Spink is in Brighton and Qumps, London I think. HKZ, Elkie also London I think. Ray is East Anglia/Essex way. Just had quick search on FB!

PatTheHammer · 16/07/2009 21:46

LOL at driveby clipping!

I am also 'dentist mummy' twice a day......its very tedious

LenniEd · 16/07/2009 21:49

Almost finished, only 300 words and some tidying up left to do so no shooing me away Dog (Appreciated efforts earlier btw - was getting distracted!)

I have family in and around Brum if that helps. Actually Moose/EPPM's neck of the woods would suit me just fine as there is a lovely Premier Inn there and DH's family so easy to plan a trip to include a MN meet-up! How about Warwick? London people could you get there by train?

Hi

Ds1 has had a raging temp, sore throat and headache again this evening and went all tired and weak. Just went downhill really suddenly after seeming much better all day. Fortunately calpol seems to have done the trick this time. He's had three doses of Tamiflu now and no side effects so far .

I am much the same, no worse than this morning and soldiering on, even managed to make ds1's favourite lasagne for his tea.

Ds2 was extremely tired and tearful this evening, really hope he's not caught whatever this virus is.

Dh was late home so dd was too tired to start BLW really. Still, she started off well - grabbed the broccoli and stuffed it straight in her mouth, chomping away like a pro .... then she threw it at the dog, who caught it mid-flight and was very appreciative. She was very interested in the sweet potato wedges and had a couple of proper mouthfulls - and a couple of gags. The first mouthfull made a reappearance a couple of minutes later, but I think the other one might actually have gone down.

Fruit for breakfast tomorrow methinks.

Am very of all you itti buyers. We have just discovered that we are quite a lot more broke than we thought we were going to be this month and I had a couple of shopping accidents while dh was away, so I can't buy any until after payday and then we have our holiday next month so won't have much to spare then either.

Am off to read that NCT page now, thanks for the tip.

Oh and Tree could come and stay with Moose - am certain you two are long-lost cousins or something. It'll be fine.

Hmm, can you tell I am same person who got to Glastonbury at age 16 with the 'it'll be fine' attitude and ended up sleeping under a piece of plastic with 5 other friends in a ditch for a night? With holes cut in it for smoking. Tend to be a little impulsive.

Lol at 'dentist mummy' Pat - I'd never get out of the house with all those roles to fulfill!

PatTheHammer · 16/07/2009 21:55

PMSL at fairy cranes and unicorn grass .

moose Hope Ds1 ok tonight. Can't believe you are functioning to the extent of making a lasangne. I need to be less lazy! Loving the dog catching DD's broc mid-flight. Sounds like a great first attempt .

Lenni Warwick sounds a good idea.

moosemama · 16/07/2009 21:56

Tree - or any of you lovely ladies in fact - would of course always be very very welcome in our house, so long as she brings her own shoe-horn for getting everybody to fit. (I live in a shoe box.)

Why do you think we must be we long-lost cousins though?

EachPeachPearMum · 16/07/2009 21:56

HKZ- his 'sideburns' are better, and his nappy area. For some reason his ankles are still dire (maybe because he can rub them so much, the little monkey?)

Definite improvement with me dairy-free, and soya-free. I am just pining for foodstuffs that I can't have
Have just been in kitchen moping in the cupboards, rofl.

Sorry- forgot stripes was sur le mer too...

PatTheHammer · 16/07/2009 21:59

at lenni inviting people to stay at Moose's gaff!

at sleeping in a ditch in Glasto......them were the days!

Warwickshire........ Near Stratford-on-Avon if that makes it any clearer. Quite a trek for you Dog, all the way up the M5 and then M42 I think?? Maybe you could stop in mooses shed or something

moosemama · 16/07/2009 22:12

We've got a wasps nest in our shed at the moment. Perhaps you could stay in the VeeDub!

Am so glad it wasn't you that grabbed the broccoli Dog. I know you said you have to tame your hair, but frankly if that had been you, straighteners alone wouldn't even begin to deal with the problem ... and I would have had to break into "My what big ears you have .... " etc etc.

Sorry Moose - brain not here, is still writing about parental choice and idiosycratic middle classes [yawn].

Erm, not sure why long-lost cousins, just a feeling in my waters. Am sure you'll find some kind of connection one day and we'll all go "I knew it". Or perhaps I just have too much time on my hands and am a bit of a daydreamer.

Dog - you can always stop in nice premier inn with me!

LenniEd · 16/07/2009 22:14

Now that looks like a total afront to Moose's lovely shed and house, which it wasn't intended to be. Can I just crawl under a stone now?

Am going anyway, have to pack. Will miss you all [sad bugger emoticon]

moosemama · 16/07/2009 22:15

Birmingham Airport, big place, lots of planes parked outside.

moosemama · 16/07/2009 22:17

Noooo Lenni, believe me its not possible to insult my shed. Actually we have two and they are both an embarrassment. As for the house .... erm ... well, ditto really.

hongkongzoe · 16/07/2009 22:20

oooh, meet up sounds like a good plan, we have a storage spare room with a bed in it (hidden under piles and piles or laundry) and a sofa bed if any of you ever fancied doing it in London. Would love to go to Warick, my niece is at uni there and would love to check out Stratford (upon avon, not stratford down the road from me, which is incredibly unexciting) Maybe we could have a Mumsnet festival and camp in Moose's garden?

Moose Poor DS1, I hope he feels better soon. Keep us posted on how you are all doing.

EPPM Sorry DS is still suffering with his Eczema. My friends DS, who has jsut turned two, has had it quite babdly since he was a babe and she has recently gone down the chinese medicine route which seems to be helping, he is also dairy and wheat free. I will ask her what treatment she has had and what has worked as will be seeing her next week (she's mad, she just had her fourth DS two weeks ago...all under 5!)

gah- my internet connexion is so flaky in the evenings Im sure one of our neighbours downloads loads of stuff, or watches tv or something- it's always 9 til 11

ummm too tired to make sensible talk now.

missjackson · 16/07/2009 23:59

Warwick sounds great for me too. Maybe we could find a super friendly B&B with a big lounge that will take us all for a night so that we can sit around when the babies are all happily sleeping!

hkz mumsnet festival is not a bad idea!

Can't sleep because of cough. I think I have persuaded OH to let us all co-sleep for longer than 6 months (which is up in 2 weeks!) The key, I have decided, is to buy one of those massive 6 foot wide beds. But am off-put by thought of also having to buy new sheets. I suppose our duvet would stretch.

Anyway, should go to bed now. Night everyone x

SparkleandShine · 17/07/2009 07:16

morning - how do you manage to have two pages of chat while i'm out at the hairdresser fr an hour or so

moose hope DS1 ok?
