June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

not that I'm aware of Norty, but there have been a few cases of it near to here.

lol ria at your wee joke

bumper, sounds lovely. Are you signed up with knitting daily? I get lots of links to free patterns, including lots of crochet ones. They are all american, but there are some nice patterns. And are you on ravelry.

I need to start knitting again; then maybe I would MN much less

Rialentless · 06/07/2009 22:01

there is a nice lady beings me the Methodist church newsletter (hope she doesn't peer over the fence at the empties stash) and it was in there. Must learn to crochet!

I don't think I will ever understand Torchwood

Sputnik · 06/07/2009 22:02

I have that second chance thing on all the stuff I've sold, it's for if you happen to have another one to sell, I think.
I've got a scrolly thing, I've got a scrolly thing!
It's hypnotic!

Hi Bumper, I ate my first home grown lettuce today too, and got some tomatoes need picking.

How are you feeling Daisy?

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 22:06

pretty rank sputnik.

I'm having a lemsip and them I'm off to bed, and praying that bumble sleeps AAAAALLLLLL night

night all.

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 22:12

scrolly thing?

Night Daisy.

If the winning biddler drops out, you can offer the next bidder down a second chance. Obviously if they have bought on a BIN, then there isn't anyone to offer it to.

You lot have insired me and I've put some bits up on e-bay myself tonight

Just been looking a tonights webchat with the Fonz.....he's 63 you know....good god I feel old!

Bumperlicious · 06/07/2009 22:13

Daisy, I've not heard of knitting daily, but I am on ravelry occasionally (under the name Andrina). I'm trying not to spend too much time on the pooter though. It's very draining and I get cross with myself for not doing something constructive like the Time Crossword or something equally worth

Any, homegrown veg is great. The allotment is coming on slowly though. DD hard to amuse even though we have a slide, seesaw, wheelbarrow etc. and God forbid if a flying insect comes near her

God, weaning norty - it seems really exciting doesn't it for about a week and then you very quickly get board of having to clean them up again though I guess you are doing it anyway with 2.

Right, switching off to go and read my Obama biography now (am I allowed to say it is a bit boring - I'm not a huge fan of biogs).

Night all, I'll be back soon - promise!

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 22:14

inspired me even

Cataline · 06/07/2009 22:17

Ladies - long time no see! (in an internetty chatty way of course!)
Though i'd say hello before having a read through and a catch up with you all!

Sputnik · 06/07/2009 22:18

Life is too short Bumper IMHO
I am ebaying like mad here! Scrolly thing = Auctiva

Rialentless · 06/07/2009 22:22

biog bumper - much respect. I read my DMs WOMAN mag from time to time

daisy - much love and hope you feel better tomorrow.

Sputnik · 06/07/2009 22:24

Yes, who were you Cat?

Rialentless · 06/07/2009 22:26

is it bad to still love the Fonz?

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 22:28

Ria - surely you are too young to remember Happy Days?

I, unfortunately, am not

Right off to bed - night all x

Rialentless · 06/07/2009 22:30

teatime on channel 4. "hey"...

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 06/07/2009 23:40

Is that Catkin?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/07/2009 06:12

Trust you lot to get chatty after I'd gone

Still, it's a good job I did go, meant a "dry spell" with DH got broken which will hopefully do us both the power of good. Things have been a little tense recently and not helped by me getting extremely tetchy/snappy with MIL at the wedding .

Homegrown does feel good doesn't it Bumper? (Good to see you btw.) We've had salad a couple of nights from the veg patch and have had loads of strawberries and loganberries Tomatos now starting to flower, peppers, chillis, courgette, pumpkin and squash still coming on.

OP posts:
Cataline · 07/07/2009 08:22

Yes, it's Catkin! Forgot i'd changed my name -sorry

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 08:58

hello Catkin/Cataline

Look, the mumsnet logo is now NCT'ed

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2009 09:47

I have a fucking great big spider in my dining room .

All my neighbours are out and DH got the arsehole cos I asked him to come home at lunchtime.

Pissing down otherwise I'd go out

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 09:54

put a bowl on it.

Spiders in this country are quite gentle souls really

LittleMissNorty · 07/07/2009 09:58

Its crawling along the wall - too high for me.

Is HUGE

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 10:06

ummmm

Hoover it up?

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 10:06

with an attachment?

Rialentless · 07/07/2009 10:22

can you get a tall glass and a big piece of card? (has to be a very tall glass for me so it can't come near me and I have to open the window first - can't cope with the squish factor!)

hi catkin, how's things. happy b'day to your DS.

HellHathNoFury · 07/07/2009 10:27

you ladies are funny

"That ain't a spider. THIS is a spider"
