I'm beginning to think sales, but then if they're discounted before Christmas they might not be afterwards.

fillybuster · 19/11/2009 15:54

i've just searched the tesco website and couldn't see the cut price dolls house anywhere...i'm beginning to suspect that it didn't really exist, except to generate newspaper coverage, ifswim

Happy birthday Lily Glad you found the hamsters...hope you are now relaxing and having a lovely day

simpson · 19/11/2009 16:01

I bought a toy kitchen for M in Jan sales this yr.

Was £60 reduced to £20 which she will have for her birthday, so will have been in my attic for a whole yr

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 20:18

I'm sorry but I can't remember who said what so I'm gonna reply and hope you find which bit corresponds to who! lol

Great news about getting the hamster!!

I'm afraid Ali not fussy eater but I have noticed that even if she doesn't like something one time she'll sometimes eat it the next.
The way I do it is just give her food, if she doesn't eat it she gets nothing else. Making sure that she always has at least one thing that she does like on there. Eventually she'll eat something cos she's hungry (but not starving cos she's eaten something off her plate)

She's been at mums since last night, going to pick her up tomorrow on the way to puppy class. Am missing her but enjoying the peace.

Hope your all ok.

nicky6 · 19/11/2009 20:21

filly how nice to see you again congratulations - we had number 2 at the end of june a little boy - noah james.

All is well although took a bit of getting used to. if you on facebook you can see some pics of my 2 nicola st louis.

cant remember who asked about potty training - i did charlie at the end of the summer and i changed her straight after she wet herself and said oh dear wet pants better get some clean ones etc and she cottoned on very quickly and would say back to me oh dear get clean pants mummy. we just stayed in the house for 2-3 days and eventually she cracked it. Still the odd accident particularly if out somewhere and over excited. But really good.

Charlie still has nap but sometimes a bit of a battle.
I try to get Noah to slepp then too so i can have 1/2hr kip - much needed at the moment.

Sublime to the ridiculous with teeth here - charlie no teeth til over a year old and until a few weeks ago still only had 6teeth, noah on the other hand at 4.5 months i can see 4or 5 teeth trying to come through.

Went to court yesterday - my mum looked after them both to sort out my case for when i come back from maternity leave - very weird indeed - even charlie (who always sees me in trainers) was commenting on my shiny shoes!!!

Not even thought about presents yet -

anyway off to have dinner hope everyone well

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 20:22

Filly - come in and see us
(you could always bring pizza, lol!)

Lucky - at you having peace, enjoy!

All ok here this evening, H had a better day, well not great but back to his usual standard, yesterday he had so many nods and didn't sleep properly, today back to normal - long naps & a few nods.

Friday morning is my morning to myself, T goes to pre-sch, H goes to bed, I have a long hot bath

Then PIL arrive and takeover, yey.

simpson · 19/11/2009 21:22

JKS - can come bearing choccies if you want, let me know what date best for you...

Can't get on FV

Have had rucks with insurance co today as they are saying my builders quote expensive and also they are expecting me to clear front room of furniture by myself for new carpet to go down

LaT - mt attitude to food is same as Lucky's TBH.

Although have to say M very good. I call her my mini hoover as she hoovers up food. I love the look of delight on her face when given dinner but TBH probably due to her not getting enough fats/calcuim in diet due to intolerances iyswim.

J on the other hand very fussy and I have a battle to even keep things on his plate he does not like (funnily enough peas too ) let alone eating them

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 21:27

Ali doesn't like peas either so we have sweetcorn instead. she LOVES corn on the cob best though!

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 21:29

Evening all
I promise no more 'hamster' talk now , am enjoying the birthday wine

simpson · 19/11/2009 21:35

M's fav veg is peas although hard to tell as she likes everything.

Was naughty today and took her to KFC and gave her pop corn chicken and chips and she gave me back the chicken and said "no thanks"

Am sure she knows she is not really allowed to have it

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 21:36

I wish Ali would do that. I've taken her to KFC had the popcorn chick and she steals all the chicken then tell me to put the chips in my "gob" (her new word)

simpson · 19/11/2009 22:02

LOL LOL

M's new word today is her dressing gown which she calls "winter"

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 22:03

Bless little M.

Ok so when are we all gonna meet up again?!
Where?! lol

simpson · 19/11/2009 22:05

do you know ehat was just thinking of posting same thing

We need a 2nd birthday meet up LOL

Ideas??

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 22:07

I'm ok with the same area but really need somewhere with more places to run.
I know aaliyah won't cope with sitting in a restaurant for too long although I do like the idea of nandos again.
Just maybe this time with a soft play or something attached?

I'd suggest coming here but I know it's a LONG way for everyone. There is a brilliantly HUGE soft play.

Will ask A if she wants to come too with K if all agrees?

simpson · 19/11/2009 22:10

would be good to saee her again

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 22:13

I posted a second meet up thread too no further but would like to see all the lo's again!

simpson · 19/11/2009 22:15

would be fab to get everyone together

Lilyloo - I know we promised no more hamster talk but what exactly do they do??

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 22:16

So if we say Coventry again?
Do we want to do it in Jan or after? If you want A to come she's due again in Feb and I'm due in March so Jan would be better.

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 22:17

Jan fine for me
Simps no idea am sure i will find out when they arrive (if they do)

simpson · 19/11/2009 22:18

was just going to ask when she and you due..

Jan good for me

Will get train like last time and will FB mixed mama and see if she wants to come.

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 22:19

ok so we'll start with saying we're gonna do it in Jan.

We should make sure we don't (or try not to) do it on a specific LO's birthday so as not to cause jealousy etc.
Everyone ok for a weekday or do you all need to be in work?

LuckySalem · 19/11/2009 22:19

I've sent a msg out to all the members of the FB grp

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 22:20

May just have to check with JKS regarding H treatment ?

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 22:21

weekday no good for me as H and L in school , sorry
