missj such a sad but gorgoues post. Glad you got through the day and clearly Nye was communicating with his mamie in his own way.
News my heart goes out to you. What an awful situation and you must dread the mornings. I can only say as a teacher I would do everything in my power to stop a child feeling like that and if you think her teacher is not then go above her. But I do agree that things can be really manic at the start and the end of the day and def try to get a time to speak to her on your own.
Ds1 starts pre school on Thursday. Only 2 mornings a week but I am in bits thinking about it as it has the word school in it. Pathetic I know as he is only 2 and of course it's not 'school'. Also going on a hen weekend early Friday so mum and dad are taking the boys thursday night and I won't see them until Sunday . I am so looking forward to the hen as it is with some of my bestest friends in the whole world but I feel sick at the thought of leaving the boys for so longer. I have never even left ds1 for that long, never mind S. They will be with dh sat and sun so I know I should be ok about it but what if S misses me and doesn't know where I am?
Dog periods are the worst ever. Almost worth getting preggers again just to get rid.
Moose your posts scare me as I am in denial about my boys growing up. Hope they ssettle into the routine soon.
Sparkle thats the name I was thinking of! Great outfit. Always find Zara a good bet for grown up posh outfits that won't break the bank.
Right off to try on my cheerleader outfit for the weekend. It was clearly made for an 8 year old. Oh just want to big up my parents. Not only did they look after my boys today but cooked a roast dinner for when dh and I got home from work. Legends.

EachPeachPearMum · 22/09/2009 21:42

Lie-in Lenni? Ha ha ha ha ha ha

DD was up at 5am today unheard of! She then had a huge nosebleed as we got to school... which stopped as suddenly as it started... all v odd.

Gumps.... you are making me salivate with your roast dinner...

gumps yey for your parents, that's amazingly thoughtful! Your hen weekend sounds like great fun - I miss those girly nights out I used to have with my friends - have fun and try not to think of your boys; easier said than done I am sure.... I haven't been away from N for more than about 6 hours yet! Not even at night ... good luck with cheerleader outfit !

Lenni good luck with the show, and great news with the nursery.

dog course sounds good, especially the creche part!

lol at you lot cyber-synchronising... still no periods here, but still bf nearly every 3 hrs of the whole bloody day and night. N does eat a bit of food but much prefers booby ... he was great today and I am really enjoying his company.

MM tell snooty mum that research shows babies who face mums do better at all kinds of general things that I can't quite remember the details of.... like baby-carrying too - go dog and lenni! I love carrying N even though he is sooooo heavy and hangs backwards to smile at everyone.

tree wondering how you are and how today went...

EachPeachPearMum · 22/09/2009 21:55

DS woke her up when he woke for a feed... she was too hungry to go back to sleep she claimed!
She came in our bed, and and did drop off for half an hour or so...

EachPeachPearMum · 22/09/2009 21:59

missj... I am feeding every 3 hours, and have had 2 now...

Moose- at other mum... what an odd thing to say! I put dd in the car seat for short trips because it faced me, until she was about 8 or 9 months... she was using it in the car so whyever not? I really missed her when she was the in the main pushchair (pfb alert!) - so I got a rear-facing model this time round!

newspaperdelivery · 22/09/2009 22:22

Pacing the floor so pacing through the thread - today waaaaay better. Tears at lunch time and various others but no hysterics this am. DD2 is very unsettled again [up till 3am....eagain] so must keep walking with her.

Haven't read but hope MissJ is ok.

x

elkiedee · 22/09/2009 22:29

Hi everyone, just did a big thread catch up read.

Dog, sorry your positive parenting course sounds like a bit of a disappointment, hope it gets better.

MissJ, glad funeral went well, though obviously a sad time.

DS1 is back at the CM tomorrow, will be nice to just have Conor to look after but at the same time I'll miss him, wish I'd taken the chance to take D out more too, must do a bit more over the next month.

Just dropping by as I need to crawl back to bed.

Dd and I are full of flu! Don't think its swine flu as temp isn't high enough but feel truly awful, really really bad throat, banging headache, aching arms and legs, sore stiff neck and total exhaustion. Dd is much the same, calpolled up, very clingy and crying lots. Such a pain only being allowed paracetamol while bf, I neeeeed drugs!

Unfortunately dh doesn't have any holiday left and mum is out of action with her back, so I have been on my own with dd all day, still have to try and manage the school run somehow and then have all 3 dcs until 6.30 when dh gets home. He is going to try and arrange something for tomorrow as I have three school runs on a Thursday as ds1 has Judo club after school.

Was supposed to have my abdo scan this afternoon but have had to miss it. Its been rescheduled for 14 October.

Right, am going to try and get my head down again for half an hour before I have to feed dd and crawl to the school.

newspaperdelivery · 23/09/2009 14:41

Oh Moose! wish was local to help. Rest up while you can x

Can't stop but will be back tonight for proper catch up. Organising Christening and a music class ate today.

tinksbiggirlhasstartedschool · 23/09/2009 17:46

oh poor u moose make sure you rest

sounds similair to what me and dh had in july didnt have temp just awful headache, sore throat and felt very tired lasted about 10 days before we felt better

hi news

you are a busy bee

moosemama · 23/09/2009 17:52

Oh no! 10 days, I'll never cope for that long. Really hope this one is shorter lived than that.

Survived the school run and gave the boys the night off from homework and extra time on the computer so that I could lie around whingeing rest.

Dh is due home in half an hour so just hanging on by my fingernails now.

Ohhhhh, yet another dirty nappy to deal with, gotta go. This virus seems to have a nasty nausea and upset stomach element to it.

moose, hope you have been relieved of duty and are lolling about now, however wanly. i am sure it won't be ten days (tink, poor you )

am stupidly tired here, c has finally teethed but it has been a pretty wretched twenty four hours, with much waking. both top front teeth have arrived together, she spent the afternoon howling, but i think the worst is over now, she ate something for the first time in days and is now sleeping

am also feeling foolishly pleased because we were looking at the cat today and i said 'there's the cat' and she said 'at' - whether this is attempting a word or just copying the noise i made, i think it's just cool... and had 7 month check yesterday (only a month late ) and she is still on the fiftieth centile for everything

me, me, me .... sorry, tiredness means almost everything i read has left me immediately.

periods, bah.

tree, hope christening all sorted
missj, funeral sounds like proper tribute

Gumps · 23/09/2009 20:07

Moose poor you and dd. Being ill and on your own is so rubbish. I am feeling a bit poorly too and ds1 sounds very croaky which is sad but very sweet. Let's hope we all wake up right as rain tomorrow. This is not the week to be ill. Just re read your thread and ds1 been pooing like a good un all day so hope we aren't headed to be as bad as you. He starts pre sc hool tomorrow and I am away all weekend. No No No!
Dog love free stuff! You sound like a shopper after my own heart. Not seen a stokke one but love the highcahir so sure the pushchair is faberoo.

Have only got the brain capacity to catch up on the last few pages, so sorry for anyone I've missed.
Moose and mini moose get well soon. Sorry there's not anyone around who can help out at the moment, hope you make a speedy recovery.

News Sorry DD1 is having problems settling in, glad she had a better day today. I really clearly remember being dropped off for school and crying for my mum...and then being completely distracted by what was going at school and having a fine old time in the end. I hope Dd's teacher is a bit more supportive, she's maybe caught up in the start of term hecticness, but she should be able to supply DD with support and you with reassurance. Hope you have a better night with DD2.

Gumps Enjoy your hen weekend and your cheer leader outfit! Sounds like a lot of fun...

MissJ So sorry to hear about your Grandma, I'm glad the funeral went ok, sounds very beautiful.

Stripey Hooray for teeth, J's first one has made it's entrance today. I never even noticed DD had teethed until she bit my finger, but have been very aware of Ds's teething for the last 3 months!

Dog Hooray for your free Stokke! What are you going to spend your bonus fiver on?

Elki Hope Ds has a good day with CM and you enjoy having some 1:1 time with C.

Hello isit and Eppm and everyone else.

Am knackered here, work is crazy. DH is a bit down in the dumps at being a SAHD at the mo, not having much luck finding work that would cover childcare costs at the moment either, so is a bit stuck. We are seriously thinking about upping sticks back to HK next year as the cost of living in London is nuts. Found out today a friend from Hk's DD just died who was around the same age as Lily, so am feeling extra protective of my babies and seriously questioning our lifestyle here,it makes me want to spend as much time as poss with my DCs. I can't imagine how my friends are feeling, am trying to think of something to say to them, can't really offer much support from 2000 miles away.
Right, gotta do some work and then put some more stuff onto ebay...anyone need a set of 7 posh Leff speakers?...

Lenni I hope the show goes well and brings in lots of business
