June 2007 They're (almost all) two which makes them hard work in a whole new range of ways. But just as adorable!

Unable to sleep thought I'd see what had been going on and saw we were due a new thread. Hope this is OK?

That other dress was lovely Sputnik - thanks . Perfect for nursery days!

Hugs Natty.....I was a miserable cow for 9 months as well so I was told . Will soon be over! I remember you all saying that to me, but it really is the worst time of being pg. Especially with other DCs (and DHs).

My DS fights his sleep as well Daisy....perhaps its a boy thing?

Had a pizza made up in Asda today but I've scoffed too much of it!

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 22:08

DD was wearing a white dress with gold threads and sequins on it today. She has all these pretty dresses but we never go anywhere to wear them, so I thought why not! Especially as I've got a pile to list on ebay that she got last year and at Christmas that have been worn once or twice or not at all.

I have a bid on my big pram....99p so far

Sputnik · 04/07/2009 22:21

I came to that conclusion about "best" stuff. DD had a lovely monsoon dress my mum got her, she wore it a handful of times. I tried to list it on ebay the other day and couldn't actually bring myself to so it. Maybe I'll make a cushion cover or something out of it.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 22:25

making a cushion is a lovely idea Sputnik, as it's something that you and your DD will always have

I have a really sore throat; I hope I'm not getting HFM too!

Sputnik · 04/07/2009 22:27

That would be all you need.
I'm off, night

TheNatty · 05/07/2009 02:01

think im in labour guys...

hope to have news for u in the morning

TheNatty · 05/07/2009 02:58

live HB feed

TheNatty · 05/07/2009 04:49

false alarm.
contractions weak and not dialating so midwife gone back to hospital, im going to bed.

so frustrated, this hasnt happened b4, they were 2 mins apart and very strong at one point..

GAH!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2009 09:25

3rd ones always a bit tricksy Natty. Fingers crossed it'll happen soon as it would be better to have the baby either before DH's operation.

LittleMissNorty · 05/07/2009 09:28

Oh what a bugger Natty.....hope it happens soon for you x

TheNatty · 05/07/2009 09:45

very annoying. still having the odd one as well, i reckon its going to be like this for another week and will have baby as soon as DH goes under lmao!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2009 10:20

ah well, we have just emptied our piggy banks and although we found a couple of the new 20p pieces, we didn't find an undated one . Would have been lovely that!

Still there might still be one lurking in the bottom of a handbag or down to sofa

They are going for £200 on ebay, and I'm having a good laugh at all the obvious chancers

Ohforfoxsake · 05/07/2009 13:05

Sorry about your false-start Natty Are you actually at your due date yet? I found it really, really hard expecting DC3 to be on time as 1&2 were. She was 10 days late in the end. But that was nothing on DC4 who was 13 days late and had me thinking I was in labour every evening for two weeks prior!

You have my sympathies! Try to relax. Are the hospital supporting your HB then, or do you still have your independent MW?

Ohforfoxsake · 05/07/2009 13:13

on the plus side Natty, 3rd labour and birth was great, and 4th was a piece of piss after all those false starts, so although its enormously frustrating, its hopefully all doing some good

Sputnik · 05/07/2009 15:35

Oh how frustrating Natty!

TheNatty · 05/07/2009 17:00

hospital "allowing" me a HB, even tho EVERY midwife i see says "you know we dont recommend a homebirth.. blah blah blah"

due date is 16th, so week on thursday. i would rather he was late so DH has had his op just cos i dont fancy three kids on my own for 4 days and nights so soon after having him.

but like i said, more then likely it will happen next weekend when dh in surgery cos i am unlucky like that

LackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2009 18:47

DH has another bout of cellulitis after getting bitten again ; this time on his hip and has spent the afternoon sleeping. Poor thing; he is on a right state wondering if this is going to happen every time he gets bitten (which is a LOT as he is particularly tasy to all things small and six legged)

Ohforfoxsake · 05/07/2009 19:40

oh no Natty! Babies have a great way of staying put until the best time. Honestly. My HBs have all happened when I've been able to 'let' them, and when DP isn't off somewhere.

Positive thinking Natty!!!

Actually it is far less upheaval to have a HB anyway, so it will be for the best however it happens.

Though I would be tempted to book a Tesco on line delivery for when DH is in hospital. You can change the day up to 4am the day of delivery, so you could continually push it back just incase you go into labour and have run out of milk and bread. Not sure if that is a bit odd of me, but I'd lie awake at night worrying I'd be home alone, in labour with the kids whining for breakfast.

It is odd, isn't it?

Ohforfoxsake · 05/07/2009 19:42

That sounds nasty Daisy Hope he is OK>

Blimey, if its not one thing its another.

I should be relieved that the tennis is done, but no respite here. Moving straight onto the next thing, no break at all. I am really rather fucking bored of being a single parent. It must be someone else's turn to empty the kitchen bin, surely?

HellHathNoFury · 05/07/2009 20:16

Hi All,

I haven't really caught up as I have been busy, but I saw you had a false alarm Natty, how frustrating for you.

I am due Aug 21st but I reckon knowing me I'll give birth early October sometime after another 70+ hour labour.

I did the shopping at sainsbos when I was in labour last time. It was fine only driving was a bit...difficult.

1 minute contractions every 6 minutes for 60 odd hours IIRC. Sweet.

I had a BBQ here today, it was nice but entertaining for 6 a bit much for me atm I think. Still nice though.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/07/2009 21:36

Evening all!

What a great tennis match! I really wanted Roddick to win , I nearly cried. He looked so forlorn!

Natty, hope you are feeling well after your false alarm hell. Hope the next time you go in labour you get a baby at the end of it!

It must be really tough being on your own so often foxy. The kids do my head in and there is two of us here all the time! You are super mum!

I am feeling really and . It is a friend of mine's birthday today and a friend of hers whom I vaguely know text me yesterday and asked if I could come out for a meal to celebrate tonight. I said no as I couldn't get there. She said she would arrange for someone to pick me up at 7.30. So I get ready, posh clothes, full make up and blow dried hair (!) for 7. It gets to half past and no-one has turned up...8, still nothing, 8.30 I think fuck it and pour myself a glass of wine and put my pjs on! I sent her a text, but have still heard nothing. I feel really upset. I haven't been out for 6 months (and that was just the NCT agm) and none of my old friends bother with me anymore. I just wanted to be a person for a couple of hours and not just mum. Oh well.

Rialentless · 05/07/2009 21:39

phew, lost you off threads I'm on

just bookmarking to catch up later.

Sputnik · 05/07/2009 21:52

Bummer Holly
I'm trying to remember the last time I went "out" (other than pizza or whatever). I can't.
At least your hair looks nice.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/07/2009 21:58

It does look quite nice actually! It is so long now that I can't brush it myself. My arm isn't long enough to reach the end!! Trouble is it looks lovely when it is blow dried and straightened, but generally I just tie it in a messy bun as I can't be doing with the agro!

I might get another glass of wine now! I really fancy a fag though!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/07/2009 22:03

aw holly I hate it when people let me down like that. I would be furious though, especially as it was her that contacted you in the first place.

and aw foxy as well.....isn't there a bit of respite with sporting things in the summer?

I missed the end of the match as DH had made tea and we were expecting it to have been finished by the time we sat down (should have known)....i take it the snooty one won then? I wanted Roddick to win as well.

dropped off threads I'm on Ria...how is that humanly possible?

blooming heck fury, entertaining, in your condition and this heat...much respect!!!

I have spent the afternoon sorting through all DD's baby clothes (getting weepy and nostalgic ) and deciding what I'm going to sell and what was going to friends/charity shop. Our neighbours had a little girl about a month ago, and I'd said I had a few bits.....I think she was a bit gobsmacked when DH turned up on the doorstep with six carrier bags of clothes and stuff!!! And I passed everything onto her saying anything you don't want feel free to pass on to someone or give to the charity shop, thereby circumventing a trip to the charity shop myself . Unfortunately I still have two large suitcases full of stuff to list on ebay and most of it is very crumpled and in need of an iron before I can take photos of it....bugger.
