June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

Have a good last day at work Fury . How long are you taking off?

HellHathNoFury · 03/07/2009 12:16

no idea! Originally 6 months but if I get the 'free' childcare vouchers I might stay off longer to get those!
[sneaky]

HellHathNoFury · 03/07/2009 13:37

My work colleagues gave me a £50 baby gap voucher! Love 'em

Sputnik · 03/07/2009 13:38

I really don't think a cat could expire from being in a hot house, as long as it has water etc. This is Britain we're talking about, how hot can it get?

Sputnik · 03/07/2009 13:40

Oh cool. Are you having a leaving party?

Ohforfoxsake · 03/07/2009 14:00

Ahhh, Sputnik, you forget how we Brits like to get hysterical over the seasons here. I mean, heat in the summer? and why are always surprised and unprepared for snow in the winter?! I mean who could predict that?

Ignore the mad old bat Jammy.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 14:00

DD's spots are better Norty, and have started to go down so looks like she has gotten off lightly. She is still a grumpy little madam though and won't eat (well unless it is sweets, minirolls fruit or yogurt )

bumble seems better; no temp and no spots yet, but is very subdued.....but I think DD had a few days between temp and not eating and the spots appearing where she was a bit flat. Hopefully though it was just heat and teething and he has escaped it.

typically, DH thought I was having a larf when I texted him to tell him that's what they had. He'd never heard of it either.

I am soooooo desperate to buy some more nappies after all my umming and ahhhing. holly have you got any pockets you want rid of?

I've done a few more listings on ebay; I'm such a novice at this though, that I'm not sure I've even done them right Thanks for the feedback Sputnik

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 14:02

The weather reports were all saying to keep windows closed and curtains drawn in the heat anyway to keep your house coolest.

hey foxy

baby gap voucher sounds good fury; I love their little rompers and stuff.

Ohforfoxsake · 03/07/2009 14:14

hey Daisy

You might like this - and anyone else with school age children and wanting to buy pressies for teachers - Virgin Vie on line sale, 10% off via Quidco, 10% off using code OM10.

Smellies for as little as £1.25, earrings £3, necklaces £5. I am sorted for £20 (and thats all the nursery staff too!).

Otherwise I wouldn't bother

Ohforfoxsake · 03/07/2009 14:15

Oh, and they all come really nicely packaged (the jewelry at least) so thats another bonus

HellHathNoFury · 03/07/2009 14:16

nahh no party but I have organised a big lunch/leaving do at Gourmet Burger Kitchen for the team.

HellHathNoFury · 03/07/2009 14:17

Foxy... are you competing with me?

Rialentless · 03/07/2009 14:20

thanks foxy. DS2 is painting terracotta pots and putting in a borage plant (for their Pimms)

am feeling v sorry for myself. DH is going www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/swan/here tonight to cater a wedding tomorrow (it's through a new agency he's trying out). I wanted to go to wartime weekend in Ingleton with my mum but can't cos she's babysitting for dsis, and I suppose by the time DH gets back on Sunday the rain will have started.
Woe is me... bloody weekends. If I have more energy tomorrow we might walk to the beach

TheNatty · 03/07/2009 14:21

ignore nosey neighbor jammy, have a good weekend. i will try not to pop

glad DC a bit better daisy

sputnik DH op is next weekend, which is why i was panicking as its 4 days b4 im due, and ellen was 4-5 days early (cant remember 39+something)
i will be fine as long as someone is with the kids, i dont mind labouring on my own, in fact (and you are all going to think im am crazy) i would rather be on my own anyway long as my midwife is there.
if not i have printed instructions of how to deliver the baby myself pmsl

oh and i have terrible luck where babies coming are concerned. with thomas michael had been out on an all night drinking spree and was rat arsed (as we thought there was no way he would come on his due date )
with ellen we were in the middle of moving house.

so this baby WILL come as soon as they knock michael out, its practially guarenteed

Rialentless · 03/07/2009 14:21

sounds nice fury. I love the idea of a gourmet burger.

Ohforfoxsake · 03/07/2009 14:22

I hope you are going to GBK armed with vouchers Fury

Very impressive Ria! Didn't occur to me to actually make something

TheNatty · 03/07/2009 14:25

im impressed too ria!

hello foxy
hello fury

not usually so many of us on at this time

Sputnik · 03/07/2009 14:38

I think that sounds like a nice present Ria. DD's teacher got a glass Murano pendant for 3 euros off the market, had a box and everything.

She looked shocked when I gave it to her, maybe they don't do teacher's presents here.

Sputnik · 03/07/2009 14:40

Natty there is always the youtube video that guy used to deliver his wife's baby!

TheNatty · 03/07/2009 14:40

lol sputnik!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 15:10

I don't do presents for teachers on the grounds that no one ever gave me presents for doing a job that I was already being paid to do

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/07/2009 15:23

OMFG, I am a big puddle of sweat! All I've done is take dd to pre-school and go to the PO and Waitrose! I do like the heat, but not when I actually have to do stuff!

Jammy, when I was at home we left our cat in our house for a week by mistake. We went on holiday and forgot to shut her outside. She had a cat flap on the garage and her bed and bowls were in there. When we got home the neighbour came rushing up to us and told us she hadn't seen our cat all week and none of her food had been eaten. We opened the door and the cat streaked out! She had been shut inside with no food for a whole week. Luckily the dog's bowl of water was still in the kitchen. She was fine and suffered no ill effects, but she had shat all over my bed!!

Have a good last day at work fury.

Daisy, I have 2 new BGs in boy colours. One white and one Moonbeam. I also have one purple itti bitti and one brown furry itti bitti d'lish. I've sold all my fuzzis and slinki minkis though.

Rialentless · 03/07/2009 15:32

I don't really do teachers presents, but DS2 has made a big leap from howling when we left him at Nursery, to howling if he has to stay off school, at christmas he decorated pots with bulbs in, I am a tight-arse.

Rialentless · 03/07/2009 15:33

looks like it might be just about to rain...

TheNatty · 03/07/2009 15:36

daisy i have a green fuzzibunz going spare, i dont get on with poppers.

the heat is back!!
i actually had to go downstairs and get the washing in last night cos of the rain, and i sat it in grinning (yes at 2am) cos i thought that was it.

no such bloody luck
