Morning All!!!

Just a quick post.

'Tis True- we are East Anglia, Right on the Suffolk/Essex Border. Only been here a year, before that we were Sussex (just outside Brighton!)

Just had a FREAK out.... noticed Esme's Fontanelle (sp?) Sort of Pulsing, oh my goodness.... but Googled and found LOTS of articles saying its normal. Its not at all dipped, so i think she is OK. But, has anyone else noticed this?

3 Days and Counting until OH home!!!!! I miss him!

Off to Take Esme to her Great Grandmas! Will be 4 Generations together, (Esme, me, my mother and her mother! Brilliant!)

SparkleandShine · 17/07/2009 09:36

rray - it's 100% normal...

tinkisback · 17/07/2009 09:49

it is normal looks yucky though!!

enjoy family meet up

treedelivery · 17/07/2009 10:15

Ok I have no idea what's going on - I read but forget

Full of cold [oink oink] but no temp or cough so thinking plain cold. Feel pants.

Last day of plreschool, off to teddy bears picnic at 11 then all done at noon!

ooooh mi head and ooooh mi sinuses.

missjackson · 17/07/2009 10:47

Wow ray make sure you get lots of photos. for me as my dear Grandmother has very bad Alzheimer's and is in a home with no idea of who we are - I haven't taken Nye to see her yet because her blankness is hard to deal with, but I should and I will. Nye hangs out with his Great-Grandfather lots though (he lives nearby by himself at 88!) and they have a great time together.

Off to waterbabies..

Sorry for any green baby accidents last night.....
now mini-Boden have a sale on too!

missjackson · 17/07/2009 10:51

Ps still looking at highchairs - did you know you can design your own colour scheme for tripp trapps here? It's really cool!

Can I ask, is the 'natural' a pine shade? I really want something to fit in with my pine chairs. Looked at the babydan danchair at JL yesterday, which is 'natural' but it's a bit pale and plasticky- looking.

EachPeachPearMum · 17/07/2009 12:23

dogI think its because a lot of us share an exchange. Our network is secure, and there are at least 11 other networks I cansee from my machine

rray yes! it's her pulse dont worry- fraeked me out too the first time.

So DH has temp of 38.8

Oi Books we're not having that, its not on and thats the law!! Everyone has busy weeks and woeful attempts to catch up are the norm for most of us Where you live then, are you not on Fb?

Eppm hope Dh better soon.

dog Nappies sound cute. Hope Beth enjoys her last day. DD had her leaving playschool party this morning, twas manic! Bit sad that all the older ones leaving, don't think they really realised though! I (shhhhhhh) bunked off work so I could go, do feel rough though in my defence and have felt very much a spare part at work so don't think I'll really be noticed.....hope not anyhow.

tink and tree hope your DD's enjoyed their last session. Tree hope you feel better soon, I am the same, no temp though so doctor not bothered thankfully.

MissJ Go for the TrippTrap if you fancy the investment, they do some nice colours. that BabyDan one yesterday was an odd colour! Have avoided the green baby sale, may check out mini-boden though......
Sorry to hear about your Grandma, must be heart-breaking.

ray yep, looks scary but is entirely normal as others have said. Hope Esme has a fab time at great-grandma's. DD loves my gran, or 'gwaet-gwanny' as she calls her. they have a very special relationship and my gran always sends her little postcards and things. My grandparents also kept a huge cupboard of toys from their GC so all the great-GC's love going there.
She is scared stiff of DH's Nan and grampy for some reason though .

Right, off to the shops, back soon.

Waiting for GP to ring as temp now 37.8 and on the rise I think.

I don't feel as bad as I did with tonsilitis though, so if it wasn't for the kids I wouldn't be too fussed tbh. It is anotifiable disease though, so I should get a diagnosis either way so they know what they are doing with the outbreaks and where to send meds etc.

Am jellous of brown itti purchases big style.

Wool worth a try I think, no wrap needed, so could go over a regular nappy that needs a wrap, just forget the wrap. If that makes sense.

Nothing making sense here, am dribbling quivering lump.

Very sore muscles in neck too.

poor you tree!! take carex

elkiedee · 17/07/2009 16:19

Hi Books, don't worry about keeping up but do pop by and say hi when you can. The postnatal threads I was on with ds1 have slowed down a lot but we know we're still there for each other.

Thinking of you Tree.

How are things in the Moose household.

Hope the rest of the gang and their dcs are ok.

Thanks for all the nappy links. I emailed one of them last night to ask whether they can take real nappy vouchers and she replied - at 11.20 pm!! I've asked dp to do some photocopying so I can apply for one. I've just had my last month on full pay for some time (once I go back, we'll be spending most of my income on childcare).

elkiedee · 17/07/2009 16:26

Sorry that last post didn't make sense at the end. I can't really afford too many online shopping accidents on SMP. I have just bought some nice stuff from Gossypium at www.gossypium.co.uk though. I am really disappointed with the lack of dinosaurs in the new Next Directory. There's some outfits in the newborn baby section which I think make the models look like little old men.

treedelivery · 17/07/2009 17:10

oinky flu here

Although tbh I feel like anyone does with a cold or flu. So it could be any old bug couln't it? I wish they were still doing a diagnosis.

Moose - have you stayed off the antivirals? DH gone to collect prescription - I am unsure what to do tbh.

We emergency baby sat a friends 6 year old last night as her nan is ?swine flu. Now have uncomfortable task of ringing her mum......

........and the preschool as I was at the teddy bears picnic today..............

Feck. I hope they aren't cross with me, the mums that is. I felt ok really - was thinking flu in jest not in all seriousnes! But have much much worse since about 2 ish. Oh dear!

PatTheHammer · 17/07/2009 17:17

Oh no Tree! Don't envy you, think its quite rife now though so the mums won't be blaming you if/when their LO's come down with it. I tried to keep away from the pregnant mums today just in case and didn't serve the kids any food.

Elkie I sympathise with the money/childcare thing. When do you go back to work?

dog few baldy babies on this thread and they all ROCK, Zach included (think he may be the baldiest of them all, has about 5 hairs round the back tucked in between his neck-folds). DD had no hair till 18mths .

tinkisback · 17/07/2009 18:13

poor you tree - get well soon

treedelivery · 17/07/2009 19:46

Aww they have been so so so nice. Am really glad I rang them all now, I have to say I thought of not doing. As in fact they could have given me it, or it might be a bloody cold!
But I fidured I'd want to know so I rang and they were all very cool about it. Phew! Didn't want to find a burning wooden pig outside my house.

Dunno what to do about the drugs.......it's relly hard. Part of me says take em, get better and if Hats gets tiny exposure then good, maybe she will fight it off, coupled with the viral fragments I pass throught the milk.
Part of me says, noooooo unclean, just ride it out, no evidence of safety, no proof.....Argh!

EachPeachPearMum · 17/07/2009 19:50

Oh tree... not you too?

Well, I made DH ring gps again, as he had problems with passing blood earlier this week and had blood tests taken, so I thought maybe he had infection? GP says SF, and blood tests not back yet. Great

moose hope ds is feeling better.

We have a walk-in centre here where you go to be diagnosed/dosed up, but I have said to DH there is no way - either he has it, and will get better soon anyway, or he doesn't but he'll pick it up from there. Not worth going really.

EachPeachPearMum · 17/07/2009 19:51

x-post tree. Does it pass through milk?
Have started expressing for DS (for weaning) and am worried I'll have to dump it (AGAIN!!!!FFS)
