Lilyloo - happy birthday for today

gingeme · 19/11/2009 09:22

Happy birthday Lillyloo
Just a quick question did any of you use a tens machine during your labour? If so did it make any difference?
My DH has bought himself a tens machine for his scyatica (sp) and says it is realy helping but I have had very painful shoulders, fore arms and wrists the past few days and tried the machine last night for half hour and seem to ache more today I realise it will probably take a few more turns.
Off to get my roots done soon. Will pop by later xx

Happy Birthday Lilyloo

Feeling a bit better this morning, though haven't sat T down for stern chat about books yet.

H seemed a bit brighter this morning, yesterday was not a good day for him, so we are wondering if coming off one of the drugs was a bad idea, have to give it today & tomorrow and see.

Off to farm....

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 10:49

Thanks all

Even bigger i just managed to get two hamsters off character online
Will give one to M for being so patient for the last two days whilst i have been trying to get one Although she thinks it's a rabbit!!!

Thanks to everyone for looking and especially MM for offering to go to store for me

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 11:37

Yey well done Lilyloo!!

Been mega-organised, made birthday cards through December & Jan, so next card I need to make is H's

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 13:33

Simpson - just a quickie. Were you happy with that dolls house from Studio 24?

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 13:35

LaT would definately reccomend dolls house, M has played with L's a lot this week.
L seems to tidy it and then M destroys it

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 13:38

Have you got that one? It's so cheap I can't believe it's as good as it looks.

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 13:42

No we have this

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 13:51

Oh wow. That's good too.

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 13:53

They both look fab, some of the prices i've seen for houses are mad.
T would so love one but i have resisted so far (not sure DH would be so keen on the idea!!), he has lots of happyland stuff with people & the house from that.
I would go for either of those, thought the Studio24 does sound too good to be true, doesn't it?!

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 13:56

In fact, if you have a ToysRUs near you that one looks better, more furniture, Lily - did you get all that's in the photo?
Love the little extras like the mop, etc

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 14:09

I get a bit freaked out buy the magnet thing. What do you think?

The detail in the Toys R Us is Fab

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 14:10

Where are the magnets though?

Is there just one on the front door? There are some small bits that you might want to put aside for a while I guess, but i can't clearly understand where the magnets might be.

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 14:10

Sabela dressed up in a white fairy costume at playgroup today. I didn't think I was into that sort of thing but it was adorable. She kept stroking the skirt, as if to say, 'how beautiful it is!'

Ahhhhhh

simpson · 19/11/2009 14:16

LaT - dolls house now out of stock so you won't get one for Xmas

Mine not arrived yet, new delivery date is 1st Dec.

Is going in toyshop attic anyway for next yr. Just thought it was too good a bargain to resist

Lilyloo - fab news on hampsters!!

Went Xmas shopping earlier and on way back from shops M said "hair drink" and proceeded to pour entire contents of drinking beaker (not non spill obv.) over her head

JKS - let me know if you want any company while H is in GOSH. My mum will have Dcs and can sit with you for a bit if you are alone

Gingeme - can't help on the tens sorry.

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 14:17

yeah got 100 pieces of furniture , M was actually mopping this am
We got it delivered i think.

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 14:19

The magnets are in the door but they are flush fitting in the door so doubt they could get them out or they would need some tools to do so.

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 14:22

Hmm - it said it was in stock. I was going to give it to S when the new baby comes. What do you think fo that. Or do you think an all-singing-all-dancing baby doll would be better?

Good to know that about the magnets. Did you get it half price? I'm wondering how long the offer will last.

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2009 14:28

I wouldn't worry about the magnets if just in the door then.

Does S like babies generally? then a baby of her own might be a good idea. But at that price might be worth getting and storing for the future anyway (if you could make yourself wait ).

Lilyloo · 19/11/2009 14:30

LaT it was half price when we got it for xmas last year

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 14:30

She adores babies. She's got a very cheap doll and she loves it.

She always points at babies at mum and baby groups as if to say, 'Can I touch it? Is it real? Will it break?' which bodes well...

simpson · 19/11/2009 14:36

LaT - yes got it half price.

If you want it for when new LO arrives then go for it, just was worried you would order it for Christmas and not get it iyswim.

TBH studio24 are a bit naughty as I think they are taking orders for things they don't have yet

Got letter from them yesterday saying they are out of stock and expecting new shipment of them on 25th so will get mine by 1st Dec.

Argos do a cheap dolls house too in their chad valley range I think.

I just like the fact you can personalise this one iyswim.

M also got v cheap doll and is obsessed with babies and buggies and pretending to feed baby or give bottle.

LaTrucha · 19/11/2009 14:40

Ah I see. Naughty studio24.

AM very attracted to Toy Rus one though somehow £50 seems much less affordable than £40. at my accounting skills.

fillybuster · 19/11/2009 15:28

Apparently Tesco have a half price dolls house (down to £35) as one of their 'loss leaders' for xmas...has anyone seen that? I was thinking of getting Tamara a dolls house for chanukah but might wait until her birthday as its quite a big present (and chanukah has smaller pressies than xmas!)....reckon its worth waiting for the sales?

JKS - also happy to offer company whilst H in GOSH - we're very close Fancy meeting up for a pizza, or I could come in to see you?
