Lily - Out of stock in our local Argos too. Sorry.
Simpson - How's M today? V. Funny about physio.
We often do a tidy up before bed, but I'm not totally consistent about it. She's a very helpful little thing anyway and has spent the morning trying to carry a bale of bath towels upstairs for me . She'll usually lend a hand if I'm putting one thing away in order to get another thing out, like blocks into the box etc.
Just found an ace thing of you want to get on with some cooking. Put a kilo of rice in a washing up bowl - on a mat if you have one to help with tidying up after. Add toy cars, spoons, saucepans etc and bingo! One happy toddler. I made soup and got a phone call to a friend in while she was busy.
Thankfully, not feeling so terrible today. I'm really delighted that it looks like it won't be every day that's awful. I'm even going to a group this afternoon, thanks to a frined giving me a lift.
Going to go and get anap in now though...
Oh! Anyone else got a fussy eater? I'm trying to get Sabela more comfortable with trying new things. I've beeen doing what everyone says you should do. Eg. putting a little of the new food - it's been peas fo rthe last couple of days - on her table, leaving her to help herself and making no comment whether she tries them or not (She doesn't). Also doing things like making shepherd's pie and giving her the potato which she likes but won't eat if it has any of the meat underneath attached.
I'm following all the rules to not stress her out but she is getting totally stressed about it. She cried today when she saw the peas so this is obviously not the approach to take with her.
Any tips?
What she will eat is
pasta with pesto
rice/ risotto with disgused veg in it
cheese
sweetcorn
tomato
potato
various kinds of vegetable soup
pear
apple
banana
salmon with pesto
yoghurt
Sometimes she'll eat melon, chicken and fishfingers.
Shall I just stop worrying and keep on recycling these?
