Glad it's over indeed - weird idea H without temporal lobe but he's probably better off without it - hoping you will all get some rest now - or maybe should hope that H is very very awake all night?

Afternoon all.
Just a quick question if you are having Christmas at home do you dress for dinner? I bought the boys nice pale blue shirts and dark blue trousers especialy and a new sparklt top for me. DH said 'oh Ill just wear my jeans as usual' so I got a bit cross with him. Then I thought actualy hes probably right.........

Hi all...

Baked some cookies for the first time in my life today... nad the kids "helped".

Gingeme - we dont dress for dinner. I mean we wear clothes but normally just casual.

Everyone enjoy tomorrow.

JKS - thinking of you all and looking forward to an update from filly.

Good news about H. I hope everything is going smoothly today.

We made it! The journey was absolutely fine, although Sabela was vomiting in the night. She seems ok again now but I had to give her one of the last three Christmas presents that I actually brought with us (a pair of Hello Kitty PJs) because she'd 'got' both the others and then DH came downsatirs with another one because she'd found it in the cupboard!

Happy Christmas everyone!

Wishing you all well, JKS family.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone

Filly - thanks so much!! The breakfast-in-a-loaf going down a storm with us all (the brownies too of course ), H has had most of the fruit and DH & I tucked into the carrots and dip with our salad dinners - v healthy (+ half a can of G&T each to toast the season!!)

Well H has been SF since the op!!!
(well Dh thinks he saw 1 absence yesterday but I'm not counting that as I have seen no evidence of anything else)

He's also been awake since 2am this morning, has only just settled down ready for sleep....am now starting to panic about what the future holds! am used to him sleeping up to 20hrs out of 24, eek!!

His left hand is still bothering him bigtime but hopefully it will ease. Hopefully being discharged on Sat, can't wait to get home.

Hope everyone having a good evening!

Merry Christmas everyone

Nathan has discovered some new moves he can make and is far more interested in those than in the tree, presents not yet under it though and I think once he sees the hot wheels hidden in some of them that may well win him over!

Bit business as usual here as dh is presiding over midnight communion in a church in the next town and then needs to do the 9am communion here and then there is the 11am service - although he only needs to be present there and it will be lovely to see all our friends. Then lunch with a guest and peace for a bit, dh then leading and preaching again two services the day after boxing day. some days off after that though

Merry Christmas everyone!

No santa here as Sabela was awake ALL night after vomiting again. Just got up and she wolfed pancakes and teacakes which is most unlike her so she must have been starving. Big SMILES on faces and carry on!

Great news JKS and Madmouse - I may just have to try and make that meet up if the bank pays me the money it owes me just to see you LOS - if you can make it, that is.

Thanks RWU. I checked mine specially just now to see how you were!

Merry Christmas everyone

H finally slept and it wasn't such a bad night in the end. He's grumpy today, not surprising really.

PIL & T due in any minute, then my parents & brother later on.

The hosp have given us a pillowcase full for each boy

And some parents who were in last year are going round with presents too, so nice.

(In fact, Filly, they live round your way, know the Lerners?)

Hope everyone has a fab day all round

Well Christmas not entirely according to plan here....

DH arrived home from midnight communion as sick as a cat. Had had to lie down during hte service (in his full robes) as he felt he was going to faint. He managed to consecrate the bread and wine then ran into the vestry to chuck up in the sink

So he was cold sick and miserable when he got home and his colleague had to preach his sermon for him at the 9am and Nathan and I went to the 11am without him (I had to do the prayers - apart from wanting to go anyway of course). We went out with presents for one family of friends and returned with lots of presents for Nathan. We've only unwrapped a few so far and he's so busy with them we ar leaving the rest for a bit. even his big present from us (Thomas train set) is still wrapped. He unwrapped some of his matchbox cars and is now surgically attached to a little red camper van.

So Christmas dinner was intimate affair with Nathan, our retired deaconess and me but - she's always running around after the old the sick and the lonely and troubled in our parish and it was lovely to bless her with some food and pampering.

But very little sleep and tired now...DH got me a lovely book and even got a card and a little present from Nathan - very thoughtful of dh.

Hope you're all having good times.
