Daisy fingers crossed eh

Ceebee sounds like a lovely day, bet the boys loved it!

Well my washing is done (finally) and now I need to pack it all again and check I can fit everything in the car! Had a panic on yesterday - my travel cot is at my dads and he is in Portugal - oops.
My cousin has saved the day though I was starting to panic - too much time on MN and not enough time thinking - Obs you are right I should not be on here again

Ceebee & Dozy well done on the weight losses, I am getting back into it after I come back from hols! I've been so bad since June

Hope everyone has a good day, it looks like rain here again so looks like we will be stuck inside!

barbareebaa · 04/09/2009 11:16

morning
ooh daisy!! fingers crossed indeed!
thinking along those lines I wonder how phee's doing? how many weeks will she be now? Hope she is well
ladybuzz have a great wknd! loved your pics on fb!
ceebee glad you had a lovely day!
well have laptop today as dh doesn't need it at work - huzah! the boy is asleep on my lap, heating is on - very cosy! would be perfect if i didn't feel so crap about being horrible to dh earlier. gah. i would tell you about it but it's seriously petty and more to do with needing to take my frustration out on something rather than anything dh has done. plah.
got bob weighed and measured yesterday as we have appt to se nutritionist next week and they need to kno. so he is now 24lbs 7 ozs and on the 98th centile for length (can't remember how long) anyway rather chuffed considering his allergies - we are not doing too bad it's 'funny' tho - the hvs always ask what milk he's having and always look/ act suprised when i say bm.
i have a feeling i will be bfing for the next 5 years - seriously. but how will i ever get pg again? and when will i be able to wear a fabulous braziere?
soz for this post hope you are all having lovel days
x

barbareebaa · 04/09/2009 11:19

whatever a lovel day is

Rosa · 04/09/2009 13:54

THey still say Vits over here up to a year even though they encourage a veg and fruit diet . I still give them purely as I can't be bothered to argue and dh says have you put them in etc . Also we give fluoride drops as there is not enough in the water . I stopped them when I was in the Uk as not needed in fact I diddn't realise and I got very strange looks from the chemist.
Minirosa still a nightmare over sleeping in her cot in the day and just rolls over and stands up and screams . The heat and humidity doesn't help either poor thing . Well she is off again catch up soon...One hopes!

PinkyMinxy · 04/09/2009 16:20

hello all

Lacks we went to cornwall it was lovely and sunny... back home again and I had to get all the winter clothes out!

ROsa glad you got home ok but soo with you on the desperate need to do housework.

LB have a fabby time!

ceebee that rip sounds great.

MImi is soo bad with her teeth and frustrated over the crawling that she is chewing the floorboards.

Barbs lol at bfing for 5 years- mind you I have either been pg or bfing for that long, if I think about it!

Yorky, you need to come on the nappy thread and from there sign up for BabyBot's nappy seller's forum

I was wondering about phee as well the other day; I'm sure she is on my FB list, but I can't remember her RL name.

Yorky · 04/09/2009 19:13

Daisy - saw you there earlier, you NEED to get some itti's so you can talk from experience about them

DCs are seriously interrupting my MNing!

yorky hi are your DC going to let you MN tonight
I am pooped it was DD1's 5th birthday today and we had a small party which ended up being 8 kids cooped up in my house as it was pissing down outside, was fine for the first hour but then they all started arguing, but its all peace and quiet now

PinkyMinxy · 04/09/2009 22:10

Lol ellie no that just my appalling typing! I meant the trip sounded good

ellielou02 · 04/09/2009 22:13

hehe I went back and tried to make sense of it but that explains it, it did give me a laugh though.

ellielou02 · 04/09/2009 22:34

daisy can you do a link for me for the baby bots

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 23:29

ah bless poor mimi ; bumble was like that before we went on holiday and would headbut the floor in frustration.. he's been taking it out on alls and shelves now though as he has been trying to heave himself to his feet for the last few days..... and he did it today all by himself

I have been pregnant or BFing for three years now; my body needs a rest!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2009 23:29

that should be walls adnd shelves lol.

ellie, I'll FB you the link, if I can figure it out.

LadyBuzz · 05/09/2009 10:37

Pinky poor mimi bless her I remember DS1 being the same.

Ellie I am off again on monday to Haven for a week with my aunty and the DCs, should keep the boys amused.
Haven't even started packing again yet. Really should not be here

Need to go into town as well to get some more house details- oh the joys of moving!

Bugger must go J is 'helping' me type!

Have a good week end everyone!

Rosa · 05/09/2009 13:51

NOt really yet Ellie might have something to do with the cases still full the huge mess and uncleaned house . MInrosa will not let me move an inch from her even if we are in the same room . I have had to stay in the room when she falls asleep - It could be as she is unsettled but it is draining thank heavens for a good dd1 but we have had to ration the little bit toys as everything is heading mouthwise with madam.
Have a good holiday LAdybuzz have heard weather is better in the Uk now.
Daisy how is the site going ?

londonboots · 05/09/2009 21:07

ARGH!!! just lost about 80oz of frozen EBM due to a wonky freezer plug. i remember dozy mentioning similar happened to her and it made me shudder! now it's happened! won't dwell on it, but very tipping all that milk down the sink!

thanks for the responses re: vitamins. I was skeptical but HV told DP was quite standard and recommended by NHS and so he bought some of the drops from the clinic which were NHS branded. so yes daisy still BF...unless HV thought because DP took him as I was at work I wasn't and that's why she recommeneded...anyway won't worry about it now.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2009 21:18

for the wasted BM londonboots; it's gut wrenching, especially if it takes a mammoth effort to pump it in the first place

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2009 21:27

site is going slowly rosa....but as I'm concentrating on the advisor stuff initially; there's no great rush.

poor bumble has a very sore bottom due to carelss mummy and daddy not realising that he had done a poo (runny poo, dispo and crawling baby meant it went to the front of the nappy so a peek down the back showed a nice clean bum ). When I changed him (about two hours after checking and assuming he had just been doing smelly farts) his wee scrotum and immediate surroundings was red raw and bleeding

we had him at the OOH docs this morning due to nasty rash that started coming up yesterday at lunchtime that looked like an allergic reaction (he had a bit of a snickers type choc bar yesterday morning before his nap and I noticed the rash after he woke up), but the doc said it looked like "pityriasis rosea" and would last at least two weeks, but take him to usual GP for allergy testing to make sure. Well the rash has all but gone now so I suspect it was an allergic reaction after all

chocolategal · 06/09/2009 21:35

Hi
Not been on in a while, hope everyone is well.
Quick update from me.....
Had DS dermatology and kidney appts last week. The dermatologist was really helpful re eczema and reassured us about the egg allergy.
Kidney Scan was much the same so we have the consultant clinic appt in a month or so.

DH has a new job but it is a fair distance away so will have a big commute every day but it was the only way for him to keep the same salary. The job he was offered locally would have meant us selling the house

DS is crawling and getting faster at it by the day!
He sleeps through about 4 nights out of 7, the other nights he wakes up and i give him a bottle to get him back to sleep. I am happy with this just now. HV thinks i am a fool for feeding him when he cant be hungry she says but ive decided it could be a lot worse and to just go with it at the moment.

Right thats it for me, will now catch up with you all x

Tinkerisdead · 06/09/2009 21:54

hi all [waves at old antenatal/postnatal buddies]
Never get time to come on here much anymore but noticed daisy on another thread and she said to say hi.
Hope all the Nov babies are thriving and you are all starting to think of the not too far off 1st birthdays xx

chocolategal · 06/09/2009 22:09

Hey drswife
nice to see you, hope you and your little girl are good

Yorky · 06/09/2009 22:50

Hi Drswife, good to see you again, hope you're having fun

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend

I am knackered as DD did 2 good nights in a row, then returned to her old tricks, including a screaming fit every time we put her back in her cot from 3-5am. And just for the variety DS came and climbed into our bed which he never used to do, I can't honestly remember if she disturbed him or if he just appeared in our room . DH is away tomorrow night so I can't even kick him and roll over!
She is such a velcro baby and has a fit if DH goes to her in the night, but she loves to laugh at him and chat during the day. Its very nice to be wanted but kind of limiting.

Sorry for me post, but you all seem to be very quiet - was it something I said?
And is it me or has vbab been really quiet ever since she got her ADs - does anyone 'see' her on fb? Is she OK?

OP posts:
ellielou02 · 07/09/2009 08:03

drswife nice to "meet" you, isnt it scary how time flies and they are nearly one!

I have seen vbab on fb but not as much as I used to I too hope she is ok, I think Alyssa is keeping her busy from her last post anyway lol.
