MrsMcJnr · 30/08/2009 23:53

Hey ladies no time to catch up tonight (so late } but hope to do so tomorrow.

Can those who know help me? I need to think about bedding for DS's bed, should I get a duvet and what about pillows? is he too uoung ay 19 months? anyone tried the Grobag First sets? any tips warmly received.

Hope you are all well; Aaliyah has been mostly doing the can-can and rolling over and back again this weekend oh and munching on whatever she can - I think teeth are on their way I also think that the Moses basket needs to be put away now

ermintrude13 · 31/08/2009 10:51

Hi MrsMc I was wondering where you were.

DD and DS1 both had a cot duvet from around a year old and I think that's still the advice - but they never liked pillows until they were in the Big Girl/Boy bed at around 2 yrs, at which point they just seemed to see it as part of the deal. The duvet issue is about making sure they don't suffocate but tbh I'd happily use one for baby A because if anything's on his face he'll move it or move up the bed, and in any case you make sure you tuck the bottom of the duvet in so it can't get up too high. I think you can still use big grobags if you prefer though.

V impressed by Aaliya's rolling! Arthur hasn't tried yet - probably too much bulk to shift . He's been out of his moses basket and crib for a couple of weeks now and fills his 3-6 month clothes nicely. And at last he's actually enjoying his baths rather than screaming - a piece of that shaped foam from Boots to lie him on did the trick - he must have felt too insecure with just an arm supporting him.

Enjoy your bank hol, UK mums and yes, good luck Lauraloo.

bigcar · 31/08/2009 13:55

afternoon all

laura, hope I'm not to late to wish you good luck for your interview

littles, not many girls in Mollys class are there! Ime girls friendship status changes daily mortal enemies one day, then bestest of bestest buddies the next, boys do it but not quite to the same extremes. Oh, it's not bossiness, it's spirit, surely a good thing

ineed, hope you've sorted some sleep out and a swing!

doris, it's thursday for me when dd2 and ds1 go back to school and I can't wait Don't get me wrong, I love having them home but i'm in need of five minute peace and a chance to get the house back to ome sort of order! Hope your dd2 is getting on ok

june, hope you've managed to get sorted for your trip

daisy, have you tried propping up the end of the cot to see if that make a difference? A couple of yellow pages may be enough, mothrcare sell blocks too.

naat, hope you got some more sleep, your dads over this week isn't he?

silk, your dss sounds a sweetie, not many 15 year old boys would be keen on that, how lovely

MrsMcJnr, erm is right afaik, duvets and pillows are ok after a year old. Dd3 has a junior bed with the Ikea cot duvet and cot pillow which is smaller and thinner than normal pillows so suits her fine. Ikea sell some nice normal size duvet covers too that are nice and bright if thats what he's into. Depends on what night time temps you get there I suppose. Edward also likes a chew on whatever goes vaguely near his mouth, you'd think he never got fed sometimes

erm, I think Edwards the same as Arthur, a bit on the hefty side when it comes to rolling He's got the most gorgeous chunky little legs that you just want to sqeeze

After chessington last week, we did legoland on saturday, it was manic but the kids all had a great time. I'm so glad we've got sat nav now as the last time we went about 4 years ago we got hopelessly lost and it took us over 3 hours to get there instead of just under one and a half this time, oh well The temp must be really dropping at night now, dd2 and ds1 came in about 10.30 last night saying it was too cold in the tent! They've had great fun camping in the garden this holiday

waves to all

LittleSarah · 31/08/2009 17:21

bigcar and ermin, funny you should mention your boys' size when it comes to rolling, I was talking to dh about the very same subject yesterday and he was saying 'oh I think it's his size, bigger babies probably roll later.' I nodded in agreement secretly remembering that my little daughter did not roll until 4 months! I think it may be my genes at fault.

Interesting to read ermin, bigcar and daisy's comments on friendships at school, I agree bigcar spirit is a far better fit! Should a fun few years.

Hey June, do bump me on facebook, I think I know who you are but better make sure! (My full initials are SH-A).

No time for a long catch-up now, gotta to finish cleaning fridge and then dh's grandparents are coming for dinner. Having a bit of a down day (no phD for me just yet - will tell more later, plus dealing with tail end of minor family tiff and I hate hate hate those) so not looking forward to entertaining. But felt t'would be far too self-indulgent to cancel!

Naat - you poor poor poor thing! I hope things start improving soon.

laura - Good luck with the interview and the doctors, I hope both go well!

Hello to everyone else!

LittleSarah · 31/08/2009 17:23

Oh, just to make clear that dh gps are not at all involved in tiff, the only reason I'd rather them not to come is because I am feeling sad and sorry for myself!

Naat · 31/08/2009 17:40

Hello lovely Juners!!!

Bigcar, yes, my dad arrives Wednesday night and I can't wait!! Glad to know you had a nice time at Legoland and that you got there without going round and round too much Mila isn't rolling either, I'm still trying to get her to like being on her tummy

Erm, hi! glad to know bath time is now an enjoyable part of E's day It's so stressful when they scream, isn't it? I used to get so tense

Mrsmc, hi! Hope things at home are smooth Mila likes to get half her fist in her mouth sometimes a bit too far and she starts making funny faces LOL.

Silk, DSS sounds like a lovely teen, he reminds me of my little brother (he's 13). Hope you have a good time with your parents

Lauraloo, sorry to hear about Sarah's nights. Could it be a bit of trapped wind? Hope you managed to ask the doc today. Oh how did the interview go??

Daisy, still in nighttime nightmare here... 4-5 times up during the night Sorry to hear about F's trapped wind I hope it passes soon ((hug)) Thank you for your lovely comment re. the pics

June, hi! Hope you managed to get all you needed for your trip. Wow, so close now! I hope you enjoy your time there We're not going to visit Argentina for now. DH is going in November because one of his best friends is getting married but he's only going for a few days which makes the cost of all the tickets not worth it, esp as it means running around from one house to the other, from one lunch/dinner to the other, it's work, not pleasure Hope your dad is a sweetheart and focuses on Calypso and forgets about sulking

Doris, hi! I've also been using tesco clubcard deals this week Sorry to hear about A's trapped wind Hope she's feeling better. How's DD2 feeling? Is she taking anything or only nebulising? Hope she's on the mend

Right, 8wk jabs tomorrow Really not looking forward to that. Also, the couples we met at the birth centre parenting classes are coming tomorrow for a cup of tea and cake.

We did a trial run of Mila's baptism cake yesterday and we learned a lot! esp. wrt the icing I had never used it before.

Back to dissertation now. This week is THE week and it's finally over!!!

Naat · 31/08/2009 17:43

LittleS, xpost! Hope you feel better ((hug)) Come and vent away whenever you want. Hope you have a nice dinner despite it all. xxx

MrsMcJnr · 31/08/2009 20:51

Hey ladies Feeling completely frazzled tonight ? soft play was closed so I took the kids to a park and after 4 hours of playing DS then refused to have a nap and as DH had to spend his last afternoon of freedom helping neighbours move, I have had a grumpy DS to contend with all afternoon when he?s tired he is very, very naughty. I guess I had better get used to being alone with the kids again in the afternoons Aaliyah has been an angel though, sleeping off her tiring morning of watching leaves and planes flying slogans! weighed her today; she?s 13lbs7 now (6.260kgs) so has put on 220g in the last 2 weeks.

Now relaxing with a wee glass of chilled white wine whilst both of my babies sleep, both went down for me like angels tonight (DH is out)

Naat ? Lots of ?agoos? here too, love them how is the dissertation? I love all of your photos Mila has fabulous neck control and that one of her sleeping is fabulous I?ll upload one of Aaliyah trying out the bumbo to make you laugh what kind of cake are you making for the christening? Hope Mila is sleeping better. Two sleeps until your Dad arrives All the best for the jags tomorrow. Must book (and buy for 70 euros ) Aaliyah?s PVC.

Littlesarah ? great sleep from Alex Aaliyah is generally doing 9-9.30pm ? 7.30-8am now. What a difference it makes. It?s all change with you ? DD at school, new business?! Aaliyah would much rather suck her thumb or hand than her dummy, isn?t it funny how different babies can be? Where are you going to go for your anniversary dinner? sorry to hear you are having an off day we?re here for you if you need to chat hope dinner goes well and cheers you up.

Choccie ? Eleni sounds like a good sleeper thanks for the permission to rant, you are right, I really do need somewhere to vent sorry to hear about the state of the house you rented for your holiday but glad to hear that you had a good holiday in spite of that no period here yet but I do have returning signs of fertility ashamed to say that there has been no need for contraception. Maybe I should try harder to entice DH and then maybe things would be better between us but it is too damn hot! Sorry to hear about the pains, could they be ovulation pains?

June ? being nosey but what kind of business do you run? You must be looking forward to France now Aaliyah seems to like the rain forest swing although in small doses, she does love to swot the dangling parrot and frog! We were given a lovely fuchsia pink outfit from Myleene Klass? range, so cute! Sorry to hear about your Dad?s comment on the veg, my sis brought Lebanese courgettes over last week from her allotment in Wales, they were yummy!

Bigcar ? I love the baby chatting too thanks for the sleep section tip; I?ve never been over there. Things with DH did seem to be getting better but he started yelling at me at a friend?s BBQ on Sat night, I was so embarrassed. I get worried that people won?t want to socialise with us anymore. I know what you mean about waiting until the coast is clear of little people before putting the baby on the floor! I?d forgotten about Ikea for bedding, duh! Thanks wish the temp would start dropping at night here (still 32c in here now) mind you its September tomorrow so in 2 weeks or so it should be a lovely temp

Laura ? Sarah looks and clearly is thriving sorry to hear that you are bordering on PND like you, I?d want drugs to be my last resort, I hope it doesn?t come to that for you, keep talking to us I supplemented DS? feeds with formula when he was 4 months as my milk dwindled from the stress of our move from Scotland. He started on Cow & Gate?s level 2 for hungry babies and still drinks that now at 19 months (I have tried and tried cows milk but he won?t drink it) how are things with the implant now? Hope the interview went well.

Daisy ? LOL at the thought of your DD being an herb connoisseur at this age! Hope she isn?t reacting as much to the whole confusion of a new sibling, we are having the same here ? or could it be the beginning of the terrible 2s? Glad you got solution to the swing dilemma, hope Amazon come up with the goods, I have never had a problem with them delivering here in Spain. Sorry to hear about DS?s wind issues

Ineed ? sorry to hear that Emily has become a snacker you poor, poor thing. I don?t know what to advise other than trying to not feed her between 6-9pm or a similar timescale to give you time to relax and recoup and then giving her a proper feed after that when she is really hungry. That worked for me with DS. I was advised to try it by my BF counsellor in Scotland when DS was following a similar pattern to your DD. Hope you get some good advice and relief soon. Could it be teething? I remember DS having a really unsettled period like that for a few weeks when he was 4 months and then teeth appeared.

Ermintrude ? thanks for your tips on the bedding for DS I am too nervous to use a grobag as he will try to walk in it, might try one of these www.mothercare.com/Grobag-My-First-Duvet-set/dp/B001EVHBJW/sr=1-26/qid=1251746868/ref=sr_1_26/276-39 80462-4098025?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44411031&mcb=core#productInfo those foam bath things are great, must get another, mine blew off the balcony whilst drying at our last flat

Doris ? sounds like you have been having a lovely time . I?d be interested to hear how you get on with the ?rooti tooti?.

Silkcushion ? how lovely that things went so well with your DSS

I?ve finally joined Facebook if anyone wants to be my friend, still not worked it all out

chocciedooby · 31/08/2009 21:43

MrsMc - That was a mammoth post . How do you do it?!

I am still having the period like cramps but no period! I had thought they were ovulation pains but I am having these pains every day so can't be.

Don't worry about not having done the deed with your dh yet, you are not alone. Nor have I . We just never seem to get our timing right. By the time the boys are settled into bed and Elina has settled downstairs before her last feed, I am shattered and go to bed. DH follows about an hour later.

I am not too worried about this but I do really miss having a cuddle etc. DH seems to be coping ok so.....maybe in the next few weeks ..

My boys were back to school today. It was a hectic day to say the least. DS1 went into senior infants and started at 8.40am. DS2 had his first day and started at 9.30am. There was no crying by DS2 which was amazing. I was so proud of him. Then I was back to the school at 11.30am to collect ds2 and back again at 1.25pm to collect ds1!!!!Poor Elina was woken up so many times from getting in and out of the car, I felt so sorry for her.I am also wrecked this evening from all the tooing and frooing. Its going to be like this for the next 2 weeks until both ds's start and finish at the same time.

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 01/09/2009 05:29

Hello all!

Trying to get DD off to sleep again in her bouncy chair before I take her back up to bed. Thanks so much for all your kind words and advice about her sleep. I can happily report that things have vastly improved since I last posted. One of my friends suggested swaddling (I stupidly hadn't thought of this as DS used to HATE it and scream until we unwrapped him).

So I tried it and it bloody well works! She went from 9pm to 4.20am this morning! Trouble is, she's been wide-awake since, hence the rocking in the chair until she's back to sleep....

We've also discovered that she sleeps in the double buggy too (but not the pram!) so the last two days she's had her day naps in there.... aren't babies weird!

We went to Goodwood races on Sunday - a fabulous family day with loads for the kids to do and totally free for them up to the age of 18. It was great, but bloody freezing. We were totally caught out, but luckily I'd packed rainmacs as an afterthought so at least we could keep the wind off. There were loads of people wandering around in tiny little summer dresses though and I id feel a bit sorry for them!

Had a lovely lazy day in the sun yesterday and it's DH's birthday today. I'm so excited about the present I've bought him. I haven't told anyone in RL about it and they're all desperate to know too! I think we're going to Wisley for the morning and then having a lay afternoon.....

No rolling here either. Mind you, I haven't been putting her on the floor as much as I did with DS as he'll tread all over her. I'll try and fence a little bit off so she can kick around more. She's normally in her bouncy chair or under her gym which is quite padded. She wasn't keen on the Bumbo, but then neither was DS. I'll give it a few more weeks and then I'll Ebay it if she doesn't get on with it.

silk - lovely to hear about DSS and DD. So cute!

Laura - good luck

Doris - good luck when DH goes back to work. My DH goes tomorrow and I'm nervous!

MrsMc - we were nervous about DS going from gro-bag to duvet and pillow. It turned out not to be a problem at all! I let him play in his cot with it and then he had it for his day nap. He didn't want to get out and loved it so much we didn't look back! We had the same worries when he went into a 'big boy's bed' and he was the same! I love gro-bags and didn't want to make the change but he was so bloody active he'd tread all over them and start to rip them at the shoulders when he was standing in his cot! Sorry to hear about DH shouting at you in public again. Hope things improve soon. Let us know how to find you on Facebook!

Naat - Hope the sleep improves for you soon. I'm dreading the jabs on Friday as DD was really unsettled after having hers and we've just got the sleep back on track!

LittleS - Sorry to hear about the family troubles.

LittleSarah · 01/09/2009 09:47

Morning guys

After down day yesterday got some good news today!

I made a couple of cake samples for the cafe my sister works in and her boss phoned today to make a small order with a view to larger orders in weeks to come!

(This is not our business idea by the way but I would love to do this full-time eventually if things went well).

Anyway, her boss was saying that sometimes they order up to 16 cakes a week and she thought, knowing I am starting out and have two kids, that it would be best to see how I get on and how many I feel I can manage. After all if I did get such a large order that would be a lot of work. I don't know how often you guys bake but with batter, icing, cleaning the magimix/blender/bowls,melting chocolate etc it does take quite a while... man I wish I had a MASSSSSIVE kitchen with loads of equipment and a dishwasher. Ah well, I can dream.

Anyway, can anyone give me any business advice about what I need to do re accounts/tax/hygiene? June? I am going to the business gateway for a business seminar tomorrow evening anyway so I can ask them then but not sure how much time I will have for that!

ermintrude13 · 01/09/2009 12:27

Ineed So glad the swaddling worked - they are funny little individuals aren't they, with a whole pile of likes and dislikes we have to work out

LittleS You must be a great baker to be able to sell them. Need a taster?

Hope you girls are getting some sleep; have good days.

June2009 · 01/09/2009 14:06

Oooh, lots to catch up with, not sure I'll have time! much much packing to do still!

littleS I emailed you from FB about business stuff.
mrsmc We run networks it's the kind of job that really kills the conversation at parties.

better get back to packing, i have high hopes for a haircut tomorrow before setting off!!

Naat · 01/09/2009 15:51

Hi Juners!

Back from jabs She behaved really well and just cried for a couple of minutes, I started feeding her right away so as to soothe her (and myself in part as well ) she's been asleep since we got home, no fever until now. I now realise reading the red book they all have to be back in a month and then again one month after! Oh well...

June, I know you're running around getting ready for tomorrow, sooo excited for you!!!

LittleS, congratulations!!! It sounds fab!!! Hope you manage to work out how many a week work well for you. No great knowledge of finances/taxes etc, but I'm sure other Juners will come to the rescue

Ermin, hi!! How are you?

Ineed, I saw on your FB status that something had worked and glad to hear it was the swaddling I think I'm going to give it a try. Yes, babies are weird! Mila likes her pushchair if it has the car seat on, but not the other regular seat on (the one that goes from carrycot to regular seat) She'll have to get used to it, though Glad to hear things are looking up with E's sleep, hope it goes on!!!

Choccie, wow, that schedule sounds hectic! Thank God it's just for two weeks Bedroom action here is still odd DH is very keen and I don't know where my hormones are but apparently not there as I just don't feel that keen... and to be hones (sorry for TMI) it hurts a bit oh well, I guess it takes some time... No period here either but some period-like pains sometimes.

Mrsmc, hi! Dissertation is done, I just have to print it, bind it and take it there once my supervisor sends it back to me. I loved Aaliyah's pictures, especially the one where she's wearing that gorgeous white dress with flowers! So lovely. We're making a basic cake with dulce de leche in the middle (classic Argentinian LOL) and then icing on top. We were also thinking of moistening it with a bit of condensed milk but not sure if it's going to lead to a diabetic coma Ouch about the cost of the jab, is that the only one you'll have to pay?

Mila slept quite well last night. From 9.45 till 1.25 then fed until 2 and slep until 4.45, fed until 5.40 and slept until 7.30. So four hours + almost 3 + almost 2... I guess comparing to up every 1.30hs it's an improvement. Let's hope it lasts.

Today it's two years since we first came to the UK. I can't believe how fast time flies!!

Hope you're all having a nice day! (((waves)))

MrsMcJnr · 01/09/2009 16:19

Just quickly, I am Amanda McKenzie on FB - would love to be friends with you guys - Naat thanks for letting me into your wall, lovely photos

Naat · 01/09/2009 16:39

Mrsmc, Welcome to FB world

bigcar · 01/09/2009 17:11

afternoon all

littles, glad today has proved to be a better day! Great news on the cake front, can I be next in the queue after ermin for tasting please? I think I would be very good at that job

naat, not long now then till your dad arrives Glad the jabs weren't too bad. Is it still the wind keeping Mila awake at night do you think? Edward still isn't keen on being on his front either, he'll lay on his front on me if I'm lying down, but not on the floor It must be a relief to have your dissertation finished, well done you

MrsMcJnr, sorry to hear dh is back to his old ways, I think my patience would have run out by now. I love that cheeky monkey set, it's so cute but I think I would probably stick to separates personally, just thinking of dd3 when she gets a cold and needs her pillow case changing daily, mind you it's green already

choccie, you're certainly going to be busy for the next couple of weeks! Pleased to hear the first day went well, ime it's usually the mums outside shedding a tear while most of the children run in quite happily

ineed, happy birthday to your dh I'm also worried about Edward getting trodden on, he'll wonder where all the freedom has come from when all the dcs are back at school! Yay for all that sleep, hopefully a birthday present that will carry on

june, have a lovely time with your family

I've had to change my browser and everything looks really different, this is going to take some getting used to, better spend lots of time mning Dd3 has her home visit from her nursery teacher on friday, much, much tidying to be done before then

anyone heard from effie and insy recently?

waves to all

Naat · 01/09/2009 17:25

Bigcar, hi! I guess you'll have to MN a lot these days then to get used to the new browser Effie is regularly on FB, Rupert is very well and thriving from what I've seen in her pics, you'd never tell he was a premie I'll give her a nudge so that she comes and post

Off to tidy a bit before the couples from our AN class come! Oh, the lovely MW who was in charge of the course is also coming

By the way, is it too soon to start discussing the Juners get-together in London?

llynnnn · 01/09/2009 18:01

hi all

just had a quick read through glad to hear everyone is doing well. we are good here, had Isobel weighed today and she is 14lb 13! still just under the 98th centile line and in 6-9 mth sleepsuits as her legs are so long!

will try to do a better catch-up post later

daisy5 · 01/09/2009 21:37

lynnnn - Fraser has the opposite - he has a really long body - his legs are quite average. But he already fits his 3-6 month sleepsuits because of his body length and I am incredulous!! It makes me cry to leave all these lovely baby things behind so quickly.

mrsmcjnr - yes things like balsamic vinegar made her raise an eyebrow. Fish sauce threw her completely!!!! Re: bedding - at 18months DD went straight into a cot bed with duvet and pillow and loved it. She insisted on a pillow (as erm says, part of the deal of growing up) - the great thing about the duvet was that if she got a little hot she could dangle a leg outside, or push it off altogether and if it was chilly she could snuggle up in it. Tell me, what temperature is it in the evening on the coast. I know it is a couple of degrees cooler on the Costa de la Luz, but I'm packing my 0.5tog growbags (24oC +) and am not sure if I should be packing a couple of 1tog grow bags as well (20oC - 24oC). Oops just read your post lower down - 32oC blimey - I had no idea it was still that hot. I'm guessing that even in 2 weeks it won't be below 24oC?

Know what you mean about friends and arguments. My dp can start arguments where they don't even exist. I had given him carte blanche to decide where we were having lunch on Sunday as I wasn't bothered either way. He ended up yelling at me (on the high street) that I didn't care about my dd and dss, all I cared about was my baby, and they were going off to have lunch without me (for a mature man he is such a temper tantrum baby at times - I worry about the example it sets the children - he just has no self control) - it really is quite extraordinary how he manages to create such a row out of thin air. Anyway, I asked for the car keys and he wouldn't give them to me and off he went...so I thought b you - I'll get home without your help and so off I set through the countryside with the pram. 4 hours of breastfeeding and walking. Made a really strong point though as he texted and texted and rang and rang trying to find out where I was. Teaches him for abandoning me!!! Anyway, I had the house keys and so he had to go to the neighbours to get into the house and had to explain why. I don't like involving friends, but he must have felt a bit silly.

naat hope you have a lovely evening with your AN friends and teacher. I struggled a bit with my group as we never truly passed the 'polite' stage, and I had a great need to 'unload' and so looked to other friends. Fraser has been having a big feed at 4.30 which is unideal as he then barely drinks at 7am so I am trying to cuddle/jiggle him back to sleep and make it a bit later. Managed to delay the 4.30 feed until 5.50 this morning which means it starts to become more of a proper breakfast. Last night he slept 1:00 - 6:00 which I thought was positive and interestingly he has slept well today and gone to sleep at a good time tonight so here's hoping it goes ok tonight too.

That does sound a lot of night time drinking. How much does she drink during the day?

june networks - sounds interesting, is that social networks, business networking, naughty networking(??) or telecoms networks? Sorry if being too curious!!

Ineed - mine likes to sleep almost anywhere but the cot!! Yes, strange creatures.

Anyone ever come across a doomoo - I just saw them advertised and it had rave reviews.

choccie - no action in our household since January. Cobwebs are holding our bed together!!! Hoping the holiday on Friday might address that, as have had the wax done and am on the mini pill. Have ordered the baby swing seat. Now time to get frisky me thinks!!! I love not having a period. I suspect a resurrected love life might help our relationship some.

littles - a friend of my DP's makes wedding cakes. I think she spent a lot more time on them at first. I hear now she has 'help' and a good system in place. Like everything I guess.

Frightening experience of the week was when dp pulled down the garage door vigourously saying 'stand back' and dd rushed forward into the falling door and then came the most hideous cracking noise. I envisaged her unconscious in a hospital bed. It was a truly blood curdling sound. Utterly miraculously, she escaped with barely a bump. Shaken but no signs of concussion and it's been 24 hours. I hope and pray never again as we must have been lucky that it hit one of the stronger parts of her head and maybe her fall absorbed some of the impact, because we really cannot fathom how she escaped so uninjured. Although her mummy seems to have nine lives so maybe she is the same!

silkcushion · 01/09/2009 23:09

evening all just got back from a night out with dh for our anniversary. Parents were babysitting. Nice to spend some time together although we tried a restaurant that we'd never been to before - distinctly average food (but beautiful and romantic location) - not really worth the money. I've had a gin and tonic, nearly half a bottle of wine and a port with the cheeseboard! Feel completely pissed. Just unused to drinking, that's a binge for me.

MrsM I've requested you as a fb friend - I'm VW.

Llynn - yr little girl sounds huuge. We'll all envy those long legs when she grows up.

LittleS congrats on the cake orders

Daisy yr poor dd - hope she's still fine

and that's it from me - off to snore sleep now

daisy5 · 01/09/2009 23:54

You must watch this

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 02/09/2009 06:58

daisy - that's hilarious!

mrsmc - I requested you as a friend on Facebook. I'm CA.

Hope you are all well. DD woke at 1.30 lst night for a feed and then slept til 5.30. Not so good as the last few nights, but better than before. I've ordered some swaddling blankets from Ebay and they should arrive this week. She seems to work herself loose from the normal sheet and this is what wakes her up.

silk - glad you had a good night.

Still no 'action' here in the chocolate household. Mmmm. I know I have to have a go before I next see the physio and before I see the consultant (about my third degree tear). Might try this weekend....

Well first day on my own as term started today. DH has loads of resposibilty this year so I know that it's going to be tougher as he'll need to work a day at the weekend and most evenings..... oh well. On count down to half term now.....

Naat - hope the sleep is improving. Glad the dissertation is done.

Love to you all.

Ha ha Daisy have forwarded this link to DH. Now he'll have to acknowledge the fact that it's not just my 'frigid friends on Mumsnet'* who aren't in the mood

*he's only joking. I think.
