re jeans.. i'm in my pre g ones but they are a not snug style.. with side and back adjustment tabs on the waist.. from next yr before last?!

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 07:30

grace now awake again.. better get ds some more breakfast before she demands fed again..

Blottedcopybook · 10/07/2009 08:14

Momino I like Next or Gap for jeans

I just went to the loo and I'm staining the paper - 7.5 weeks and my period is coming back. I am not happy

Tummum · 10/07/2009 08:53

Morning all

Grumpy glad you are having a chat today. Hope it sorts itself out and DH understands how completely out of order he was.

Monimo I suspect I am quite a bit larger than you, but I used to love Hobbs for jeans, and Rocha (in Debenhams) were pretty good too. ATM I am in £12 M&S ones, because they are stretchy and cheap whilst I loose some weight (yeah, right..!) and they aren't too bad.

Blotted at period.

FiK I love Channel 5 too!

DS and DD2 are both lying under the baby gym and smiling and coo-ing at each other. Melts your heart. Must remember this moment next time I want to throttle DD2. Which will be in about 5 minutes.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.x

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 08:54

blotted boo.. i'm at 7wks now and really hoping mine doesn't appear as they were always so heavy and a pita.. i have a prescription for the mini pill but not taken any yet as when i was on the pill before ds my periods were all over the place with break through bleeding etc. don't know if my body would like being on the pill again plus it'd rule out any chances of happy accidents happening

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 08:59

going to head out to park soon as ds is restless. got myself and grace dressed then re dressed because of vom. just to get ds out of his pj's & pack snacks when g is finished with my boob hopefully any moment..

Momino · 10/07/2009 10:47

hi all. inlaws here and i'm taking a 'break' feeding harper. thanks for the feedback on jeans. will try Gap and Hobbs - good sales appening.

periods - i hope mine doesn't come back soon. last 2 times it came back about 2 months after finishing BF. haven't resumed 'relations' yet but would prob use condoms until DH starts shooting blanks after his snip. i agree about not taking the pill - couldn't put my body through hormones again.

still suffering from terrible piles with (tmi) bleeding, constipation and - sorry for lack of better term - feeling like i've got a pole up my arse . might talk to gp about it but not sure what can be done. what an embarrassing ailment. sigh.

hope you're all out, at the park, shopping, generally having a nice day.

momino back from the park.. uneventful trip until ds tripped outside our back gate and fell his length. he banged his knees and got a fright but a drink of apple juice and some mini chocolate fingers have made it all better.. in the middle of this grace does a huge poo when she's in the carrier on me and starts demanding to be fed! glad to sit down now atm i've still got my piles too some days worse than others. they'd prob go if g remembered to use the germaloids more often.

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 11:17

stupid predictive text that's if i remembered not g!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 10/07/2009 11:48

Momino lol @ Dick Van Doike.......

Feeling positive, I am going to get things sorted with DH either way today.

Jeans - the only ones I've ever had that fit, keep their shape and flatter my 'ahem' curvacious (sp????) figure are the pair I'm wearing right now (lost half a stone so am in my fave pre-preg jeans and am now only a couple of pounds of pre-preg weight). They're Warehouse ones, but they are a couple of years old . So, no help there for you Momimo. Plus, you're substantially slendererererererer than me, judging by photos of you

Fi is your DS ok, poor lamb.

Oh scheizer, it's school-run time aaaaaarghh! Must fly, will let you know how this aft goes.

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 11:52

yummy ds and I are tucking into a pile of peas straight from the pods freshly picked from the garden.. should really rustle up something else to go with them though.

FiKelly · 10/07/2009 12:05

ds is a bit sorry for himself but rapidly forgetting it.. apart from when he tries to crawl around the floor and then realizes it's achey

runningmonkey · 10/07/2009 12:16

Hope talk goes ok grump

re jeans - if on a budget I can recomend uniqlo jeans. I bought 2 pairs they fit so well

Tummum · 10/07/2009 12:49

Monimo I went to the GP with my piles and he gave me some wonder steroid stuff which got rid of 'em in a week. He also didn't need a look, so no embarrassment there.

fik poor DS

Grumpy Thinking of you now.

I am trying not to panic but there has been a case of Swine Flu at DD2's pre-school. She is still there but I am worried I made the right decision. Not bothered about me but worried about G getting it. I suppose we have as much chance getting it from going to the Wacky this morning, and shopping in Tesco ! Am still gonna buy some anti-bac stuff to wash hands / door knob with in a vain attempt to keep it out of the house. Also will make an effort to express in case I get ill. Arrrrggghh I am getting really anxious.

Tummum · 10/07/2009 13:13

Memememe post alert...getting really anxious about the swine flu (against my rational mind telling me not to be so stupid). Also just had to say 'no' to a lady from church asking me to help with the new building project because I don't agree with the project. I'm not good at saying no, and I think I really upset her which I don't much like either. I feel like crap now and eaten my body weight in chocolate for comfort food. I really need to get a grip - this is not a crisis and I am making it into one !

Febes · 10/07/2009 13:26

Tummum I know what you mean re swine flu. I worry about DCs getting it. It doesn't look like it is going away either.

I have cancelled going out tonight and resigned myself to having no life for the foreseeable future . DS must be having a growth spurt or development growth sprt or something as he is fussing and feeding more than normal which is alot. I'm shattered. I was up feeding him 4 times during the night and also woken by DD screaming at 3am and DH getting in from work at 4.30am. DS has only had naps of 30-45mins today so I exhausted. DD locked me out of the house this morning when I was putting a nappy in the bin. Lucily my neighbour was home so he jumped over the fence and let me in. DS was screaming by the time I got back in so DD must have done something to him .

Grumpy good luck for your talk this afternoon. I'm glad to hear that you at least sound yourself again as I love your funny posts.

dandy Haven't heard from you for a while. I was wondering how the appeal went? Hope you are ok.

Momino I know what you mean about ill fitting jeans. I have some Dorothy Perkins ones which look ok but I have to keep pulling them up and they give major plumbers arse when you bend over. I might try Next as I like their clothes and they do long leg fit.

llareggub · 10/07/2009 13:49

jeans I have Monsoon jeans but they seem a bit baggy around the bottom. I have some M&S which are even baggier. The best jeans I ever had were Levis 501s but they were university days so many many years ago now! I do have a pair of jeans from Kaliko and they aren't too bad but they are stripy not plain denim. Not sure if they do normal jeans.

We had DS's sports day today. So, so cute! Photos on fb if you fancy a nose.

runningmonkey · 10/07/2009 13:56

Tum - ikwym about worrying the lo's are going to get swine flu. it's no consolation but I think most people who have had it have just been ill for few days ie no worse than normal flu. I don't know however how normal flu affects newborns tho. I am giving a miss to takng A into work to show her off as there have been a few cases in my school.

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 14:43

afternoon all..

hope today goes well grumpy

well I've been to the CAB for advice about work/pay didn't really hear anything I didn't already know
M started playing up so had to Bf in front of the guy giving me advice - he was really cool about it (having a daughter who is bf at the mo) tho so a positive experience, he actually turned round to me and said it was the most natural thing in the world

Momino · 10/07/2009 14:49

llare, your ds is so, so adorable!

swine flu, don't know anyone yet who has it but hope it's just like any other flu(not that any other flu is nicer ). tummum, try not to worry (easy to say).

grumpy, really hope it goes well.

Febes, don't worry about staying in. staying in is the new... ... staying in is the new going out . scary about being locked out and thank god your neighbour could help. phew.

Fi, i looove peas. wanted to plant some this year but thought about it too late.
runningmonk, heard good things about uniqlo but not sure where one is close to me (leeds?).

pulapula · 10/07/2009 14:49

looby- for someone who a few days ago said they felt a failure at BF, you have shown how great you are at it . You go girl!

Sorry the CAB didn't have any new info- did they give you any hope of getting your back pay?

LoobyLou36 · 10/07/2009 14:56

so now gone 76hrs with no formula - yay!

just hope we can hold out

pulapula · 10/07/2009 15:01

looby- wow that is amazing- you have shown you can build up your supply and do all the feeding yourself . Don't worry if M gets fussy again - it could well be a growth spurt and just her way of building supply up even more.

runningmonkey · 10/07/2009 15:11

Momi - just googled uniqlo and it looks like you can buy online... Aaargh that's going to be dangerous for me

I know lots have already said it but well done looby on the bf

hi to everyone else x x
