Dizzy - I wish I knew you were selling your double - I seem to be in the market for one!

No1 - very of you horsey outdoor days.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/10/2009 17:40

vg consider the whipp cracked.

I think bookstores are wonderful places, especially the little ones which look hidden and all the books look old. I feel they have some kind of magical mystery element. LOOK getting all soppy again.

Being with the horses is great, it ehas i4ts moments with the dcs mind, get a bit frustrsted not having much one to one with them when I have dcs, but we got a routine going and its working well so far...

dizzy thanks for letting me use meep I was awaiting the seal of approval
I am now hunting a new winter coat for dd. Have seen this. Is it wrong??

I do have dd on one knee and ds on the other, who are goin gmad trying to touch the halloween emoticons.
So that is my excuse.

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 18:09

oops that is fantastic news, a great achievement, well done to your sis and the double hasn't sold yet btw, I have had an offer from a lady in Germany which is a PITA for courier and another lady in Edinburgh is interested - just look for me on FB, in this guise, if you're interested - I am asking rather a lot of money for it though is it is practically brand new

No1 - coat is lovely and how do you have an ex brother, can I dump mine too?!?!

steaknifethroughtheheart · 29/10/2009 18:24

Hello all.

no1 your outdoorsy days sound great.

We had a lovely, if slightly hectic day here.

The Buckets Brood came for lunch. So in the morning I was very Domestic Goddess and made quiche and apple pie. [yumm]

Izzy loved having all three of the small buckets to play with. Master Buckets is ideal for patting and Little Miss Buckets for cuddling and Littlest Bucket for making faces with over lunch.
I think every single toy we have was played with and Buckets herself was as lovely as ever.

Then in the afternoon Mother Steak took us out for an exciting tour of the DIY shops of Exeter and back to hers for tea and cake.

I am pooped!

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 18:26

ah steaky - sounds fab

steaknifethroughtheheart · 29/10/2009 18:28

It was.

I am in awe of your ebaying. I keep looking at the spare high chair and thinking "I must photograph that today to put it on ebay"
Still haven't.

Who has the thread magic wand? I could do with it for the tidying up this evening.

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 29/10/2009 18:30

Dizzy - will get DH to look although it is a little early for us to be looking at things like that. Do you own a shoe warehouse? What a funky selectioon of fab shoes.

Steaky - sounds like a good day was had by all.

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 18:40

tis only the first half of my listings, I've still to delve deeper into the wardrobe to see what else I can put on [meep]

no pressure at all re the pram, it would be nice for someone (hector and Poppy) to have it but am resigned to the fact it has to go and now

alittlebitshy · 29/10/2009 18:42

that is cute no1!

(btw not refreshed since 17.47 post so i am referring to coat lol).

refreshing any mo but first:

Vg still on for next thurs????

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 18:43

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 18:53

sorry, shameless plug

CaptainCaveman · 29/10/2009 18:54

vg did you buy that coat from Boden when we were pg? The stunning yellow one? I've been wearing mine recently and had lots of compliments about it

lol at shoddy contraception. cyteen I too peak at the ante-natal threads with ency curiosity

steaky if you do manage to find the thread magic wand, send it up to Nottingham when you've done? ta

Up was fab, a little bit scary in parts for ds1 but we had good fun. We went to buy dh's bday cards after, and ds1 declared he'd like to buy a card with daddy's age on (42) and a pint of beer "coz daddy likes it". Can't argue with that!

CaptainCaveman · 29/10/2009 18:55

for ency read ENVY

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 19:06

ROFL CC he is adorable we enjoyed UP when we saw it on Sun too - DD1 keeps running about shouting POINT and being a bit disappointed when our dog looks at her a bit

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 19:16

DH is getting the girls undress whilst I pap more stuff on ebay - he has told them that they're too tired and they're not having a bath but going upstairs for story and bed - DD2 has just retorted that she IS in fact having a bath and that the duck (her bathtime rubber ducky) said so!!!!!

going to be a long bedtime fight routine struggle me thinks - had better go and help

alittlebitshy · 29/10/2009 19:25

we loved Up too. dd had made an adventure book .

am off out now - woop woop. babysitter doing dd's story, am checking ds is asleep then am off to indian to join dh and our lovely lodger who leaves us tomorrow

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 29/10/2009 19:28

CC I did get that coat and it was gorgeous BUT the yellow did not suit me one bit and it was too long not deliberately iyswim and I gave it away! I bet you look fab in it you are also v slim so will look v sharp on you belted.

ALBS am on for Thur ANYONE ELSE Lunnon ladies or nearby want to go for dinner / drinks on Thur pm venue tba?????

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 19:35

not to worry VG - I can always buy a new one if number 4 accidently happened along

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 29/10/2009 19:58

Glad you had a lovely day cc

Just spoke to my dsis and she very

I am supposed to be staying over at hers tomorow with all our brood as she is going to a wedding with her new partner.

She has had a shocking day with her middle ds who is struggling and she is worn out and can't cope with it all.

Sounds really low and she had a fall out with dp because she has no energy left to go to this wedding.

tbf he is getting very challenging, and she has had one hell of a week with school who won't recognise or accept his needs.
They finally witnessed one of his violent shouty episodes at school this week and were shocked and horrifed.
she said 'welcome to my world' as they didnt believe her.

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 29/10/2009 20:03

oops jolly well done to your little sis, how very proud you must be.

dizzy sorry, that was probably the height of cyteen crassness as usual when I know you would love another - please forgive me for being flippant.

no1 I too read your tales of outdoor life with admiration and envy. I bet the kids love tromping around getting to know the animals and it tires them out nicely

Do you have an outfit in mind for your sister's wedding yet?

Re. DCs, I would love another after the wedding and already plan to tell suggest to DP that we start trying as soon as we're married. It's hard to imagine loving anyone or anything as much as I love DS but I guess all parents of one feel that way and then find the love once the next LOs get here.

VG never be ashamed of children spending time with books! Some of my most magical early childhood times were spent in our local library which had a fantastic children's section and was housed in a rambling old manor with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Many were the hours I spent sitting engrossed in a book or surreptitously following my mum into the adult section, taking down the big books and wondering what they meant.

dizzydixies · 29/10/2009 20:35

cyteen not to worry at all, I never even thought about it like that at all

VG am with cyteen on the book thing, mine adore their books and we spend a lot of time reading here

steaknifethroughtheheart · 29/10/2009 21:03

CC I found the magic wand but I'm afraid it is on go slow. It has taken it all this time to clear up and get my dinner on.
Maybe I shouldn't have let it have the TV on while it was supposed to be magicing.
