So................

He apologised. He was really supportive when I had depression last time, which is why I was so floored by his comments.

He knows he's been an arse. He has actually taken the rest of the day off work . He has gone to get DD2 for me, which has given me chance to catch up with the perving, leering webchat that occurred with DoodleDo man (who answered my questions ), it's a funny thread, he was a great sport I think, considering it was a bunch of (probably) middle-aged mothers slavering over him). Yes, I am pathetic.

Anyway, back to the man I'm actually married to....we've still got a few issues to sort out but I think we'll be ok.

Loobs You're a lactivist now, wanging your norks out willy-nilly .

Fi fresh peas , I have always loved them, my Granddad used to grow peas just for me. Pea and ham soup . Peas, pancetta and goats' cheese peas scoffed straight from the pod

swineflu - I'm always really dismissive of these alleged pandemics and epidemics, but it's different now I have a tiny baby, the thought of coming into contact with it worries me.

Oh and what is this uniqlo? is this a reasonably-priced fashion emporium of which I am unaware???? Details people......

As you can probably tell, I am feeling happier, still things to be sorted but we have both said our piece and we have managed 9 years through some fairly difficult times, we'll be ok.

Thank you to everyone for thinking of me and supporting me. I wish I could hand actual cocktails and cake and whatnot around, instead I'll hand round virtual jeans that fit perfectly.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 10/07/2009 15:16

loobs 76 hours !!!!!!!!!!

runningmonkey · 10/07/2009 15:26

So glad it went ok grumps and most importantly that he apololgised. You do sound better too.

Uniqlo is like a Japanese h&m. I went on a shopping frenzy in the one in london last year for honeymoon outfits (jeans and tops - we were camping!) and got loads of stuff for under £100. I accept no responsibility for any credit card abuse as a result of this information ;)

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 10/07/2009 15:30

Japanese H&M styleeeeeee?

Oh that sounds gooooooooood. I think I'm owed an apology present, don't you?

Tummum · 10/07/2009 15:36

Looby that is great BFing news. Well done for persevering.

Tummum · 10/07/2009 15:46

Have calmed down about swine flu now It's just so emotive and worrying when it is close to home. I now have antibac gel by the front door and have wiped all the door knobs (!). Not sure if it will help but it makes me feel better

Grumpy Can I ask for your autograph because you are now famous having spoken to Chris C . Glad things are working out with DH. I love all your posts, BTW, really make me laugh

I'm off to google Uniqlo.... not sure the credit card can take much more

Although I am feeling virtuous because took some clothes we got as presents back to Mamas and Papas and swapped for some lovely clothes for Gethin in the half price sale ! Result - getting clothes without spending any oney

Tummum · 10/07/2009 15:47

that would be money

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 15:48

grumpy glad you're working things out

Tummum · 10/07/2009 15:49

Harumph. Uniqlo only go up to size 16.

runningmonkey · 10/07/2009 15:58

Sorry tum was sure my jeans were 18's. Will check when I get them out of attic!

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 10/07/2009 16:03

Grumpy - well done for getting things sorted. It couldn't have been easy but I'm glad he apologised and you're moving on and you sound back to yourself.

Looby - you are amazing!

Llare - those photos are really cute. Your DS is adorable!

I really need a name change. Have been thinking about it for a couple of weeks but can't come up with anything I'm convinced about. I'd like one that I don't need to keep changing that is - in essence - Ses. I can't have Ses though as it's already taken. Any suggestions?

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 17:28

grumpy delighted that your chat went well. re peas.. i was determined to plant some for ds again this year and only just managed it before grace arrived.. ds and I planted the seedlings out the day before my cs in the drizzly rain!

looby sorry about the cab but whohooo with the bf

ses will put thinking cap on for a new name

uniqlo gonna have to have a look.. love h&m

went to doc's this afternoon.. grace had her granuloma sorted. had ds with me and the doc was running 45mins late managed with difficulty to occupy him luckily grace stayed asleep the whole time and when the doc did her belly button too would have been a nightmare if she'd been awake and wriggling.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 10/07/2009 18:00

Just sniggering to myself - when I read Tummum's post I read it as her wiping knobs (completely missed the door section) with antibac gel. I thought 'poor Mr T'.

rofl rofl rofl

Off to a BBQ and 'Talent Night' (Dear God, it'll be hell) at DD2's school. DD1 has gone off to her school BBQ and Disco slathered in make-up and looking like a strumpet .

DH and I are going to have a lovely evening of Torchwood and House when we get back. Oh and snuggling.

runningmonkey Yeah cheers for telling me about Uniqlo . I haven't just spent loads of money there.

Momino · 10/07/2009 18:15

grumpy, so glad chat went well. not easy, is it? re: Chris C chat, LOL. i browsed through the thread earlier and found it highly amusing. will now do same post chat.

looby, good onya for the BF.

Runningm, worried now about uniqlo being online. very dangerous .

have been to the Gap sale and tried on 11 pairs of jeans. NOt one pair fit properly . next time i'll try non-sale but just couldn't be bothered.

ses, i love how your name has evolved and it would be nice to keep a form of ses. let me have a think too.

Did you not read my disclaimer grumpy?

momi - see above... I am not responsible for any credit card abuse as a result of my shopping recomendations

pulapula · 10/07/2009 20:18

Well i have survived 2 days on the trot with 3 monkeys DCs and it wasn't too bad. I did have MIL round for an hour or so yesterday and DH came home from work early tonight. S only slept on me/in sling but needs must. Tomorrow is my mum's 60th birthday party in Manchester and Sunday is my niece's 2nd birthday party in York so a lot of travelling for us this weekend.

grumpy that's the most action Mr T's knob will have seen in the previous months... well from me anyway. Can't vouch for any self-action on his behalf...

Dandy sounds like the appeal was a nightmare. Really hope the news is good next week. And 5 days to find out

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 21:25

M has been feeding all evening, she seems to keep pulling off so I think she's had enough and put booby away and she fusses and wants more - is this normal?

I guess she could be going thro a growth spurt?

I love being able to feed her so shouldn't moan. dh keeps suggesting giving her a ff to fill her up

pulapula · 10/07/2009 21:34

looby- if she keeps taking a good feed when she goes back on, i'd say it was normal, and she's just having a break and gearing up for more- could be a growth spurt. But with S, if he goes back on, has a quick chomp and then pulls off and does this a couple of times, I assume he's not really hungry, and don't carry on.

Anyway I am off to bed shortly- I have expressed, DH is going to try a bottle at 11pm to see if that encourages S to go later than the 1am or 2am he is currently doing (but that is usually without any feeds from 7pm). I keep imagining sleeping til 5am but a) he'll probably wake before that or b) i'll wake before that worrying about if he's OK or c) i'll be so full of milk i'll have to express. Place your bets now...

pulapula · 10/07/2009 21:38

oh and looby - feel free to ignore DH - the more she feeds the more you produce so this will be a short-term thing, and if its a growth spurt, giving FF will work against it.

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 21:41

blimey pula when do you find the time to express? how many ounces do you give?
its taking me all my efforts/time to bf

it will get easier
it will get easier
it will get easier......

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 21:43

and thank you to everyone for all your support

pulapula · 10/07/2009 21:56

Looby- i express in the evenings, as i've started to get S down so am no longer cluster feeding. I give a 5-6oz bottle at bedtime, and I can usually express about 5oz, or else i collect milk in breastshells as i am quite leaky. Don't be - I have had lots of practice expressing as this is my third DC and it took a while to get into it.

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 22:00

think we're off to bed now to
M is still feeding but hopefully she'll be full soon

hope everyone has a peaceful night and lots of sleep
