fri 6th in London but not the Thurs or the Sat...

alittlebitshy · 15/10/2009 20:16

pssst buckets i think the MN one is 28th Nov. I put my name on the list but haven't done anything more. hmm.....
