June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

Congratulations Natty!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 18:45

Better thanks Ria . Throat not as sore and aches mostly gone, but now very sweaty and headachey.

I had run out of paracetomol earlier, so took some calpol 6+...it seemed to work the same magic on me as it does children and I felt fantastic for a bit there!

DS1 got sent home from school with the same lurgy as me

Hey Catkin . Good to hear from you and Happy Birthday to your DS

My auctions are going well.....lots of watchers, a few bidders and questions and a few sales. It's all getting exciting. I listed another 7 things this afternoon and I have more to do this evening.

Is there a limit to what I can have on at any one time?

Bumperslucious · 07/07/2009 19:17

Oh well done Natty!

Hoe you are better soon Daisy.

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 19:21

Daisy, list as much as you like, but a word of warning - if you list LOADS then you will have LOADS of packing and posting and money etc all at the same time. I like to stagger mine a bit. But perhaps I am weak

Bumper as a blonde, how fun! I want to go serious red but haven't got the guts. Funnily enough I did have the guts to go purple and 2 inches short once though.

Rialentless · 07/07/2009 19:30

I had a blonde "tank girl" crew cut once

I stagger my posting too, only a couple of items at a time, otherwise I never see any benefit from the money I've made if they pay paypal iyswim.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 19:33

OMG OMG OMG.....I'm sooooooo excited

Gripped by ebay fever, DH and I have been looking at things we have that might be collectible. I have a first edition book of paintings by Jack Vettriano, and signed by him.......I've just been digging around t'internet and unsigned ones are worth £225

and by the ISBN, it's definately the first edition

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2009 19:33

I do the opposite - get it all over and done with at the same time - do a huge trip to the post office then leave it a few months

What happened with the road rage Fury? Did you bat your eyelashes to the policeman?

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2009 19:36

bloody hell.....how exciting

Rialentless · 07/07/2009 19:45

wow daisy, that's fab. the best we've done was about £15-20 for a Queen picture disc LP, and £40 for my lovely lovely biker jacket (oh how I miss it). I have just had positive feedback for my crocs alice I sold (bloody things crucified my heels, but I loved them too), so now I can buy something (I try not to spend my paypal "takings" til I've had feedback, just in case)

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 19:54

Daisy how exciting!!

Norty it was a COMMUNITY SUPPORT OFFICER!! hahahaha

He signalled me over and all I saw was the uniform, I thought he was a cop, and he told me that my behaviour was inappropriate and not to do it again

I DID have road rage though. Wanted to kill the fucker. So I banked the kerb and drove around him to overtake. Yeah ok so I displaced a few pedestrians who clearly thought I was barking, but I had been in a queue for 20-sodding-minutes because of knobs cutting up the inside... and when it was my turn at the front I was taking a stand. So ner.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/07/2009 19:59

Cool Daisy (about the Jack Vetriano book). We like his stuff DH's grandmother had 1st editions Lord of The Rings books, but they weren't worth as much as expected when stuff got sold after she died apparently.

DH brought home 3kg of strawberries and 2kg raspberries all reduced price from Waitrose tonight (All of them for £4). So looks like I'm making jam this week then

Day out in London with my brother tomorrow. Not sure what we're doing yet though, depends on the weather.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 20:16

I have another signed book as well, but it is a famous (and dead) architect and I can't find anything on that. The book on it;s own is worth about £50 second. Not sure what famous dead architects are worth!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 20:17

of course the quandry now is whether to sell it, or wrap it in tissue paper and save it for a rainy day......

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2009 21:05

Have you got an ice-cream maker Jammy? That's what I would do with all that fruit - yum

Daisy, it may be worth getting it valued properly. I would be quite wary about selling something very valuable on e-bay due to all the bloody scammers out there - especially if I had to send it via RM. If it is worth something, it may be worth putting in an auction. It'll be worth more when he's dead .

Fury. Inappropriate. Naughty naughty

DD shat in the bath tonight for the second time this week

I hate torchwood - mind you it means I can MN in the evening

Rialentless · 07/07/2009 21:09

I just don't understand it norty, but am watching, cos it's my living room too

LackaDAISYcal · 07/07/2009 21:43

I wouldn't ebay it Norty; it was a specialist bookseller site I was looking at.

I'm going to get it valued definately, and my dead architect book (the architect who designed the Scottish Parliament amongst other well known buildings)

I love Torchwood, but am struggling to follow this one.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/07/2009 21:49

OK, does anyone know whether you have to travel from the same station in order to use the 2 for 1 when you travel by train vouchers? I'm meeting my brother in London tomorrow, and we are thinking of going to the aquarium, but at £16 it's a bit ouch! I've printed a 2 for 1 voucher however, which makes it much more palatable, but will it matter that we've taken separate journeys from separate locations?

OP posts:
Rialentless · 07/07/2009 21:59

is the 2-4-1 linked to the trains

do walkers brit trips do the same offer? (you could rush out for multipack of crisps to get the points!)

they have missed so many one-liners tonight (I need to be a script writer). I have no idea what's happening either (though I never do) but if JB can get his arse out he sure does! is his daughter/sister related to the actress in Doc Martin? they have the same speech pattern/sentence structure when they speak. I have to confess (only to you guys, NOT DH) that I'm quite enjoying it.

Rialentless · 07/07/2009 22:00

sorry jammy, just re-read the first bit of your post

TheNatty · 07/07/2009 22:06

TheNatty · 07/07/2009 22:14

well... its a long long story.
started labour 1am, had him at 10.25am. started up at home, needless to say ended up in hospital, problems with heart rate, i tore really badly etc

to much to write now, i havent slept for 32 hours! but i pushed him out MYSELF without any help (other than midwife support)

he is perfect! breastfeeding started great, he feeds for half hour at a time on each boob, has had 4 full feeds already!

i PROMISE to write a full birth story and link it asap.

i am pleased, i think u could tell that from the pic

TheNatty · 07/07/2009 22:15
