Thanks for your good wishes. E is much better this morning after another terrible night. She slept in the sling between 3.30 and 6am. We ended up calling NHS direct at 3am because the children's nurofen didn't bring down her temp and it was 39.3 They were reassuring though. She then slept in bed from 6-8am and seems back to normal now DH and I are shattered but she's full of beans!

I have solved my problem with Millie not drinking juice, dh was spooning juice to her then I tried just giving her the sippy cup without lid and she takes it no bother (after a little persuiasion(sp?)) now so am going to get a doidy cup, was simple really dont know why I didnt think of it before. She has also started to use her legs a bit more trying to stand, think she was just being lazy before, DD1 got her anything she wanted. She also does this very cute thing when sitting on DH knee he pats her tummy and she says ahhhhh but if he stops she grabs his thumb puts his hand to her tummy and says ahhh.
ceebee will you be on before tuesday? If not will be thinking of you and remember the fake tan lol x

I return to work on tues. Ceebee, you would be proud of me. I have sorted my wardrobe and have smart trousers,short skirts and 2 or 3 inch heals , all ready to go.
Infact this morning I am sat in a short skirt with knee high high healed brown boots, just as a trial run. We are only going to sing along this morning!! I feel so sexy and like a woman.

Right going for coffee then lots of jobs, not enjoying working 4 days a week today is my ony day.

Daisy no dancing on Friday just lots of laughing!, we had a mega busy weekend with DD1's birthday, took her and 5 friends bowling yesterday. Me and DH were in bed early last night!

Feeling bit fed up, seem to be growing in size! must start diet AGAIN today!

Had a lousy night with DD running a temp, seemed better but warm again so more baby brufen this morning although for her she didn't have a bad night. It was DS coming into our bed at some point overnight, I remember taking him back to his bed at 330, then him returning to my bed at 430 and driving his car for about an hour before I took it away! DD then fed at 6ish but both kids gave me a lie in so not a total waste of a night!

The bad news is that it may not have been something we ate - friend who looked after DS on Saturday now has tummy cramps and her DH has been sick feel worse from guilt than I did from bug

Am still shattered but can't blame it all on lurgy

never so glad to see the DC in bed tonight.....bumble has been a grump all day and he and Dd have been fighting again. she shoves him whenever she gets the chance, and if she lies on my lap for a nappy change he's over like a shot pulling her hair, the little monkey.

I've been trying to work and do website stuff and order some business cards today....it took me almost eight hours to get the business cards designed, but I think they are looking good....will try and upload the proof if I can figure it out.

Hey everyone - just passing through as very busy tonight (why does everything suddenly seem so important when you are going into hospital??) Plus my sister needs all the baby stuff by the end of the week so am trying to gather all that together aswell.

Had Hamsters '8' month check today - the HV said she was coming at 4 so we all went to a soft play area for lunch and a play and came back at about 2.30 to tidy up etc. The silly woman arrives at 3 whilst DH was frantically hoovering up fairy cake crumbs from the rug, the telly switched on and Hamster fast asleep upstairs - I was not very happy tbh!! We could still have been out fgs. Anyway, all ok - which I guess it should be since the check is 10 weeks late

Right need to get on with some stuff - see you all Wednesday evening (hopefully)

Both A and I were ill and now I'm just permanently exhausted. DH and I are also feeling the effects of being under each other's feet 24 hours a day

Hope all these poorly babies get better soon and we all get some sleep Took DD to the drs this morning and she has an ear infection, either as a result of the cold or on top of it. No wonder she's been so unwell. So she's got some ABs and I'm continuing with the pain relief. She was much more herself this afternoon and the fever seems to have gone. Fingers crossed we're over the worst of it!

barbs thanks wanted to get into the halloween mood, how are you doing?

Hope all went well for Ceebee today.
I wonder if anyone has any tips for getting DD to take ABs using a syringe? E is refusing to take them and just spits out whatever I manage to get into her mouth, which rather defeats the purpose! I don't think it's the syringe itself as she takes Nurofen for children using a syringe quite happily. It might be the taste, but I can't do much about that! She's also being funny about taking Calpol using a spoon too. Any suggestions gratefully received!

cricri it depends on the type of AB, ime. Some are utterly disgusting and I can understand why they won't take them. My siggestion is to go back to the GP and ask for a different one that tastes better- honestly, I'm not kidding!

Hana, so sorry to hear this. Hoep relate helps. Did I tell you that we forgot our anniversary this year ? Dh and I are very sad about this and kind of think that it is not a good sign. Saying that, we had 29 things on our calendar that month. and the anniversary wasn't actually written down, but then we never have done before. but just coz we were busy is no excuse. when we realised we discussed going out to celebrate, but haven't done that. do you think we should. it does seem really sad, doesn't it ?

ceebee, first day went well. it was wierd. it was stange sitting at a desk, uninterupted and being so sedetary.
No they didn't back down. I am working 2.5 days as before. My manager maintained that he hadn't agreed to anything. dh says, 'they are calling you a liar, they/the company are calling you a liar'. at the last moment, they said that I hadn't complied with my original letter, because I hadn't named my son as the reason for my adjustment to my hours. so petty. that hadn't bothered them before, when they refused it instantly with out meeting, did it ? fuckers. they asked me to re-submit and start the process again. but no pertinent information could be added, so i called it a day and agreed to go back 2.5 days. how can i work for this man ? or this compnay. will start looking soon.
I do thurs morn till christmas and after thurs pm. nursery will let me know if my preferred thurs morn becomes re-available. I will start looking for 2 days a week, soon.
