Extra hour of sleep? Yeah, right! DH and I had grand plans to keep the girls up a bit longer tonight to avoid to early a start tomorrow morning, but after DD1's vomiticious evening she just crashed out, and A was way too grumpy to keep awake any longer.

Salemchocolates · 24/10/2009 22:26

flippin Hope your night is going to be OK without any vomitty incidents. Hope dd1 will feel better after a good sleep.

momi flippin thanks for your messages re my grandmother. She's been a worry ever since she broke her hip 3 years ago. She's really going backwards quickly now though.

Can someone come and put the dcs clock back too?

Right, bed now. I want to enjoy the night as much as possible, lol.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 24/10/2009 22:27

flippin happy anniversary! but sorry to hear you have a poorly one too..

lol at the ebm sneaking muddled

dh & I just had a disagreement on what goes in a christmas stocking he say's it's not normal to put a small toy in it?

Monstermomi · 24/10/2009 22:27

I know flippin. dd1&2 will prob sleep as dd2 was singing well past 8pm. Harper however was asleep by 715 so will be up at 3 or 4 am.

Monstermomi · 24/10/2009 22:30

Fi, we put little things in the christmas stockings like hair elastics, small toys, satsuma, choc lolly.

flippineckitsabitspooky · 24/10/2009 22:33

fi - stockings definitely need small toys/gifts. Satsuma and chocolate would make a very empty stocking, no?

Thanks for vomit-free night wishes, I'm off to bed now. Just checked in on DD1, her temperature seems much better and she's not coughing as much so far.

pulapumpkin · 24/10/2009 22:36

Fi- nothing wrong with putting a small toy in the stocking- I am sure we must have had toys too- and the satsuma was always at the very bottom. Think we had underwear in ours too. Last year i did stockings for DD and DS1 and spent a lot of time looking for little toys that would fit in the stockings.

Monstermomi · 24/10/2009 22:38

pula, I put underwear in dd1's stocking last year .

flippineckitsabitspooky · 24/10/2009 22:39

I really am off now, but had a thought! we used to get a new toothbrush in our stockings too.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 24/10/2009 22:39

glad to hear i'm not abnormal in the xmas stocking content department! we're in for an early am.. ds was asleep by 6.30pm.. G quite a while after.

EtherealFiByTheSea · 24/10/2009 22:41

I sometimes got socks or tights too..

muddleddaizy · 25/10/2009 01:16

We used to get pillowcases when we were young with all sorts of things in

Flippin hope your night is vomit free.

Yup as you can see I'm up and ds2 is playing away on his mat . To be fair he has slept for at least 8 hours!

EtherealFiByTheSea · 25/10/2009 07:09

morning G woke up in the night not hungry thankfully.. but full of snotters.. luckily after use of snot sucker she did drift back to sleep. DS slept well and only woke up an hour ago.. so not too bad. Would have got more sleep though if DH & I hadn't got frisky after i'd dream fed G after 11 last night

EtherealFiByTheSea · 25/10/2009 07:17

muddled i'm sure ds1 was excited just to be near the queen even if she wasn't up close.. what time did you manage to get back to bed? hopefully you weren't up for hours..

HeebieJeebieReeBee · 25/10/2009 08:26

morning

Happy Birthday LadyH Fi, F is also full of DH's cold, poor thing. It's been coming on for a day or two but today all he's done is cough and sneeze, and he looks so puzzled by the whole thing, bless him. We had a good night - 7pm until I woke him at 10.45 and then a quick feed and straight back to bed until 5.15 (old time), then more sleep until 8.15 (old time). Fab - he was up from 11.30pm - 3am on Friday night so I was dreading last night.

flippin happy anniversary for yesterday.

salem your DH's reaction re the clothes made me laugh, sounds exactly like something mine would do if he was in that kind of mood!

went to a first birthday party yesterday which was good fun; nothing planned today except a family outing to Next to swap some jeans for DH.

Oh, I must start packing - don't want to jinx it and start before we exchange though - except there's only going to be a gap of about 4 days between exchange and moving date so I might have to chance it...

HeadlessLadyH · 25/10/2009 08:53

Morning all.

Am 39 today. God I am old.

Been a nice start though. Both boys managed a respectable 7am (on the new time!) start. Have had some lovely presents including some Uggs!!! I did have to point them out to DH so not exactly a surprise but am v pleased with them.

Am off back to bed now for a bit of a lie in and then lunch at a country pub with my mum.

flip hope your DD feeling better.

Fi snort at the snot sucker! I've never seen one. Only heard about them! And shame on you for wasting sleeptime with having nookie!!!

How did everyone do with the clock palava?

pulapumpkin · 25/10/2009 09:08

Happy Birthday LadyH- great news on getting what you wanted . Let me know what you think of the Uggs- never had any but am interested in getting some (as Christmas and my birthday are both coming up).

Well DS2 was up at 6.30 new time and DD/DS1 up at 7.15 new time so pretty good really . Shame DS2 still had a feed in the night but is definitely not feeding as much as he used to.

sausagemonstermash · 25/10/2009 10:59

Bloody clock going back nonsense. M woke up at 4.45 new time.... fed her, settled her, then parents' stupid clock in the hall which starts bonging every 15 minutes from 6am started.... Dad forgot to do it (I'm 'not allowed' to because last time I took it off the wall I 'broke it.' Hmf.

Spoke to dp, who only woke up at 10am new time... 'oooh I had the best nights sleep in ages' ggrrrrrrr

Happy birthday Headless! Wooh re the Uggs!

Re Christmas stockings - how exciting! I always used to get some stamps and a phonecard in my early teens (was at boarding school, clearly pre email and texting days!) ... also a curly wurly for some reason...

Anyone around tomorrow night for a virtual hen night? (Thanks for the reminder salem!)Wearing of cosy slippers a must - can't lose shoes again!

FrightNightFebes · 25/10/2009 13:09

Howdy everyone,

Happy Birthday Headless!! I love Uggs.

I would love to come to your virtual hen night Sausage. This time next week you will be a married laydee..

We are having a nice Sunday. R slept pretty well last night. Went straight to sleep at 7 and then fed 10.30pm, 2.30am, 4.30am and 7.30am (old time) so that is quite good for him.

We went to a car boot this morning and got some birthday pressies for DD who is 2 in a month and christmas presents. We got a hobby horse, little tools set, little people plane and characters, a kite/glider thing that DH wanted and a framed print of teddybears for the Dcs bedroom. All for about 10pounds. I think thats the DCs present all got now. I'll get practical things for stockings like wipes, toothpaste and toothbrushes, knickers, socks stuff like that.

Hope you are all having happy sundays.

I read on FB the Emmabemma DH has left . I hope she is ok .

Monstermomi · 25/10/2009 14:42

Happy Birthday headlessH! i think Uggs are great too and wear mine constantly. got mine for christmas last year and also had to point out to dh. pula, get a pair!

febes, thanks for update on emmabemma. that is very sad and I hope she's ok. on another subject, well done on the pressies. i really should do similar so I don't have to worry about shopping right before christmas.

sausage, i'll try to be around for tomorrow's hen night .

well we had a bad sleep last night with dd1, who's coming down with cold, waking about 3x. H woke up at 3.30 new time and then didn't want to go back to sleep. I put her in the spare room about 6am where she fussed for about an hour before I acknowledged her again. I know that sounds mean to let her fuss for so long but I couldn't figure out what she wanted and was so desperately tired. and when I brought her back in bed at 7am, she wasn't desperately hungry so not sure what the crying/fussing is for but i suspect teething.

Harper also seems to be losing interest in feeding though she's not eating Real Food yet. She did eat (well, suck) a fair amount of a banana today and i'm going to try her on carrot later.

hope all are well today and those LOs with a cold aren't too miserable.

Monstermomi · 25/10/2009 14:43

ree, good luck with packing!

FrightNightFebes · 25/10/2009 14:50

Momi I think its fine to leave LOs if they aren't properly crying. Thats what I've been doing at night with R to try and cut down the night feeds. I go to him so he's knows I'm there when he starts moaning but don't pick him up unless he cries properly. He mainly goes back to sleep within 10-20 mins but if its at 6am then he can moan and wriggle for ages and I usually end up feeding him after about 45 mins. Unfortunately him is in with us so it keeps me awake but I have started putting the pillow over my head which works a bit. .

Monstermomi · 25/10/2009 15:14

yes, Febes, she wasn't properly crying. moaning is a good way to describe it. it's load but not insistent or desperate. it's the sort of cry from which she usually falls asleep but she didn't this time as it went on for an hour.

pulapumpkin · 25/10/2009 15:46

With S we either get full on crying or nothing, there's no in between!

Well I might be absent for a few days from tomorrow as I am going to my mum and dads with DD and DS2 until Weds. DS1 is staying with DH and going to nursery whilst DH works. There just isn't the room to take all 3 DCs with me.

HeebieJeebieReeBee · 25/10/2009 17:41

Hi, am on phone as our computer blew up earlier so need to wait for DH to buy some bits and fix it! Hate doing mn and fb on phone so will be away for a while. Hope all are well x
