PatTheHammer · 01/10/2009 21:13

Lo all, still exist but be awol a bit longer I fear. Hope everyone well, moose I see you are still in the plague house, hope its better soon.

Lenni-best of luck with the opening (nearly put 'your opening' then and realised how that would sound).

Something very big has gone down and I am fuming but cannot discuss as yet so I will be back, hopefully tomorrow.

Hi all!

Dog - Both. Everytime. Get Itti's preloved if you can [or use mn discount at nappywardrobe and babybots I think] and get Boden from Ebay. It's indestructable, so I get lots of Boden frrm Ebay and it's good as new. Not current season, but Boden clothes are so Bodenesque that they are still brill and lovable.

Pat - hope its not house related

Hope Moose mansion is improving?

Went to hotel to finalise menu for Christening. We are trying to save soem funds by having 2 course, main and pudding. Is it really tight not to have a starter?
Ordered name plaque thing from icing shop.
Did dd1 birthday party shop. It's saturday and I am so so so nervous. Her first at school. Wibble! What id the other kids and parents think its crap and noone like her?

Hatts has finally poo'd. After 3 days of pellers and conkers - 3 nappies of splodge. WIth the nod from the dietician I replaced all her daytime boob feeds with bottles of water and juice. ANything to get fluids in in huge volumes. We saw the dietician on Fri who has recommended a different formula and loads of fluids. Loads.

I think I will now keep to day time bottles. It looks like eggy donation will begin in 3 weeks or so, so it has to happen. I feel a bit overwhelemd at not feeding her anymore, as she loves it. Torn in many directions as always.

We now have a more hydrolized formula to try - Pepti Junior. Apparently it's £39 for a small tin! So £80 for a regular

So my head is racing as yuo can see - there;s loads of other stuff going on but don't want to be a bugger ranting on and reading nothing

A few here although not much cheaper than new really. Do you need large now?

Am ok about daytime feeds as long as don't think about it. The nights will stop soon too. It will be worth it to get this couple their baby. A small price to pay - Hatts has had a very good innings really. I miss cream and cakes and cheese etc, and I hate bfing bras

Prescription formula thank lord! Can you imagine if we had to buy it? Would bf for ever! It's in the real old tin with a stuck on label. No fancy consumerism there!

If you buy new Boden I guess you can sell on at a very good price!!

moosemama · 01/10/2009 22:35

Don't be lonely my little puppy, we still luv ya, just rather a lot of poo and snot getting in the way of mnetting at the mo! (Thats bleugh, by the way, not envy!)

Great to hear how well dd is doing with her reading, I love listen to my two reading and they love reading to each other as well.

We are not at the stage at having to follow dd round yet. She's only brave enough to pull herself up on the sofa when we are sitting on it or occasionally the dog/baby gate at the moment. That said, she is unbelievably mobile considering she doesn't actually crawl and I do have to retrieve her from under the toy bench or sofa fairly regularly. She is so naughty as well, currently enjoying removing all the cd's from the rack and stealing my slippers at every opportunity!

I am loving Molo clothes at the moment, I am watching a couple of Boden items on ebay, but as you said they always seem to go for ridiculous prices considering they are preloved.

So, we are thinking dh might have swine flu. Here we go again! After a huge row this morning because he refused to take the day off (his company don't pay sick pay) he went in, felt awful and promptly came home again! He has pretty much been in bed ever since. Dd is a bit brighter but horribly snotty and the boys are less snotty but exhausted, irritable and constantly squabbling. I'm not too bad now, most of the virus symptoms have gone, but still have jelly legs and the odd spinning room moments.

Had a few more shopping accidents this afternoon, a couple of denim pinafores on ebay, need some funky tights to go with them now, so will have to buy some oddsocks or trumpettes.

News not tight at all to have 2 courses. I am always way to full after a starter and main and would much rather have a pud than a starter iyswim.

I am sure everyone will have a grand time at dd's birthday, I do understand the nerves though I was the same and that's why we always do days out instead of parties these days.

Good to hear H has pooed. Its good that she'll take water, dd has only just grudgingly started taking it from her cup and enjoys spitting it down her front and spraying it out raspberry stylee rather than actually ingesting it!

Sounds like life is pretty full on for you at the moment. Make sure you are taking proper care of yourself.

moosemama · 01/10/2009 22:38

took so long to type my post that you already found someone to talk to!

newspaperdelivery · 01/10/2009 22:40

OOO yes Dog - forgot to say wll doen your dd!!

Moose - she only takes water from Dr Browns bottles and only then with a good dollop of apple and pear juice!! What can I do? SHe needs the fluid.
She was just getting quiet good with a straaw but has now found blowing through it is more fun than sucking

No crawling, walking or teeth. Lots of pulling up and wanting to walk off though.

Poor you Moose! Thats a lot of sick people. No sick pay for my dh either so it really is the pits isn't it?

newspaperdelivery · 01/10/2009 22:46

SHe is very cute when she blows bubbles through a straw though

I stink, so am off to the shower. I really do need one!

Dog - any good? www.usednappies.co.uk/8614,owner_id,other_items

So tempted!

I think that dress is beautiful. Especially if dd can pull of the boho thing. It's very very cool. What colour?

Hatts is very funny with her backward comando crawling thang, she ends up under the couch with her head sticking out

Yay dd1 reading prowess!

tinkisautumnal · 02/10/2009 09:27

dog - definetly go with boden i luv dd1s bits so gorgeous and worth it

i cant decide where to buy clothes for dd2 a week today. thinking boden, debenhams or mothercare

mm - poor dh what was the name of website that does toadstool trousers etc?!

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 10:01

I have been leering over funky moose website a lot recently. I want just about everything.

DD1's stuff from Cambridge baby arrived today. Her silk/merino tshirt style vest in lush. SHe wore it in bed last night, but still woke up cold. We talked this morning and decided to get her a massive sleeping bag. I think she will fit in the largest size. Now, MerinoBaby go-go bag or regular cotton warm tog one? Hmmm.
She also got merino tights and socks and mittens. I will keep this child warm. I will!!

She has gone off to school with a bag of chocs to hand out after classes. She got a birthday card just as her chin was wobbling in the line up today, so that was great timing. 5 tomorrow!!

Wonder if those nappies were anygood Dog? Good price I thought, though they are never cheap. Sigh.

Glad to hear more spends are planned Tink!

WHat shall my autumn halloween name be?

TerrorTreedelivery? I'm going back to tree I think. I miss it so.

missjackson · 02/10/2009 12:14

Ooh lots of chat. Hope the opening (LOL at 'your opening') is going really well LEnni, have fingers crossed for you. It sounds exciting - photos on fb please!

dog agree with tree that boden stuff great on ebay, or you can resell your new stuff so actual cost only 50% or less - I love my maths! And used ittis sounds great - I bought all mine new but waste of money really, as they are 'used' after the first time iyswim. We are still loving ours at home but haven't tried the blueberry ones that Lenni raves about yet... might order one to see....

tree thank god it's prescription stuff! Don't feel bad at all - you have done brilliantly. Didn't you wonder about starting up again after egg donation? Would you have to take drugs?

I bought a whole load of boden stuff with eppms code a while back, at 12-18 month size - tartan baggies etc - well tried on the trousers this morning and they are a little too long in the leg but very snug around the waist of my little fatty! So we are wearing them now...

Can't really catch up properly as I am supposed to be packing... we are off to a wedding (youngest BIL) in north wales. Should be fun. I got gel nails done yesterday and they are amazing, completely indestructible apparently... so feeling very glam. Also had toes done. Was lovely to escape LO for a couple of hours pampering, but literally felt sick on the drive home because I was so desperate to get back to him.... is this weird? Felt panicky.... he is being ultra cute at the moment and very cuddly. Adore him.

Hope you all have a fun weekend, and hope those who are sick get better soon x

missjackson · 02/10/2009 12:15

ps pat am intrigued, what is going down? Hope you are okay x

moosemama · 02/10/2009 12:25

Tink I think the toadstool trousers were the ones by the designer E J Sikke Lej, if you google that name you might find some, but they are hard to find now as they were last season.

I think the sites I found them on were:

nordic kids
the hedge pig
funky moose
barnyard kids
and I've just discovered peace and jam

Alternatively, there was the little shrimp stuff that a lot of us bought. That had toadstools on. Dd still wears hers and looks stunning in it. They don't do the toadstool stuff anymore but have a new geranium strips and seahorse/nancy range which is nice, but not as lovely.

I bought some of my little shrimp stuff from daisy chain baby and can highly recommend them, the service was excellent and they even packed the clothes in pretty tissue paper inside a free eco calico shopping bag.

Dd is really quite poorly this morning, lots of sneezing, copious amounts of snot and huge yukky snot bubbles (apologies to anyone that is eating whilst reading this). Have just calopolled her up and put her in the swing for a sleep. I think she is sleeping better in there, as it helps her to breathe being more upright.

Still got the whole crew home, dh is now being very 'manflu' about it all. I'm afraid I just had a bit of a strop because he was about to go back to bed, but I keep going dizzy and nearly fainting so don't feel happy about being left alone with the dc's. He has stayed downstairs, but is very grudging about it.

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 12:27

am not clicking on any of those links Moose. Naughty moosey trying to get me to shop.

Poor poor you. What a houseful!

moosemama · 02/10/2009 12:31

Oh yes, sorry for selfish post. Good luck Lenni and Pat what's up, can we help at all? Even if its just lending an ear?

MissJ pampering session sounds lovely and no its not at all weird to miss your LO that much when you are away from him. I'm still like that now, I like the idea of getting away and having a break, then as soon as I get there I want to get back to my babies. Dsil always has gel nails done and she is verrrry glam indeed.

newspaperdelivery · 02/10/2009 12:32

Moose you are never selfish. Ever. You are lovely in fact.

moosemama · 02/10/2009 12:33

News its ok to window shop - just don't press 'checkout'!

Anyway, surely that's the whole point of babies, we have to shop because they keep growing and needing new clothes!

moosemama · 02/10/2009 12:35

Aw shucks, now you've gorn and made me blush!
