Morning Loti

DD has not done badly with the changes - she woke at 4 thinking it was time to mave in with us but I fed her and she went back in hers until 5.30 then came in with us and I finally gave in at 6.15 and brought her downstairs. She has been very sweet though and has just discovered we have moved her toys from the sitting room to a little alcove under hte stairs. It's like she has a whole lot of new toys!

I had best go and make some breakfast before she eats the cat!

Dizzy - Hector is definitely on our boys list top for me but second for DH. Other names are Alexander (DH) Joseph, Noah and James. So for me Hector wins!

Thank you for all the lovely kind words I am slowly getting used to the idea that we are really having another baby although the ILs came ot visit last night and just went on and on about how they didn't know how we could improve on DD and why were we bothering when we had a perfect child. it made me rather All MIL said about the piccie was can you tell yet if it's a boy? My parents on the other hand are over the moon and can't wait for anothe grandbaby.

Sazzles - hjope you are all home snug and dry and the girlies are sleeping still.

Just going to catch up - will be back about tea time

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 25/10/2009 07:22

It shouldn't take you too long Sazz - it was VERY quiet here without you

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 07:40

Popping on for one minute to read. Oops I'm heading back to bed, promise. Toast is already eaten and juice is almost finished.

Seems my habits of getting up with sick ones doesn't click off when nobody is up sick.

YEAH! Nobody is up sick!!!

Lucky sorry you've had a bad night. Maybe there's a nap with your name on it later.

Oops i've done the same thing with the girls toys recently and it's wonderful how they are playing with them like they are brand new.

Sazzles who are you? Ha Ha Just kinding. Glad you are home. You were missed.

SazZaVoom · 25/10/2009 08:48

Phew, think i have made it . Can't reply to everything but very quickly

Lovely, lovely pics oops. Hector looks like he is having fun in there

Hope midisurfer is on the mend and voluntarily taking food. One illness i had as a child i didn't eat for a week, and anyone who knows me knows THAT is unheard of . I ended up on Lucozade Isotonic and Ribena

Well, we had a FANTASTIC time - only 6hrs driving back which was great. I did the first (200 miles/3 hrs) and DH the second. DD1 was an angel and slept all the way, waking briefly for a wee when we swapped drivers. DD2 moaned about every hr but was pretty good. All in bed by 2.30am and slept till 7.10 (old time)

dizz and the dixettes and Mrdizz were AMAZING hosts, nothing too much trouble and both DD's loved them all. Especially being able to watch CBeebies, MammaMia and Strictly, borrowing various Peppa Pig items and eating home cooked muffins. SO much more exciting than being at home . Oh and the star of the break was DizzyDog who suffered many indignations including wearing hairbands without so much as a raised eyebrow. Bless her

We were treated to lovely home cooked meals (ignore Dizzy dissing her cooking) and shown many local sights, including the famous fog and a tour of the cafe, which will be wonderful. DH said he had not met a nicer couple in many years and made him feel so at ease and at home straight away . He is already planning a return visit to spend a day in the fishing museum in Anstruther. Luckily having met MrSazz our hosts will realise that this is absolutely no reflection on their company, rather DH being a funny old sod

Poppy was fabulous with her shopping advice which led me to spending copious amounts of money in Joules which could have been saved with a trip to Millets but nowhere near as much fun. DH declared poppy an intellectual and minipopette as a heartbreaker, so i think they made the grade . Lovely lunch and chat, but as always too short

Right, must go and cook brekker as our lovely neighbours popped in whilst we were away and left us fresh bread and milk and bacon and eggs. Love them

iwascyteenagewerewolf · 25/10/2009 08:55

oops your ILs are clearly nuts eccentric enough to be easily dismissed. Pay them no mind.

Sazz welcome back, glad you all had such a good time. What a tribe of mini girls that must have been, all roaming through the fog sleet Scottish glens

Unbelievably, DS did alright with the clock change - thought it was going to be a nightmare as couldn't keep him later last night due to refusal of afternoon nap, but he slept straight through until 6.30am (new time) by which time we'd both already been awake for half an hour, of course. So we are all up and breakfasted and he has been sitting in the vegetable drawer pelting me with potatoes

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 11:42

Sazzles it does sound like you have a lovely trip.

DD1 slept through and is eating peanut butter toast with OJ...her request. She even stripped the sheets off her bed to be washed without fuss. I think she's DONE with the sickness!

DH just left for the airport.

VintageGaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahdenia · 25/10/2009 11:48

We had a record sleep of 7.15 to 8.15!! Which even when you make the adjustment is a whopper in my book.

Well oops let's be charitable and say your ILs are so dazzled by the wonder that is dd that they cannot think straight...

I think ds2 may have been in telepathic contact wtih Joe as he's been unpacking the kitchen this morning too, except it's a rather sweet set of ramekins that are were quite precious to me which he selected for hurling practice . Exhausted but satisfied by this destruction athleticism he's returned to bed.

Great to hear of happy Scottish hols, sounds wonderful and I wonder would the dizzies consider opening a guesthouse as well as a cafe?? FamilleVG would be booking in right away!

HIGNFY is bound to be repeated endlessly on Dave but I think is repeated on Sun nights, can't find my way round the new BBC site to check.

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 11:57

VG thanks for reminding me. Oops my MIL was vocal in the same way as your ILs. She even tells DD1 that she is the #1, best of all bests, and that Reese will never compare. Makes me so very mad. I know the root with her though. She has a younger sister, that from what I can tell, she always resented, even to this day. I keep my mouth shut because it's worthless to complain. Okay well I don't completely keep my mouth shut...when she does her "you'll always be the better child" bit I ALWAYS say "you're both perfect to me." Thankfully FIL is not like that at all, very loving and involved with both girls with an abundance sincerity.

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 12:00

ROFL my typos are too funny.

VG good job on the sleep through! You obviously did something perfect at bedtime.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:02

Well I also forgot about the clocks this am.
I had turned out Horse and pony, mucked out 2 stables, turnes them down filled 2 lots of water and hay all by 10.00am

Oh well I enjoyed it all anyway. Despite poor DS being over tired and clingy and crying nearly the whole duration.

Dd stayed at home with dh.

oops how wonderful, what a lovely clear pic and love the name too.

sazzles & dizzy so glad you all had a wonderful time.

hotter Lol at falling asleep.

lucki your night sounds as bad a smine, I was up 12.45 -3.45 flitting from dd to ds. No idea what was going on, but I woke up stiff curled in ded with dd at 5.30 and managed to get back in mine. Dh got up with ds and took him downstairs.
I thought I had managed a good lie in till I realised about the clocks while shovelling shite hores poo.
ann so sorry to hear about the fright with ds. I knwo how frightening it is. DD used to do it, and stopped around 14/15 months.
Ds does hold breath and go blue/purple very quickly, but never collasped on me like dd did.
Truly awful to experience. Hope you are all ok now.

Sorry to anyone who I missed, will go back and catch up again, been so hectic lately not had chance.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:05

x post ts I bet I could top you with the typos.

I don't know how you keep your cool with comments like that. I hope she doesn't say it when Reese is old enough to understand.
How hurtful.

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 12:16

If she's still living she probably will say them. She's kinda like that. Whatever! The girls don't have a particular bond with her anyway so it's okay. DD1 doesn't TRUST her so doesn't take her words to heart. DH hasn't ever been in the room when she's said things. I bet the day he is IT won't happen again.

We have very similar typos. LOL!!!

BucketsOfBlood · 25/10/2009 12:34

Wotcha

We've moved into my mum's now. Kurt has learned to climb up the 6' stepladder my dad has left in the study. He (Kurt) just stands at the top for ages, dribbles with pride and sings something that could well be 'Look At Me!' by Geri Halliwell. Can't complain though as after a day at each other's throats trying to clearout our kitchn, me and DH got to go up the pub last night. Had a good old giggle and a make up shag afterwards, huzzah!.

Off to Plymouth with the kids sans mari on Monday. No signs of offers to have Kurt from my folks but that's fair enough. Back Thurs so somebody else will have to deputise my role as smutty sex guru.

So pre-menstrual IT'S NOT FUNNY. Which reminds me I must go boil my mooncup before hols.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:52

Hope you have a good time buckets and the kitchen rufurb isn't too stressful.

Me and dh were meant to be going out last night and looking forward to a good night.
However my stepmum hurt her back at work, and while my younger dbro and dsis (12 and 14) would have done the majority of running around after them I couldn't let them stay.
Suffering with back pain myself I know what it is like.

So instead me and dh had a takeaway and a bottle of wine.

I have just attached a litaf board to new pushchair with help form dd.Like bloody krypton factor!
As I was on one side tightening it she was at the other side with screwdriver untightening.

Will be off to the park when ds wakes up to test it out. DD can't wait.
Think it will be great for pre school run as it is very bad parking where, so I can park in the pub car park and walk up. Don't have to mess about with double then.
Also I have one of them tailgate things on car that have spare tyre on, and you have to open outward before I can open boot upwards.
So I have often had to wait for whoever is behind me to return so I can get in the boot to put pram away.
Very frustrating.

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 12:52

Reese just help flip over my toast and now my Blackberry and my Laptop are covered in crumbs. Not good for either I assume.

Buckets that's cool you and your DH got to reconnect. This is my sex kitten week and DH is boarding a plane for Colorado. I think I'll spend tomorrow trying to line up a sitter for next month.

Would someone please tell Reese I do not need her help here at the laptop.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:53

Just thought I would let you all know that I do relaize I can waffle on about any load of old bollox.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:54

I know i CAN'T SPELL EITHER.

Oh and caps look too, how exciting.

I should go now shouldn't I?

MidnightSlayer · 25/10/2009 12:54

No1 sounds like our DD and Reese are playing from the same playsheet today. LOL!

Suns out. Might just be a good day to go to the zoo.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/10/2009 12:55

I'll get my coat.

Which reminds me hotter that coat you linked to was gorgeous.
