Oops well done to your little sis.

Steaky hope the wand speeded up a bit.

Dizzy have applied mucho arnica as DS appears to have a big bump to his chin as well as the cut to his mouth & tongue. He's fine and managed to eat a good dinner if not a good breakfast and lunch but the resulting lack of food and DH getting him really over excited at bed time as he was home early from work meant that we had a 4am wake up! Aaargh plus he's miserable again this morning as he's so tired.

Wini shame about the name change competition we were waiting for you to share the goodies with us!

SazZaVoom · 30/10/2009 07:07

Morning

Just popping on for the early morning round. I went to bed at 9pm , DD1 stayed dry all night and only DD2 waking at 5.45 spoiled my aim of a sleep filled night. Ho hum, i feel a bit more human now

Lovely day at Wisley Gardens yesterday with Mum, DSis and niece & nephew in the warm sunshine. Took a picnic and it was just like summer!

Well done Oopsasister

Sounds like a lovely minimineet

no1 the coat is lovely. If you were looking for a classic one, there is a beautiful double breasted red one in Sainsbury's for £20. I would have got DD1 one had i not already got her 2 coats including a black double breasted . Really hope Dsis gets some support now

cece sounds like a lovely day with DS1. I'll bet he had a lovely time with just his mummy and loads of treats

loti i hope DH is coming to realise he has been a twat and the silence shocks him into some sense

dizz well done on the ebaying. oops i can vouch that the double buggy is lurverly and DD1 has road tested it . Hope you are well on the way to world ebay domination . BTW i still have a huge pile of stuff to go on, so can you come and do mine whilst you are in the zone?

Off today for a bit of shopping and then to friends house tonight for some girly natter, wine and takeaway. Just hoping the DD's settle ok somewhere new so i can relax and enjoy. Enjoy your friday's ladies and see you soon

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 07:20

I thought I might, for the first time in AGES, be the first on and be able to provide brekker but I see Sazz beat me to it!!! Then again, she hasn't left breakfast so I'll do it anyway

croissants/toast and homemade Sazz Jam all round

shit night here, girls went down no bother although DD2 protesting as overtired - she woke up and demanded in our bed (at a most inappropriate moment if truth be told ) and was duely binned back to her own - made her way back through in early hours of morning though and DH and I were subjected to elbows & kicking from about 4am onwards - he eventually gave up and went to work being early for the early shift for the first time in his current career

Dylan currently eating weetabix using 3 spoons and DD1 now up so time to get sorted for school run - sending DD2 to playgroup in leopard print trousers and a cat top with a hair band with ears on it and will blacken out her nose and give her whiskers etc, DD1 going to be a witch tomorrow with purple & black striped tights and purple shiney doc martens (not a throw back to my goth days at all and Dylan has a wee velour skeleton costume which she can go in tomorrow! DD2 has also been insisting on being spiderman so I managed to get boys pyjamas which are black with just a spiderman face on it from H&M which she can have on tomorrow and then use for bedtime!

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 07:23

thanks for the pram promo Sazz enjoy your night and hope the girls are good for MammySazz

Lentil - hope you're enjoying your break away

VG, without trying to be cryptic, the job situation that we were discussing when I was over has had a positive result for South Africa so a bit of a double edged sword there - how did you get on with the car? apologies if I've missed that update and hope the Inverness marathon promo is going strong

Snot - glad the wee man managed some dinner but sorry to hear you had a poor night too

No1 - what a shame for your dsis, sounds exhausting, hope it settles with some decent support soon

morning all else - I may be back on during the day as I'm becoming a touch obsessed with my ebay listings and watching to see who is watching them

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 07:31

oh and seeing as I have been rather lacking on the posting front recently here is a quick update

D is no longer being bfed, I stopped a few weeks ago and she seems to be ok with that

since she started walking properly last week there is no stopping her - she just turned round and did her usual few steps and instead of dropping and speeding off crawling she just kept going

sleeping not too bad however can still be up ridicliously early most days

speaking a few definate words, usual suspects BUT I swear (and don't laugh) she says things like 'Here you go' and 'whats that' because it sounds like it and she's done it more than a few times now - I'm sure am just imagining it though!!!

favourite things are climbing up on top of the toy basket before sitting on the edge of it and throwing everything out/ remote controls/ shouting Hi down the phone and raving up and down the stairs

next week will be the first time I have left her for any length of time, I've only left her overnight once so far and I'm feeling a touch pathetic about it

right am off before this becomes the Dizzy Friday show

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 30/10/2009 07:45

Well I was rather enjoying the dizzy show and your croissants are butterily, flakily delicious as Nigella might say. Farkin hell I do understand your cryptic crossword clue and am but look I hope it all works out for everyone all together. LOL at here you go and shouting into hte phone, ds2 does that too, "Daddy! Daddy! DADDY!" but usually it's into the tv remote.

I have the trembles as I am leaving ds2 (and ds1 but he is better able) for FOUR DAYS next week he will be completely different when I get back and what it he gets used to life without me I am going to have to get ds1 to wear my perfume etc.

Sazz welcome back! Lucky you on the family picnic front sounds gorge.

wolfie I know you are right about the niceness of hte book surrounds. I bet you will have another baby pronto, I think you should!

steaknifethroughtheheart · 30/10/2009 08:26

Just popping on to wave and offer up my Stella ticket to anyone that wants it.

Stella thread here

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 30/10/2009 08:39

Ann I couldn't get 6-18mo (perhaps I should have gone online), selection was v limited in "real" grobags (hence flowers) which I always think are more reassuring somehow if you are worried about a baby's temperature regulation etc. and I thought 18mo up would be more useful for longer. I know ds2 is in mostly 18mo clothes and he's not a particularly big boy any more. If you think you won't use it hopefully you might find someone to pass it on to.

Right have to get a bit of work done before lunch hope someone gets to see Stella, see y'all.

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 10:08

VG - you and I shall be in the same boat next week however I shall certainly NOT be asking the MIL to wear my perfume

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 10:25

wonder why the Havianna flip flops aren't selling in Oct?!?!?!?

CaptainCaveman · 30/10/2009 11:10

dizzy don't get lost in the labyrinth of ebay, mind you, you probably know your way around there by now

vg where are you off to next week?

albs how was your evening out? mmmmm, curry....

Did I tell you that O took 10 steps a couple of days ago. Some of you may have seen the post on facebook. Clever lad. He's mightily proud of himself, but more often than not he just falls on his face . Is he the last of the gang to be upright? Laid back, as ever

Today we're off to twinlakes, a fabbo indoor and outdoor place for kids. Our annual pass runs out tomorrow so we're making the most of it!!!

poppysocks · 30/10/2009 14:17

Sorry to rush off the other day loti. How are things today?

Hello dizzy! Well done with all the ebaying. V. brave to give away all the baby stuff. My sister has mine just in case... not that that eventuality will ever come to pass . Definitely no shoddy contraception here .

Stupidly busy few days and DH currently not speaking to me . Won't bore you with the details and I'm pretty irritated with him too (bloody typical after the good write-up I gave him the other day) but also trying to stay calm and understanding and generous as he's having a pretty rough time at the mo.

Now, ladies, any further thoughts about a meet on Saturday 28th Nov? Need to start making plans for my trip down south. (That'll be my first night away from DD2 at all ) Would love to see anyone who's around and fancies it... We were talking about the Saturday because of the main MN meet, but if that's not so good for but another time that weekend would be better, that could work for me too.

Also, DH finally got fed up with me using his Facebook account so set me up (with the WORST photo he could find of me). After a month of ignoring it I think I should probably embrace it, so... will anyone be my friend??

steaknifethroughtheheart · 30/10/2009 14:19

I'll be your friend!

poppysocks · 30/10/2009 14:31

Ooh Thank you! What's the best way to find you steaky? Coo-ee dizzy - you around? I know who you are, so could you lend a hand?

steaknifethroughtheheart · 30/10/2009 14:47

If you make friends with Dizzy then I can find you - though I didn't have much luck with Loti and she had to find me.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 30/10/2009 14:51

or just find me - initial R D C

poppysocks · 30/10/2009 14:57

Thanks steaky. Will get onto it ths evening. For now I need to decide whether DD1 gets to go to the Hallowe'en party at her dancing class after a truly appalling tantrum this morning. Thought we were over all that... Anyway, am I that cruel??

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 17:24

ladies, I have added Poppy as a friend on my FB, she'll show on my profile page as being added as a friend - initials CW

poppy, if you accept me I show you who everyone is!!

alittlebitshy · 30/10/2009 18:46

I can't see her dizzy .

can you make a friend suggestion for me? (poppy i mean not a random one {grin])

itshotterinhell · 30/10/2009 18:52

Have had a horrible hormonal day but feeling better now I have some M&S choc pudding in my tummy and a payday-celebrating dinner waiting in the fridge until the DC are in bed

Sorry to hear you can't make it to the Stella Show Steaky, anyway the goody bags will be rubbish and clothes not as good as you can make 'em

Poppy and Loti I'll be your friend too if you want I think I am friends with all this lot, I've the same last name as the naughty older lady from the film The Graduate

Ooh and my new boots came today, they are a bit short and finish about 4" below the knee but they are nice, hurrah

alittlebitshy · 30/10/2009 19:09

ooh yes poppy nov 28th sounds good for a london meetup!!!!

what shall we all do??

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 19:28

because she hasn't >accepted me yet

Poppy, I have requested you as a friend and you have to add me so I can point you in the right direction

Hots - sorry you've had a hormonal day - hope the pudding helped

for all of those with Sky - because its English half term Disney Cinemagic are showing tonnes of films - am currently taping them all to save me faffing about with DVDs

alittlebitshy · 30/10/2009 19:50

ooh what films? not sure we have disney cinemagic dd was asking about it today and i think we don't have that in our package. Boo.

CaptainCaveman · 30/10/2009 20:23

Great day out with ds's. O just been forced put to sleep by dh. It took him 45 mins to get him off - thats payback for the 3 hours O was awake on weds eve whilst dh was out

Might have to start christmas shopping tomorrow as both ds's at grandmas again

dizzydixies · 30/10/2009 20:50

ALBS I've seen pinochio, aladdin, ratatouille on so far today but will have a look and let you know

CC don't discount the wonders of online shopping for the joy of christmas shopping - I also tend to do it when on a nightshift and Tesco is empty!!!
