Lenni, dd is being a nightmare to get to sleep at the moment, similar stuff to Peach, scratching the mattress, rolling around kicking/headbutting the bars etc, anything to keep herself awake.
Edgar, we have this swing and its been worth every penny. When she starts rubbing her eyes in the day I just snuggle her up in there with her favourite cuddly and blanket, switch on the seat vibration and set it swinging and she's usually asleep within a minute. (Its just night times she won't go to sleep at the moment.) The only thing is that she can stop it swinging by transfering all her weight forwards in the seat now, so its costing us a fair bit in batteries these days.
Tree, but you have such beautiful 'things' like the mirror in the picure of H in her longies and the shelving unit and chair in that picture of your room at christmas, its just the sort of stuff I search the net for and drool over.
I know inherited furniture can be a good thing, but in our case we've just ended up with a lot of mismatched styles and woods so there's no flow or scheme in any of the rooms. Actually the nicest stuff we inherited had to be given away when we moved to Lancashire as we went from a Victorian terrace with big rooms and high ceilings to a tiny 3 bed newbuild and we couldn't get them in.
The only room we have with matching furniture is the boys' bedroom and that's because I put my foot down about wanting my boys to have a nice room and went and bought it all from Ikea.
Oh, looking at your profile photos, I just noticed the date of the one of J as a newborn. She is actually only 6 months younger than ds2 (he was born April 2004). Strange, I always feel like my boys are really old compared to everyone else's dcs on this thread.
Dog, hope you are feeling better.
Books, sending unspotty baby vibes your way.
