rofl at tools of trade.

Oh my......my mum reckons I really need a new puchchair. Then my mum reckons I need table flowers and a photographer at H Christening..........

I'll message you HKZ. Hopefully the price will put an end to my wonderings, as I have about £3 in reality.

Do you know, I so have totally had it with ebay. I have bid on a white company oatmeal cashmere suit for H, that she has in the smaller size and I love it. SHe grew out of it 2 months ago. I was totally winning with a huge margin, then that bloody bidding software must have kicked on for someone and I missed it by a few pence with 5 secs to go.

I really wanted it too

moosemama · 24/09/2009 11:37

Morning

Sparkle stunning dress.

Still feel like poo, dd awake and restless most of the night and am curled up on sofa under my duvet as she will only sleep in her swing with it switched on. She is still in the bedside crib and will be until we can get our arses in gear to get her bedroom decorated.

Have just gone all ranty on an AIBU thread about dogs here. The flu made me do it, honest! Fear I am about to get a proper flaming.

Dog what's up? Am around if you need to offload. You're probably off on the school run now, but I'll check in a little while to see if you are back.

sorry u r still feeling rubbish mm

dog - sorry for worried ye would go back to dr with concerns

stripeywoollenhat · 24/09/2009 19:23

dog, i hope you are feeling less sad and that you are feeling better, moose (not ranty at all about the dogs imo, eminently sensible, so hope you didn't get flamed)

had a lovely day today, it's my birthday so started it with c playing with wrapping paper in bed (it was before seven, but what can you do...?). family round for tea and cake this afternoon and am off out to a swanky restaurant shortly hope you all have nice evenings, will catch up tomorrow
(hopefully without a hangover)

moosemama · 24/09/2009 19:44

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRIPEY!!!!! [GRIN]

Glad you had a nice day. Enjoy your meal out.

Nope, didn't get flamed, actually got pretty much ignored .

Dd is being a total nightmare, she wants to feed, then when she tries she just goes all wriggly, fighting and kicking etc. Not sure if its the flu bug or her top teeth (not 100% sure, but think I saw her top right incisor looking ready to burst through and this is very similar behaviour to when the bottom two cut).

I feel sorry for her, but quite frankly could really do without while I'm feeling so rough myself.

Have eaten some Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream (purely medicinal for my throat you understand) and am now worried in case my stomach plays up from the fat content. God my body is dropping to bits at the moment.

Dog hope you are feeling a bit better about things. Sending very un MN squishy hugs your way. (())

moosemama · 24/09/2009 19:46

Oops! try that again ....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRIPEY!!!

There that's better!

PatTheHammer · 24/09/2009 20:28

Sorry can't catch up. Intensely pissed off and fecked off and everything else.

Exchange of contracts didn't happen at the 11th hour yesterday. Was supposed to happen today and then we got the phone call about completion. Well despite everyone saying next friday apparantly nobody had checked with all 4 parties and it has now been put off till the 22nd
had already booked day off work, arranged childcare stuff and now it will all have to be rearranged!!!!!!!

HZ- So sorry about your friends in HK, I'm sure you will find some words but its so difficult to say anything when news is as terrible as that. People are right though, saying something is better than nothing at all.

Stripey- Happy B'day!!!!!!!!

Anyone got any Gin????

SparkleandShine · 24/09/2009 20:39

happy birthday stripey!

Dog, I don't have any advice BUT you need to be really insistent with the GP to get a referral. My SIL is a GP and sees a huge number of what she refers to as hypochondriacs, her first instinct is always to put off a referral to see if the problem goes away.... she is more likely to refer if you are more persistent.

SHOES

BAG

2nd tooth finally arrived here - we have had one tooth only for about a month!

moosemama · 25/09/2009 09:28

Morning

Whole outfit is gorgeous Sparkle you are going to look one Yummy Mummy!

Still a plague house here, but feeling slightly more with it today. Absolutely have to be better for my nephew's birthday party tomorrow as the boys are really looking forward to it and it might be the last party he has in the UK.

Dog had a thought last night. You mentioned A starting pre-school and of course B has just started school, they are two huge changes in his life. Is there any chance his behaviour changes be down to him needing to comfort himself through the changes. I'm not saying you are wrong, I honestly believe Mums know best, but it might explain the sudden increase in the intensity of behaviours as it could mean that he is just having a bit of trouble adjusting to all the new things going on in his life and it will settle down as he relaxes. He could also feel the need to resort to collecting etc and avoid stressful noisy situations because he can't articulate his worries to you verbally so feels the need to create a safe environment for himself. I know that when I have a lot on my mind I can't stand being in busy noisy places. So it would still relate to him having a problem (ie the speech delay) but may not be a severe problem, which I know is what you are fretting about.

Hope I am making some sense, just wanted to try think around the problem a bit and see if I could offer you any reassurance really. Oh where is Lenni when you need her? She is always so good at this sort of thing.

tinksbiggirlhasstartedschool · 25/09/2009 09:59

morning

wow sparkle what killer dress, shoes and bag
luv a link

poor u mm hope u get well soon

having a great day today

dd1 @ school all day so having a quiet one

missjackson · 25/09/2009 10:15

pat that's too, too awful and frustrating and down right crap! You are so busy at the moment, and you end up paying those solicitors so much, can't they just do their effing job?

sparkle AMAZING dress, nearly went and ordered one for myself there and then.... it would really suit me too. I have a wedding next weekend, and it would be perfect. But already have about 30 dresses that will do, if you know what I mean... so am sitting on my hands. Bank card still not working either, which is probably a good thing.

dog sorry to hear you are about A - I think you are right though to trust your instincts, so if people are brushing you off, you have to persist.... that's good advice from Sparkle re the GP - I guess the whole system would collapse if they referred every case straight away. Could you get DP/ Mum/ good friend to come along with you for support and back up?

tree you MUST auction-snipe, it's the only way to get the things you really want at the right price for you. You just have to be brave and go for the max price you are prepared to pay.

hkz thanks for offer of buggy but feel it would be tempting fate to buy a double before I have actually conceived!

MM I had a dog who had aggression problems with other dogs, so was always having to put him on the lead and then deal with upset owners when he kicked off at their unleashed dog - so totally sympathise. In the end he was killed by another dog (in a fight that he probably started), so however good I thought my dog was, I would NEVER leave them unleashed if another dog was on the lead. So no, YANBU!

Off to swimming now and then hopefully going to try to get out for a ride later before all this beautiful autumnal weather disappears... have a good day all x

tinK sounds like you do some lovely baby stuff - we are starting a music group sort of thing next week on a Thursday which may well be above LO's head, but I am sure I will love it!
