Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsMcJnr · 25/11/2009 21:54

Hey ladies I?ve had Xavier?s curls cut off he looks like a real boy now ? sob! This week he has also tried to get his chubby little toes into a match box car learnt to say ?yes? (a big improvement on ?no?) and ?bye? and has decided that he adores soup. Aren?t these toddlers funny and adorable and frustrating and exasperating all at once??

Gingeme ? poor George all wet sweet talking How is the new bed? I would die for a king size at the mo, I have to keep bringing DD in with us and I wake up feeling like I have slept on knives edge. What?s the new tattoo?

Nicky6 ? I have 15 ½ months between mine and I think it is getting harder I was so pleasantly surprised at how easy the first few months were but DD doesn?t sleep through (understatement, most nights I am up every hour from 12-7) plus is has become very clingy and whiney during the day, all she wants is to be held. Poor little thing has suffered already with teeth (she has the bottom two now) and colds but it is exhausting and I feel bad for poor Xavier as I am always having to rush him to get back to her and my patience is very shirt these days. I know what you mean about time going so fast the second time round.

Filly ? I ate sushi whilst pregnant, how are you feeling? Any thoughts on sex?

LaT ? I wouldn?t want to have that vaccine I have to say. Glad the sickness isn?t too bad.

JKS ? ?overlapping naps? strikes me as an urban myth, like ?left over wine? hope H is feeling much better.

Lilyloo ? I remember your lovely Christmas decoration tradition, it?s so lovely

fillybuster · 26/11/2009 12:00

MrsMc - it will get easier, at some point, but sorry its all so full on at the moment. You are definitely not alone - quite a few of my friends have 2 about 12 months apart and it is utterly shattering but lovely when they get to 2/3 and play together for hours on end :

Sushi - all good!! At the hospital mw appointment this week she gave me some 'food advice' which confirmed that sushi is fine and peanuts are now ok again (as if I had ever stopped!)

Any thoughts on sex? Well, mostly "no thank you, I'm far too tired"

Oh, you mean gender! I suspect another boy, as I've mostly felt fine, just nauseous and tired this time (like with ds), whereas with Tamara I was 'proper sick'.

I bet Xavier looks lovely with his haircut, but I do remember crying when I cut off ds's golden curls...so I feel your pain

LaTrucha · 26/11/2009 14:00

Just popping in to say hello. Not much to say, just dragging myslef through days and trying to keep Sabela smiling. It's the most I can do!

I am reading and keeping up!

Still no word from the midwife. I think I'll ring on Monday as it's been two weeks since I was referred. Do you think that's reasonable?

LaTrucha · 26/11/2009 14:08

Couple of new pictures of S on profile (underneath pics of nappies I'm trying to flog!)

gingeme · 26/11/2009 16:43

Afternoon ladies.
Yes MrsMcJnr it does get easier with time. Thats a promise
JKS how is H doing?
LOL filly you do realise thats an old wives tale don't you about sickness and the sex? To have one of each though would be fantastic. Fingers crossed.
Hope everyone else is ok.
I had 2 tattos done in the end. Well a new one and more added to an old one. The new one is a tribal scorpio , my star sign, its black and pink. Not your traditional solid scorpio iyswim? I'll put pics on when its healed. The other one is butterflies. I have one with my two older boys names on encircled in tulips and it now has 3 butterflies. Hard to explain realy but very pretty and sore
The new bed is a ok thanks. Its been christened too now
Anyway enough babble from me time to make some dinner. Toad in the hole tonight

madmouse · 26/11/2009 16:45

LaT she is even prettier than when I last saw her

JustKeepSparkling · 26/11/2009 19:53

Evening all

H is ok-ish. For him, v unsettled and not sleeping well at all during the day. Could try and convince myself that he needs sleep less but it isn't true. He is nodding so much and it see,s to be disturbing his sleep/ And his left hand is bothering him so much that he cried about it Can only keep telling him & myself that it's not too much longer....i hope.

Filly - have you found me yet on FB?

Lilyloo - i know i heart my new phone! even if i can't use most of it yet! Have fun choosing the decs this weekend. when did you start the tradition?

MrsMc - PMSL about the urban myth!! it did happen but for shorter & shorter times and not for very long!

LaT - love the new photos Must try and get some new ones on here sometime. I would ring yes, you want to make sure they haven't forgotten about you!

Gingeme - ouch! look forward to seeing the pics.

Um, otherwise, my parents arriving tonight until Sun. they are meant to be helping but we'll see
Dh got tomorrow off too so hopefully we;ll have some fun time.
I'm just a bit worn down and fed up at the mo so not up to posting much.

Lilyloo · 26/11/2009 20:22

LaT gorgeous are you feeling worse now ?

MrsMc bet seeing his curls go was i am still lucky enough that H (nearly 8) will still let me dictate his hair cut , he really wants a no2 all over

Filly , ah i had the same idea about gender too. Exactly the same reasons as you. I was 100% certain M was a boy , i veen asked dp to repeat himself what i had had when she was born!

JKS what is wrong with his hand I really hope that H sees some real improvement after his surgery for you all.
The decoration thing started when H was about 2. LOL after i realised my all co ordinating life was going down the toilet. Our garden centre has a huge room full of little decorations in baskets. H chose a big soldier (not in the coordinating colours of my tree) i couldn't persuade him to get a gold snowflake and so it began.
We have a lovely pink maribou bird that L chose when she was 3
Actually love getting them out and bringing back a memory.

Lilyloo · 26/11/2009 20:23

Oh and Ginge eek at the tattoos , i am way to soft. Having my ears pierced was painful enough!

LaTrucha · 26/11/2009 20:36

Do you think it's possible Sabela understands I'm having a baby? We have told her but I really thought she wouldn't have a clue. Tonight, DH asked her where the baby was (meaning her doll) and she came to where I was lying on the sofa and lifted my t'shirt up, kissed my tummy and said 'hola'!

And then she looked down my tracky bottoms to see if she could see it

MrsMcJnr · 26/11/2009 21:46

Filly ? LOL I wondered if you?d rise to the bait on the sex front if I had another and felt how you describe I?d think it was a boy too, I was so ill, so spotty and so greasy with Aaliyah! Thanks for your kind words; I know thinks will get easier once I get some sleep. That said, I have lost my voice now after yet another bad night.

Gingeme ? you are brave having those tattoos, ouch!

Hi Madmouse

JKS ? poor, poor H and you, it must be so hard to watch him upset roll on that surgery. Have fun with the family

Lilyloo ? I was so worried when I had Aaliyah?s ears pierced last month but she didn?t even flinch, I still remember having mine done at 12!

LaT ? Xavier did a very similar thing when I was pregnant with Aaliyah, I think they definitely know Sabela is looking so cute!

Took Xavier to a new toddler group today, he kept trying to escape but did enjoy the painting and singing we did

simpson · 26/11/2009 21:47

LaT - yes I think they understand baby in tummy but they don't realise it will come out at some point!!

J was the same and used to lift my top up to kiss baby

But was still most shocked when M born iyswim

fillybuster · 27/11/2009 10:50

LaT - very cute pics I will have to stick some of mine on here at some point....I've been very slack about that! I'm sure Sabela does understand about the baby - Tamara is also saying "hello" to the baby in my tummy (she's the only one I've told as her speech is so inchoherent that she couldn't give the game away!) and kissing my tummy - and she sticks her finger in my belly button (eeww!) to try to wave at it! Ari definitely 'got it' by the time Tamara was born, and wasn't at all surprised that we had a real baby at the end of the whole thing, but I don't get the feeling Tamara is quite as clued up about it yet...

MrsMc - I couldn't resist!

Lilyloo - I'm definitely planning to find out at the 20 week scan; dh keeps saying "you don't know for sure its a boy" but I pretty much do - but you could be right!

JKS - Madmouse has sent me your details so I will facebook you (and her!) later on. Will def be around 18th Dec onwards so can come in and visit (and bring chocs, toys and pizza) whenever is convenient - its hardly a long way

The nice thing is having 'one of each' already, so I really don't care what flavour it is this time (although girls do seem to be naughtier....or is that just second children????)

Gingeme - you are so brave ...I'm with Lilyloo on the pain thing Looking forward to seeing the pics!

MrsMcJnr · 27/11/2009 19:37

Filly - do you remember my name? I'd like to be your friend on FB too If I have another baby I won't find out what I am having as have one of each anyway but that is really hard here, everyone finds out and I even had a scan photo of Aaliyahs "bits"

gingeme · 29/11/2009 09:21

Hi everyone, Naetha had her baby - girl Keira Seren

Simps - hope you have a fab time without the DC!!

(planning to send mine to PIL as soon as H is up to it!)

Hope everyone else is doing OK?
We are fine, just pootling along...

MrsMcJnr · 30/11/2009 07:47

Simpson - sounds like bliss!

Many congrats to Neatha - what a lovely name!

How much about Christmas do you think our little ones will take in this year?

fillybuster · 30/11/2009 16:53

Just popping in to wave 'hello'...absolutely shattered and brain like a sieve at the moment (yes, yes, even worse than usual before you lot say anything )...

Had a lovely weekend though, and tooks the dcs to 3 museums yesterday to avoid the rain: natural history (to see the dinosaurs), V&A (basically for lunch cos its the nicest cafe! - which did remind me of meeting up with all of you lovely ladies there!) and the Science Museum. We took Tamara's little dolly buggy & doll with and she walked the entire day....and screamed blue murder on the occasions we had to pick her up/put her in her buggy for minute . So even though she still isn't walking on her own, I'm a lot happier cos I know you can't actually lean on those things without them tipping over - so now she just needs to get more confident

fillybuster · 30/11/2009 16:54

Oops - congrats to Naetha, of course....lovely news

Lilyloo · 30/11/2009 17:59

Congrats to Naetha

Simps bet it has been quiet. Am shocked M remembered her dad it has been quite a while since she has seen him hasn't it! Hope he realises how much he has missed with them and is a bit more reliable in future !

MrsMc i think they will take an awful lot in this year. I am really looking forward to this one as H still believes and M has an inkling of something. Have got 3 advent calendars sat on the cupboard all ready for tom!

LaTrucha · 30/11/2009 18:41

Congratulations Naetha!

Feeling better in the last few days, and had a lovely weekend snoozing while DH did the shopping and looked after Sabela. TBH, she is so crazy about her DAddy right now, when he's there, I don't get a look in. Quite alright by me!

Simpson - hope you enjoyed your time alone

Filly - glad you had a lovely time. Tamara's buggy pushing sounds very positive.

JKS - Glad you're having a calm time. How are the Christmas plans coming on?

Lily - how are the hamsters?

MrsMc - She knows where the presents are hidden

Madmouse - are you going to get the game?

JustKeepSparkling · 30/11/2009 19:28

Hi all

LaT - all coming together, the advent calendar going down a treat with T! H obv not bothered and sadly it has yuk chocolate in so i don't even want to help him out!!
(DH bought them, a nice cadbury one for T, a yukky ITNG 'bonbon' one for H - didn't think that through!)

Christmas Eve = 13th Dec, the whole food out for FC & his reindeer (T worrying that we must remember to take the fireguard off, lol!).
Christmas Day = 14th Dec, all pressies & turkey + trimmings, etc.

15th, DH, H & I to London to be ready for 7.30am on the 16th sign-in at Gosh.

PIL staying with T until he finishes pre-sch, then taking him to theirs for a week of total spoiling.

they bring him to Ldn and hand him over to my parents (as they are going on holiday), my parents come back here with him (& my brother who's drafted in to help!) until we get discharged.
Plan A anyway.....

LaTrucha · 30/11/2009 20:44

Sounds good JKS. You're a lady with a plan!
