Miss Dizzy - how does the Isabella Oliver top fit? I am 16/18 in the boob department will it be snug?

I am off for an early night as DD woke at 5 and I stupidly went for a wee before going to her so she was awake and singing boooooobie, boooop, beeeeedd PaPa, Paaaaaaaaap. and I gave in at 6 an brough her down where she ran riot terrorising the sleeping cats and making the most unholy racket! DH came down at 7.30 and took over for 45mins before she got too much and he needed to do some work.

We collected the car today and they have fitted one of their carseats which has an inmpact cushion instead of harness. DD is still a little short but she loved it and slept very comfortably in it all the wasy home.

Will catch up in the morning before DH drags us off to test drive the car on a Looong run. It's a pity Sazz isn't home as we are passing her front door.

ALBS - Sky is doing a free movie pass this weekend might be worth seeing if you can get Disney on it.

poppysocks · 30/10/2009 20:59

Done! Thank you dizzy . Let the unmasking commence... (I do realise that I'm about 1.5 yrs behind everyone else on this ). I have managed to remove the terrible photo (taken by DD1 ) that was there but have yet to find a suitable replacement.... May take some time..... Anyhoo....

Goody albs! Any suggestions?

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 21:00

Oops, what kind of car did you get? hope you get a better night sleep

I have to admit they were too small for me once I was big but I am a 20 on top so was probably pushing my luck with them - would you like me to send them so you can try, no hassle if you don't want them

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 21:00

oh and have suggested you all for Poppy on FB so please accept her and kindly out yourselves (privately of course)

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 21:02

ALBS - here is a link to the cinemagic page for all the films

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 30/10/2009 21:02

Dizzy - the purple on is the one I am after as we are off to a big party in December and I need to look purdy. Will legitimately bid for it. We have a BMW 530d estate which is the basic description it is a bit like a entertainment system/office/small house on wheels!

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 21:06

you bloody well will not, FB me your address and I'll pop it in the post - if you don't like/doesn't suit then I'll put it back on

car sounds great, estate a very good idea lol

poppysocks · 30/10/2009 21:12

That's on our shortlist for when we change things over next summer oops, so please report back.

BucketsOfBlood · 30/10/2009 21:19

Wotcha! One frazzled and bored mamma here, finally managed to get on my mum's pc.
Caravan minibreak was ok but fairly tiring, sooo much driving and v little time out from kids (friend and I ran round the field in circles on Wednesday night we were so relieved to have all the kids in bed.) Lunch chez Steaky was lovely and such a welcome stop on the way home. Ministeak is such a sparkly little friend and Steaky's homemade apple pie was a big hit with me and my dad (who ate my doggy bag without permission).
Saw DH for about 2hrs last night, I have him tomorrow (well, I'm off out for some me-time in the daytime) then he's off out Sunday. Kitchen back home is a big old hole now but nothing has gone wrong... yet. The money came through on Wednesday, thank God as my new catflap alone is going to end up costing £100-odd (don't ask.)
Hopefully I'll be able to stop rushing around soon and have some time to cheer up (and catch up on MN). Oh and AF (due Mon) still not here, despite 10days of PMT.

pertelote · 30/10/2009 21:30

Hi all. How are you all, hope you are all looking at a jolly weekend?

Am keen to join in mooted meetings on Thurs and 28th - still prefer daytime + babies but could almost certainly be persuaded to party at least once if that best suits our visitors from afar?

Took DD to 'toddler world' soft play today for first time, little poppet seemed to enjoy herself, had a triple-length nap and woke up with new sounds which seem to mean 'jump', 'boing' and 'ee-i-ee-i-o'. To a mother's fond ear, that is.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 30/10/2009 23:19

Evening all.
Strange day here. We had to go up to the BIG Fabric shop today. It is right next to the train line up to Exeter but of course on the stop that has lots of stairs and no access for the wheeled. And I manage to take the least practical handbag ever.

But fabric shop was fab and didn't mind DD crawling round all over the place. I couldn't find anything to match her old blinds that I was going to re-cycle so instead just bought new. This print but with pink, green, cream and black print. And a matching stripe.

So I thought I would just do a loose cover for the chair but started stripping the old off and ended up completely taking it to pieces. So I've given myself a crash course in upholstery. [meep]

MidnightSlayer · 30/10/2009 23:57

i have truly been out of the loop for so long mn required me to "log on" when i got to the chat area. then i couldn't remember my halloween chat name.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 31/10/2009 07:20

Yawning all.
Left overs for brekker here, apple pie and apple-strudel muffins on the table.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 31/10/2009 07:31

Morning Steaky mmm muffins - yum. All I can offer is raisin wheats and toast BUT I have made some blackberry jam which is delicious. Fabric for DD's blinds look great.

a good night here DD grizzlesd at 4 then came in to us at 5.30 and slept until 6.45. So we are down watching the rain with apple juice and toast. I have gone off tea so am tryingto find a substitute and I can't find anything - I WANT TEA! bleurgh no I don't.

smelliness is calling back later.

luckoftheirish · 31/10/2009 07:46

just to let you know i've requested a load of you to be my friend on fb.. billy no mates here.. please feel free not to respond if u don't want to

dizzydixies · 31/10/2009 08:46

LOTI - how wonderful, what a difference some sleep can make. Sorry things still rough though have you added me on FB?

Fell asleep on top of dh on couch last night only to be woken at 12:30 but sound of some serious vomitting upstairs DD2 again and it wasn't pleasant at all, poor DD1 got a fright and started crying and DH managed to deal with DD2 whilst I got the pleasant job of bed stripping and cleaning - NOW ordinarily I wouldn't mind but this is the second time this week AND DD3 pooped on DD2's bed yesterday in a rare moment of nappy freedon (I'd nipped to my room to get the wipes/fresh nappy) so I'd had my fill of cleaning it all up

right, sorry - I really shouldn't start the day with woes of poop & puke. Not raining here (so far) so off to get my witch/skeleton and cat dressed for the day and head out for some Halloween fun - no more episodes during the night so fingers crossed we won't have a poorly cat - she was spiderman with a rabbit mask on yesterday so not sure how she'll personalise the cat yet but am happy to let the creativity flow!!!

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 31/10/2009 09:55

Oh dizzy sorry re. your messy start to day. Enjoy Halloween fun with the girls today. I think we are having The Grim Reaper here and ds2 is dressing up as a baby.

BucketsOfBlood · 31/10/2009 15:02

Afternoon ladies.
Got my hair cut and coloured on impulse today to make the most of my 24hrs not being a single mum. Some ashy brown and blonde foils and layers which must have lost me a few pounds by the feel of it all.

Just making a hideous halloween cherry flan to pacify the kids as we forgot all about Halloween. Indian takeaway from Aaaasderrrrs tonight.

Better go, my mum's big fat cushion cat is snoring at me (he is awake but I am in his seat.)

Good news on the sleep ladies.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 31/10/2009 15:56

Love the new hair do buckets dizzy what a night/week for you.
Hope you manage a good day with the dds and no illness.

I am back home from my dsisters.(she decided to go to the wedding afterall)

All kids were great, we spent yesterday afternoon carving pumpkins. I am quite impressed by my carved bat and carved ghouls (sp?)

However dd had rough night with bad dreams of dniece and dnephews monster halloween masks getting her.
She must have woke and whimpered every hour.
She then woke to say caterpillars were getting her. bless.
She been very grumpy and overtired today after a 6.30 start, but just wont go to sleep.

I am thinnking the party we are supposed to be going to at 5 will be sadly missed today. possible more halloween masks may create another bad/sleepness night.

Off to catch up.

dizzydixies · 31/10/2009 16:13

oh poor DD No1 its very hard for them to understand that these scarey things are just pretend - know what you mean about refusing sleep - I have two who are very over tired here as well Dylan is hanging off me sucking her thumb but won't go to sleep - I on the other hand could happy fall asleep right here - why oh why have I invited my friend and her kids down tonight?!?!?

lovely new do Buckets was due to have mine done this morning but cashflow and guilt stopped me

Sazz we were at Cairnie for Halloween event today, was fab and springlike and loved by all - INCLUDING my friend David tried explaining but DH pulled a swift one and told him he was nothing like Mr Sazz and it was all in my head Funny Mr Dixie

SazZaVoom · 31/10/2009 17:28

Evening

Mamma Mia on, DH lighting fire with DD1's help and i'm wibbling in the corner recovering from my time away in charge of two crazy non sleeping toddlers. Am a shadow of my former self

Will converse more when i am able

steaknifethroughtheheart · 31/10/2009 19:31

I forgot about Trick or Treaters. The first scary clown that came to the door just got an "erm no" and the door shut on him. I am now ignoring any knock on the door.
