WELL WISHES

Steaky, Reese had a head cold that passed on to me but all I suffered from was the sore throat. I sipped only cold beverages for the duration and that seemed to work nicely. It last (for me) a grand total of three days.

itshotterinhell · 16/10/2009 23:55

Poor DD been sick/diarrhoea three times already tonight I've run out of sheets and running out of PJs. Poor kid, I've had to put a nappy on her to keep the washing down Off to sleep on her floor and hopefully not get splattered in puke. Why didn't I realise this was happening and stop drinking the wine before I got more than half way down the bottle

Hope you all get better nights than this

MidnightSlayer · 17/10/2009 00:12

HP I will be up for a little while longer if you need moral support.

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 06:38

Morning

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 06:57

5 hr drive up here as Dh insisting on stopping so we hit Manchester just before 5pm . DD1's went to bed very well and DD1 has been a diamond all night. DD2 on the other hand, not. Woke at 3.15 and took me an hour to get back to sleep (DH snoring throughout ). Then she woke again at 5.30 so i gave up. Luckily our hostess woke to take the dog out for a wee at 6 so i sneakily asked if i could borrow the pooter

Hotter hope your night quietened down. It's horrid when they are ill and can't do anything to help

ts DD2 sounds like a little poppet sorting all her own needs out . Wish mine would sort her sleeping needs out, ie: lie down, turn over, muzzy in, sleep. Really not that difficult one would have thought

steaky soup sounds yummy . Hope you had a quiter one too

poppy i too have been promised a lie in tomorrow. WHen i asked DH if he would get up this morning, he informed me he had only come to bed at 2.30 am so, No. Bet she sleeps till 7.30 tomorrow

VG hope you had a lovely evening out

no1 wow that was a long sleep from your DC's . What had you done to them?

Re shed deliveries i still have no clue as to why he was delivering in the middle of the night. IHe cam from Nottingham so i guess he was being clever and avoiding the horrific M6 traffic on a Friday afternoon. Unlike us.

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 06:58

Although just realised you probably wouldn't go on the M6 going to Birmingham

Think i need more tea........

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 06:59

Or even Nottingham FFS. Of course you would need it for Birmingham. ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:00

dizzy i am obviously a complete loon atm so keeping manically busy and out of the way might be a sensible plan

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:01

I am getting into this TS styleeeee of posting. Rather fun.

Might even try some hats on

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:03

Does this one suit? Or am i looking a bit Dale Winton tantastic?

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:04

this does look rather rude to me, although more like Scream so i guess quite halloweeny

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:05

Ok, i'll keep this one on and go and get you lovelies some brekker

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 17/10/2009 07:38

Morning Sazz

Just a quick pop on to say hi and hope all littles are well again soon.

DH has his big Titanic sale today so we will be madly busy but am strangely looking forward to the chaos.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 17/10/2009 07:38

TS thanks for the advice and optimism but I couldn't possibly only drink cold drinks for three days - I would quite possibly stop functioning without tea on demand.

I was one of those kids that always had tonsilitis when I was little. So my sore throats are never short affairs. I reassure myself that my tonsils are doing their job so I don't get anything worse.

oops thanks for my gift, tis purty.

Once she was finally asleep a good night from DD. Woke once at around 2 but just needed a cuddle and she went to sleep on my lap. I think it might have been too bunged up and needed to be upright for a bit. IYSWIM.

Woke for the day at 6.30 With both eyes and nose crusted up. nice.
Haven't managed to wrestle the eye drops into her yet.
She is happily posting sutanas through the grill of the vent brick in the wall.

Where's Sazz with the brekker?

SazZaVoom · 17/10/2009 07:44

Here

Sorry, burnt your toast

luckoftheirish · 17/10/2009 08:04

on a good point dh who has been out 4 times this week, came home early from the pub to help!!!!

waves to everyone else xxx

OOOOOOOOOOOpsacoconut · 17/10/2009 08:07

Steaky - tis my pleasure - Sorry I couldn't make it a real one! Did you appreciate the Tena Lady box it arrived in DH thought it was very amusing I on the other hand hadn't noticed until it he mentioned it.

DH just told me work starts an hour later today so DD is watching Timmy time and I am here tidying.

DDD was awake every 20mins from 2.58 to 4.28 so I may be of no use today when it comes to numbers.

Bacon rolls on offer here, and hot fresh from the oven sausage rolls too. is how they are making me feel.

steaknifethroughtheheart · 17/10/2009 08:59

Thanks for the toast saz wotcha Loti. oops yes the packaging did make me laugh.

DD headbutting random things. Drives me potty but doesn't set my teeth on edge as much as when she trys to gnaw the handbasin in the bathroom.

UndeadLentil · 17/10/2009 10:04

DD2 spent ages headbutting a radiator yesterday and laughing hysterically after she discovered that it made a nice angelus bell type sound.

Is dh working today or not? We await the pronouncement ...

I went on strike at one point, P trie for about two minutes, then got back into be grumping. Quite funny as he's always saying he woul cope fine with oing nights blah blah I ' swap with you in a heartbeat crap he spouts.
Oh an I have a sore thumb, because I switche on a light with a little too much temper last night. It's all bruise hope I haven't actually one any amage.
Sorry for other rough nights on here. You have my sympathy but I'm saving all my pity for myself
Oh an Steaky hope Izzy's improving

steaknifethroughtheheart · 17/10/2009 10:43

wini and for you.
Can you get out by yourself for a bit today for a restorative coffee and cake and window shop? I find shopping for windows very restorative. [crap joke emoticon]

steaknifethroughtheheart · 17/10/2009 10:47

I just thought - it is that competitive attitude of dps that bugs in such situations. That they could do it better and put a value judgement on what you are doing and all you want is for them to help.

grrr stoopid boys.
