June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

I have cleaned out my chest freezer today and chipped all the ice off. It was full to the brim before I started. Its now so low, I have to get on a step ladder to get to the food .

I'm by what I found in there...stuff from when I moved in (nearly 5 years ago).

HellHathNoFury · 06/07/2009 12:47

Norty the freezer stock rotation system not working well then?

I just bought a chest freezer, I am very excited, it arrives Thursday and next week I am going to costco to fill it to the brim or cheap eats ready for when we are a family of 4 and the IL's come to stay for 6 weeks.
Buggered if I am going to go shopping twice a week, it's bulk buy chicken kievs all the way, baby.

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 14:15

natty, don't they test for that in pregnancy? I'm sure it's one of the things that is tested for in your first round of blood tests. I know they test babies for it when they do the heel prick test.

Have you been tested for coeliac disease? One of my main symptoms was anaemia, but as my bowel symptoms were pretty non existent I was never tested until I was 35. It can be triggered by pregnancy as well; mine kicked off after I'd had DS.

The wedding was good fun but we are thinking very hard about the invitiation to the bride's brother's wedding next summer in the middle of France!

OK, will catch up properly soon, but glad you're hangin in Natty, sorry you've had so many BH etc, and well done on your trip out Norty!

I think I've got flu or tonsilitis as I have some white on one of my tonsils.

My sore throat has developed into earache, shivers, aching from head to toe (sore hair anyone???? ) and feeling sick.

I had to get DH home from work as I was falling asleep in charge of the DC and making not a lot of sense when my friend was here this afternoon. She thinks it's swine flu! I went back to bed for a bit so feel a bit better, but gawd I feel rough.

so DH with his cellulitis and me with flu added to grumpy children and it's fun and games here today

oh, and def not returning to work Natty . I am looking for some part time work though, just to get me out of the house and away from small children for a bit!!

Sputnik, clothes arrived this morning thank you . DS1 is jealous of the t-shirt, silly sausage

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/07/2009 17:07

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/07/2009 18:13

Not mean, Natty, not at all

Well Jamlet was good at the weekend, but travelling so long with her was a pain. We survived thanks to a couple of cbeebies/ITNG comics. And I'm much better thanks, but still got a tonne of ABs to get through - they gave me a long course. Look out for pics on FB later, btw.

def will do jammy
there will be a few extra of mine up soon as DH comes downstairs from the loo. (what DO men do on the toilet for so long??)
ellens new carrier came at the weekend, so i can stick her on my back now, which means for two weeks (or maybe less ) we are pushchair free.
glad it came so quick as wanted to get her used to losing her pram b4 the baby actually arrived so she felt less like the baby has 'taken' it iuswim

"A couple had been married for over 60 years. They had kept no secrets from each other except that she had a shoe-box that was 'her little surprise'.
"One day she became very ill and the doctor said she was unlikely to recover. As the husband sorted out their affairs he took the shoe-box to his wife's bedside. She agreed it was time for him to know about the box.
WWhen he opened it he foudn 2 crocheted dolls and a stack of money totalling almost £3000. 'When we were to be married' she told him, 'my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll'.
He had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls in over 60 years. 'Darling,' he said, 'that explains the dolls, but what about all this money? Where did it come from?'
"'Oh,' she said, 'That's the money I made from selling the dolls.'"

sorry you feel ill daisy.

Hello all

Just skimmed briefly, sorry for all the illnesses, and Holly, that's shit about your night out

Fury and Natty, hope you are both doing ok. Goodness it comes around fast doesn't it?

Same old same old here. Picked a courgette from my allotment tonight, and some lettuce for my lunch tomorrow

And I have crocheted some flowers onto a head band for a wedding I am going to. That's sounds so bunting cupcake doesn't it? I'm really not like that though. My house is a mess, I'm still struggling at work, and four days is too many, but I don't want to be a SAHM. What I want is one day off a week to spend by myself pottering!

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 21:35

need some ebay help.

someone has bought my pram on BIN, but hasn't paid yet....so far so good. In my list in MyEbay, it says:

I'm awaiting payment for 1 item and that 1 item I sold is elligible for a 2nd chance offer and that item is the pram.....eh?

is that because it hasn't been paid for yet?

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 21:48

Its not eligable Daisy cos someone has bought it on BIN - no-one to offer it to on a 2nd chance

Rialentless · 06/07/2009 21:51

does it maybe say that until it's paid, sent/collected and check-out is completed? Don't quite know what it means though!

Hi bumper. good for you if you are "bunting cupcake". I seem to have entered a level of scumminess I never thought possible (I was going to regimentalise clean out the bathroom cupboard tonight, but baggins just won't sleep)

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 21:51

Ria

hello Bumper and Fairy

Have you been in contact with anyone with swine flu Daisy? Hope you feel better soon ....and DH ....hope he doesn't go through all the doc / A&E visits again.

My little man had his first taste of solids today and he loved it. Nappy will be interesting tomorrow

LackaDAISYcal · 06/07/2009 21:51

that's what I thought....could it be because she hasn't paid yet? she has just offered cash on collection. That's good yes? saves any issues with chargebacks etc? she has very good feedback.

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 21:52

evenings aren't for housework Ria

Pics are lovely Jammy, but what a nightmare all that time in the car! I recommend in-car DVD players with DVDs of cBeebies

LittleMissNorty · 06/07/2009 21:53

Cash is always better as it saves on paypal fees
