June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Jammy, be posh and call it coulis

I hate whinging whining children

Rialentless · 10/07/2009 09:17

and snotty yelling screaming ones.

off out with dsis

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 09:19

Oh dear jammy, sounds like the time I made fudge toffee sauce!!

I do like nathaniel, but think it's too close to your name natty. I'm sure it would get confusing! I love the name Oliver, but a Holly and an Olly would have been too much, hence William!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 09:21

Dp is possibly going to buy a car this afternoon. I saw it the other day and it is only £500, nearly the exact amount I have made from ebaying over the past few weeks! It's a Megane Scenic. I don't really like Renaults, but we are quite desperate and beggars can't be choosers! Dp has a suspicion it may be a bit dodgy though, so we'll see!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 10/07/2009 09:38

Fury. That's what I've just told DH we are having for pudding tonight - yoghurt and homemade raspberry coulis!

Good luck with the car Holly.

We're having a holiday in Devon in Sept, coming back on the 12th. Just had this conversation with DH.

DH: I've had a text asking if I can go on a lads' poker weekend, the weekend of Sept 12th.
Me: OK
DH: I thought we could come home from holiday on the Friday instead, and I'll go off about 6pm on the Friday night.
Me: OK. It's fine, go away for our anniversary.
DH: Is it our anniversary?
Me: Yes. On the 12th.
DH: The 12th? Really?

Hurrah! We have wheels! Didn't get the Megane, the guy brought the wrong car round , but dp saw another in the Auto Trader and it he has just bought it! A Mitsubishi Carisma. It is in good condition and was only £350, so we have some money left over for insurance (I was worrying about paying that!). He's just gone to pick up dd whilst I sort the insurance out. I feel so much better now we have a car! We can actually go shopping and buy more than what will fit in the pushchair basket!

HellHathNoFury · 10/07/2009 18:09

yay for the car Holly!

My Brother used to have a carisma. It would be the first and last time he possessed anything close to charisma.
Ha, I kill me.

Today I went to 'Tippitoes' where DS sang and then wrecked the joint, I had to leave early because I was parked illegally, then I called the woman later to apologise for not paying, oops.
Then I had a MW appt with the dirty fat bitch who doesn't wash her hands after the toilet.
I am sure there are lovely MW's out there, why is it that I don't get to meet them?

HellHathNoFury · 10/07/2009 18:09

Oh Jammy meant to say about your DH. I hope you verbally castrated him

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 18:26

I love you fury! You make me PMSL!

Dp hasn't shut up about having "carisma" since he bought it! He's been outside to take a photo, so he can put it on his facebook profile with the status "dp has carisma". Dp, for example, is a twat.

It is an ok car, it drives well and is in good condition. There are two downsides...one is the power steering is broken, so it steers like a tank and I can't drive it, the other is that it looks like it should be an Indian taxi! Hey ho, not bad for £350 though!

LackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2009 19:02

oh, you lot crack me up

yay for being mobile again holly. I really couldn't live without my car!

Has that baby got a name yet Natty? Couldn't find the gel thingies; DH has a feeling they were thrown out when we did the NCT sale, sorry. I've packaged up some other bits and pieces for you though which is on it's way

Jammy.....men what can I say? I hope he has rethunk the poker weekend, or at the very least is prepared to miss the Friday and join them on the Saturday.

Rialentless · 10/07/2009 19:09

pah to your DH jammy (we still haven't had our belated anniversary)

yay for your car holly

yuk to your MW fury, hope you get a lovely one for labour

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 19:17

Dp is loving the car! He needs to go to the shop and buy beans and tomatoes if he wants his "full mashings" in the morning. He is very excited because he doesn't have to walk!

Rialentless · 10/07/2009 19:25

DH has got a PT job in a bar, and he's onhis 2nd shift[shocl] (something of a record), he said it is difficult pulling pints with his left arm though...but he gets a rota and everything(!) and it'll get him out for a bit.

Dsis brought me details of a job in the hospital. I am tempted to apply.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 19:25

I bought this with my Boots points today!!

Rialentless · 10/07/2009 19:26

holly

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 10/07/2009 19:26

That's good ria, I love bar work, it is great fun. Hope his hours are ok though, they can be a killer!

Rialentless · 10/07/2009 19:35

I hate it, I would rather waitress.

went in M&S today. found a gorgeos dress but I can't show you it cos its not on the website. It was £50 though so won't be getting it.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2009 19:53

All with points holly? sheesh, how much custom do you give boots???

LackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2009 19:55

I loved bar work.....can't see anyone wanting a 40 yo less than sveldt pint puller though....but I need to get a job for my sanity, if not for the financial benefits!

Ria, tell him to hold the glass with his left hand and pull with the right!!

FrazzledFairyFay · 10/07/2009 20:30

Ria, what size are you? I have a couple of nice dresses in 20/22, if you'd like to borrow one?

Jammy - to your Dh
Fury - [boak] to your mw

FrazzledFairyFay · 10/07/2009 20:34

I am officially old - Dh is at the pub and I'm sitting here, on a Friday night, in my pjs, watching Gardener's World - and enjoying it. If someone had told me that 10 years ago, I wouldn't have believed them.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2009 20:42

I don't like the "new" Gardener's World fairy. All this what's hot and what's not nonsense

I can't remember the last time I had a night out in the pub, involving actually drinking.
