PatTheHammer · 22/07/2009 20:38

dog supposed to be going home on sunday morning, DH missing us and all that!

LenniEd · 22/07/2009 20:38

Yes Dylan buggered off today mid-poo trailing along behind him it was [ick]

PatTheHammer · 22/07/2009 20:39

Yes, lenni has to be queen of the ittis, she is the wise all-knowing one on reusables in general!

kittypink · 22/07/2009 20:39

Hia all, thanks so much for your support. Had a traumatic look in the mirror earlier when realized all this messing around with my milk has made my one giant boob even bigger and I'm sure the other one has started to shrink!!!

I managed to Bf at 6.00 before she went to bed (really early but she was knackered) Have been fairly uncomfortable today. Will have to see what happens tomorrow morning but will def have bottle of formula on stand-by.

I will try to banish all feelings of guilt, I am very proud that I'v made it this far as it has been such a struggle the whole way.

I just wish I could express. Never used to be a problem but don't manage to get anything nowadays.

Been visiting friends today. Was quite relaxed and the walk there and back was good.

Have started the no-cry sleep solutions book as well today. Have been making sleep logs.

moose DD is getting broccoli tomorrow! exiting adventures of the vegetable kind!

LenniEd yey! to DS crawling. Nothing is now safe!

hongkongzoe · 22/07/2009 20:40

I can never catch up on this thread!!
Tree Glad to hear your Mum's partner got positive news.

Dog Can relate to the over zealousness of older siblings, DD is normally pretty gentle, but the last few days there have been a few close shaves (mainly involving Judes head and DDs incredibly enthusiastic bed bouncing)

Very useful links today, am going to check them out for DS who seems to come up in eczema every time he has baby rice/porridge.

Could I be thread keeper of large glasses of red wine and the occasional marlboro light?

I have to say the jumperoo takes up a hell of a lot of space, DD, DP and I are wedged in the corner on the sofa while DS bounces around...I want some sunshine so it can go in the garden.

DS was very clingy today, nothing would amuse him for more than 5 minutes unless he was attached to my hip. Today has gone very very slowly! And those pesky people from the student loans company caught up with me. I really thought I had paid it off under some jammy teacher shortage scheme...but forgot about my PGCE loan for two grand arghhhhh! Hopefully they will give me a while to sort it out as I am supporting 3 other beings at the moment.

Lenni Sending good sleep vibes your way. Have you tried burning a little lavender oil before bedtime, it works for ds, its quite calming? Its a bit of a long shot though...am not sure which of the things that we do to try and make him sleep actually work so keep doing them all! Am still too scared to drop the dream feed too.

stripy to your poorly boobies. Would a soak in a hot bath help to open the passages and get things moving? I may be wrong but it'd be nice anyway me thinks

qumps · 22/07/2009 20:44

lenni is it a yay to crawling or a oh bugger? Not sure how I will cope when both moving in 2 different directions.
Stripey poor poor you with blocked duct again. Sorry reread my post and didn't mean it to sound oh look at me and my toys. We didn't buy any of the damned things, all grandparents and aunties and uncles. I wanted all wooden pretty coordinated toys not the plastic pile that has taken over my house but hey guess I am glad of the 5 minutes peace I get.
Moose i want those biscuits too! About to go on there and have a really good look, thanks for the link. Does anyone lese know about ready brek, does it contain gluten? Like other I always though oats were gluten free?
Just read a horrific post about child abuse that is really upsetting. God there are some awful people in this world.
Dog glad Isla is ok too. Sounds like something ds1 would do too in excitement and play, rather than malicious. Sounds like Arlo was sorry. Am sure when she is bigger she will give him a few bruises back!

Red wine over here please thread keeper!

Might try lavender oil - got some somewhere and love burning oils, makes me feel very sophisticated.

Love all these boffin references - esp since I was always the class thicko when I did my undergrad. It was Physics though, and compared to your average joe I'm pretty good at Maths, but compared to a Physics degree class I'm very very shit.

Looked at my bank account just now - £50 in there Oh dear. Better get a job methinks.

qumps · 22/07/2009 20:48

Ooh HKZ malbro light...mmmmmn

kittypink · 22/07/2009 20:49

HKZ thats really interesting about rice and eczema. I'v not been able to work out what is making DD's head so bad and she has baby rice every day, I didn't know that it could cause a reaction. Will try alternatives!

PatTheHammer · 22/07/2009 20:49

kitty poor wonky boobies! hope better soon. sleep log sounds a good idea. Z sleeps well in the day and very regular but at night he goes 7pm-7.30am but with 2 wakings usually.....not so good!

HKZ Love the name! LOL at DS taking up your whole living room with his jumperoo! I also had my loan paid for me by RTL scheme, do they not pay back any PGCE loan then?

stripey bath sound good idea. I think you should be keeper of the witty remark or something, you seem very well read and full of wisdom to me

dog he may never speak to me again but i could go back a bit later I suppose..........

X posts with Kitty Glad your are banishing all feelings of guilt and feeling proud, good work! It's weird how emotional feeding your baby is.

OP posts:
kittypink · 22/07/2009 20:51

LenniEd to bank account. mine is pretty unhealthy. I reckon I'l be going back to work soon too.

stripeywoollenhat · 22/07/2009 20:52

kitty, baths never seem to fix it. thoguh any excuse, of course...

qumps, your post wasn't at all look at me-ish. i reckon our folks are getting their own back on us for filling their houses with our crap stuff for years by never coming round without something plastic and colourful, myself... actually, my mum has perfect judgement on the precise calibration of garish noisyness to entrance c, and i'm not knocking it really, no point in buying pretty wooden thigns that she isn't interested in

qumps · 22/07/2009 20:53

HKZ you must be a young un for still paying off student loans. Either that or you partied very hard!
Dog I use a mat for time out and ds1 just gets up and goes and cuddles S when he has doen something naughty. Very sweet but I am not sure super nanny would approve!

qumps · 22/07/2009 20:55

Kitty my sis positively PHSL when she brings the next garish thing to my house. She even bought ds1 a bloody recorder! Brought back bad memories as I knocked my front tooth out with mine...and swallowed it

kittypink · 22/07/2009 20:56

pat DD wakes loads during the night sometimes every 20mins-1 hour, hence trying new techniques. TBH i'd try anything right now as am slowly going mad, mad, mad I tells you!

hongkongzoe · 22/07/2009 20:58

Blimey, I just went tohave a ciggy water the garden and came back to discover a whole new page had been written.

Pat Discovered there was a ceiling limit Think I went overboard with my loans to fund my holidays shopping partying hard studying.

Kitty Its just a hunch, but the eczema only appeared when I started weaning and it seems to get better without the rice and the doctor said it was quite common and to reintroduce every now and then and see what happened. His eczema is pretty mild though.

x-posts qumps I bet ds1 makes a beautiful sound with that!
