hi guys cant do 23rd as charlie's birthday and taking her to a pantomime, to be honest coventry probably a bit much with noah to come to coventry anyway.

Does anyone fancy a london meet too? feb maybe wednesday best for me if anyone else fancies - go on filly you can do it. some of the soft play places like eddie katz have big cafe's - they even sell champagne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LaTrucha · 20/11/2009 20:19

I've been thinking about this and I'm not going to be able to make it. We've got lots of things we have to lay out for in January and I'm not going ot be able to afford it.

Sorry.

Lilyloo · 20/11/2009 20:21

It doesn't have to be Jan as with xmas and birthdays it is expensive.
Can do another date was just one we suggested.
What about later in Feb ?

fillybuster · 20/11/2009 20:45

hey nicky...sorry, forgot to say congrats on baby noah!! how are you finding life with 2 under 2? I can't believe I'm going to have 3 under 5....

a london meetup sounds much more manageable...at the moment I mostly don't work on Wednesdays and am willing to travel as long as I can get back for school pickup at 3.30

gingeme · 20/11/2009 20:56

birthday cake ofcourse.....
I could probably do a London meet easier actualy but would try hard tog et to the other one. Just let me know well in time so DH can book the days off.
Got to make the most of cake before Feb as I'm starting back at SW 1st Feb you see. Got to lose 2 stone before my 40th....

MrsMcJnr · 20/11/2009 23:15

wish i could make the meet up - maybe next year!

simpson · 21/11/2009 19:41

hope everyone having a good weekend

Wewnt to a birthday party of one of J&M's friends today at gymboree which was a big hit and was v good for M's legs to do some climbing etc.

Although had total panic when we were about to leave as I lost M

One minute she was there and the next she was gone!!

Total panic from me as I had visions of her running off into shopping centre etc and it took a good few mins to find her, she was admiring herself in full length mirror in corner of the next room.

Felt quite shaky afterwards

MrsMcJnr · 21/11/2009 23:08

Very scary Simpson - glad you found her!

gingeme · 22/11/2009 09:42

OMG Simpson. Iknow how you feel though. I have had a moment like that with Edward in our local soft play centre.
Oh I didnt tell you that George went for a swim fully clothed in rain water on Friday. There is a small paved area outside Davids class. It has plants and trees the children are growing and it has one of those blue shell shaped paddeling pools which will be used for frogs spawn etc. Anyway one of the Mums bought her brand new baby to school and I was chatting to her and admiring her handy work when I hear a gasp and a cry and another Mum led a soggy crying George to me he was wet and freezing. I hope he learns from his mistake. We'll see!!

nicky6 · 22/11/2009 19:58

ok for those who cant make coventry meet how about a wednesday in feb - is central best? will try to find soft play place if people are up for it.

nicky6 · 22/11/2009 20:02

filly 2 under 18 months was fun a bit better now. Although not got noah through the night yet and charlie cutting all her teeth now so not great through the night.

But keep remembering this too will pass.
Also time with noah seems to be going so quickly i remember the first 4 or 5 months taking a nice long time with charlie this time it seems to be going in a flash.

Noah is HUGE. Both of them are lovely though. FIlly 3 under 5 wowwww. Will be great!!!!!!!!!!!

Lilyloo · 22/11/2009 22:22

Simps glad she was ok , it's such an awful feeling

fillybuster · 23/11/2009 12:17

Simpson - how horrible...moments like that leave you feeling shaky for a long time, don't they?

Had a lovely weekend, lots of hanging out with friends and eating - went to visit some old uni friends in oxford yesterday who have a little boy of 18mo...amazingly its so long since we last got together, we had never met their ds and they hadn't seen Tamara ...where does the time go? Then went to a friends make-your-own sushi party last night...was great, especially because I found some advice on the government food standards website that says sushi is fine to eat when you're pregnant as long as the fish has been frozen first (below 20C), which it has to be in all sushi restaurants by law....hurrah ...

Nicky - a wednesday in feb would be luvverly Sorry I can't do the coventry meet up but I am definitely up for a london one

gingeme · 24/11/2009 11:26

Good morning
How is everyone? All fine I hope.
Not alot happening here realy.
George was cuddling all the dollies at playgroup this morning and saying 'ah bebby'
Well thats about it.

LaTrucha · 24/11/2009 14:01

Sweet Gingeme!

All's well here, though I'm finding each day a bit of a struggle. More nauseous now, but still far better than last time. Really tired.

What do you guys think about the Swine Flu vaccine? Are you going to give it to LOs when offered? We may already have had it but it is impossible to be sure as they need to do a test to confirm it when you 'have' it.

I am for vaccinations, but I can't seem to feel very positive about it. Other vaccines have been widely checked and I feel I can accept the rick but this one seems a different matter.

fillybuster · 24/11/2009 14:06

Gingeme - maybe time for another one then?

LaT - I'm really not sure about it...like you, I've been totally fine with the other imms but there's so much confusion around the sf vaccine that I'm holding back - going to wait until I'm past the 12 weeks nark myself and prob won't get it for the los at the moment...

madmouse · 24/11/2009 15:26

I would not feel Nathan needs sf vaccine but we have high risk people around us - the older people in our church and a very close friend who is Nathan's favourite uncle - always playing wild games with him - has barely controlled asthma so I would worry he would get it from Nathan and land in hospital.

So I am undecided for now!!!

Hi all - had a stressful day with H yesterday, though he is better today he is still struggling with a sore throat (we think) - on ABs & ventolin as needed. Lots of screaming, not fun.

Re SF - i spoke to the GP & pharmacist yesterday and have decided to get us all done for both. I have dithered for ages now but seeing how a simple sniffle affects H i can't face how bad he could be with full-on flu. And the thought of delaying his surgery is just horrid.
So T, H & I are on the list for SF (waiting to hear when we can get it) & i'm getting the normal flu next week - told to speak to the nurse about the boys, as normal flu doesn't hit kids the same way.

Otherwise, DH bought me my Christmas present early - an iPhone love it though i haven't a clue about it yet, hoping my bro can give me lessons this weekend - my parents coming & bro + his gf will come out for dinner or something.

Um other things; i could try for a London meetup much more easily, LaT - glad you aren't as bad as last time, i found the early tiredness was immense, would cuddle T on the sofa and watch tv and fall asleep!
T dropped his nap about 24months, and I use to grab whatever sleep i could in their over-lapping naps
Simps - hope you've recovered, scary stuff.

fillybuster · 24/11/2009 18:19

fillybuster · 24/11/2009 18:51

Madmouse - I have CATed you - FB is too complicated

Lilyloo · 24/11/2009 20:30

Evening all , JKS sorry to hear about H illness. You right to take any steps to minimise postponement of surgery though. Not long till your xmas now Nice early pressie
I am thinking of getting the sf jab too after our neighbour had sf very very nasty. He couldn't leave his bed for 5 days.
Gingeme bless him are you getting him one for xmas ?
Filly when you see lo's it makes you realise how time flies.
Nothing much happening here. Got my hamster delivery yesterday
Am almost done with kids pressies now and half adults.
Xmas trees in our local garden centre now too. Will be going this weekend i think for the dc's to choose their annual xmas decoration. Think M will choose a dog if they have any. She is mad about them. Currently has a bag with 9/10 soft toy dogs in she drags everywhere with her

gingeme · 25/11/2009 09:45

Get him a what Lillyloo? A 'bebby' or a dolly? because theres no chance of the first one .
George did a smelly nappy this morning and I said 'lets change your bum'. He went in to the bathroom saying 'bum bum' and lifted the toilet
How is H JKS ? An iphone eh? DH has one and sometimes I hate it and sometimes I love it. I call it his mistress but you can get hundreds of apps for it for the boys. The first thing George does in the morning is turn it on and sits at the end of the bed playing it
We were talking about the sf jab at playgroup yesterday. Alot of mixed emotions realy. I don't think well be getting it. My Dad went for his flu jab last week and they offered him it and he had it.
I'm off for my new tattoo soon, yes I know I'm addicted! My sister was supposed to be coming with me to get one but had a meeting at work. I'll go with her when shes ready.
Right better get some more washing on.
xxxx

Lilyloo · 25/11/2009 20:04

Ginge a doll , am of the same mindset as you now. Bebbys will only be made of plastic in this house from now on or will be visiting
