Morning.
M has grown. All of a sudden. Dh and I looked at him this morning and both said 'hasn't he got big all of a sudden'.
Unlike you poor ladies, he hasn't had any trouble sleeping, during this heat. Down quickly and sleeping all night. Actually he did wake up for a feed at 1.30 am last night, but that was the first for a long time.
Hope the rain, thunder and lightning that we had, has lifted the muggy'ness.

LadyBuzz · 03/07/2009 08:31

I bought some rompers yesterday, J looks lush in them esp the hooded stripy towelling one

Daisy hope your LOs don't suffer for too long.

ceebee no you have every right to pull the childcare card. it is a valid reason and if your manager agreed then that is a good thing.

We spent a lovely afternoon in the park, DS1 and his little friend were runing about like loons and J sat happily in the shade and played.

Have to clean today - grrr, DS1 got some bath crayons for his bday and I have a technicolour bath and the car needs to be emptied as we are getting the new one in the morning

coolkat · 03/07/2009 08:55

Morning

Well it is cooler here today with rain and grey clouds but being as the garden needs it so much and my ironing pile is through the roof I do not mind!

Pinky Becca to only had nappy on last night and kicked her sheet off. She took ages to settle, infact fell asleep down here on me in the end as I did not want her getting to hot!

As long as thunder stays away I don't care!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 09:12

DD much better this morning and her blisters are statring to go down already. Bumble seems a bit better, but DD had a couple of days of relative wellness between the fever and the spots so we'll see. fingers crossed it was just a combination of the heat and teething with him.

I am such a hopeless case . Now that I have decided to keep on with real nappies and loving pockets, I'm desperate to buy MORE (bumble has been living ion pocket nappies and a tshirt this week and getting lots of comments about it), even though I've ordered some new wraps to go over my shaped terries!!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 17:32

are you all off chatting elsewhere?

coolkat · 03/07/2009 17:45

Think they have left us Daisy! Becca ben a delight today but how long will it last. . .

Daisy I got tickets to Ice Age thanks to your link! Don't think will take Becca as would be a nightmare!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2009 17:49

Just realised everyone will be watching the tennis.

I've had it on in the background but need to start paying attention now as it's getting veeeery interesting.

DS1 and I are off up early to Sheffield tomorrow morning. I'm wondering whether or not to take DD or if she is too young?

ellielou02 · 03/07/2009 19:46

OMG that birth on corrie was amazing no cord or anything!

juanitad · 03/07/2009 20:08

And not a drop of blood and it took about 2 bloody minutes. Yeah right!!

OP posts:
chocolategal · 03/07/2009 20:50

Now that's the kind of birth I want! Lol.

Yep was watching the tennis, poor Murray.

Glad DD is better daisy
Enjoy the cinema coolkat

cloth nappy users, I'm thinking about trying it as we seem to be going through disposables at a rate of naughts and I think they are chaffing DS's skin a bit where his eczema is already sore.
Is there a company that does a trial set? I am a COMPLETE novice as far as this is concerned!!

ellielou02 · 03/07/2009 22:03

chocgal have just text you

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 00:33

oh, and I think I will give the BG and fuzzibinz a miss as I am coming into some nappies courtesy of m and b

ellielou02 · 04/07/2009 08:15

daisy were you in M & B last year doing a trial?

tegan · 04/07/2009 08:19

Hello all

I am really pleased with the result but in the back of my mind i had a twinge of how nice it would be to have another, it is just so unrealistic.

I too have some rompers but O is still going to bed in a sleepsuit and some nights he is still in his sleeping bag too.

Does anyone know the name of the M&P buggy where the handle flips over to make it rear facing, my friend has one for sale for £15 but i wanrted to see the specifics on there website first.

Oblomov · 04/07/2009 09:54

M is on the move. Put him down, popped to the kitchen, back I came and he had moved from one end of our 20 ft lounge to the other. Now that is fast !! Speedily Gonzalez is doing a reversing shuffle. Highly effective.
I was wondering. If he is so effective going backwards, he might not learn to crawl forwards, for some time, right ?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 14:32

I did twin pushchairs for them at the beginning of the year ellie, but not sure what issue it was in.

I'm also doing some other bits for the M and B awards this year, but can't talk specifics!

Just back from Sheffield and the Ice Age showing from that thread yesterday with a nice rucsac full of toys! The DC are made up and DS1 has promised never to complain about me MNing ever again

coolkat · 04/07/2009 19:13

I have had a lovely day, DH now gone to work and I am about to relax Iron

Took DD1 nand her friend to see Ice age as we got free tickets and had an amazing time.

Left Becca with MIL and they both seemed to have enjoyed it, I did miss her though

Been trying to be good this week and lost 1lb so feel quite pleased, 2lbs to go and if I could have a boob reduction I would feel much happier, even when I finish BF I bet my boobies stay huge. I hate seeing everyone in little strappy tops and I can't wear them due to needing massice bra straps.
Going shopping on Monday with DH as he needs new trainers for our hols in July, I am dreading it as I would like to have a leisurely look round but men don't get that do they!

Hope your all having good weekends.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 19:22

coolkat, you need to get a couple of THESE. My norks are vast and enormous but are well reined in and comfortable in these tops, which don't look like BFing tops and will be serviceable even after BFing is over. I have been living in them this last week.

bumble has started waking up and being inconsolable about half an hour after he first goes to sleep and then not wanting to settle for another couple of hours.....not sure why or how to deal with it.

coolkat · 04/07/2009 19:30

Daisy can I ask you a question about them without seeming rude is the material around the tummy fitted to non pregnancy figures its just I have some similar and I accept they have no where near the support but they are really really baggy everywhere else and seem more maternity than for mothers who have had their babies IYSWIM. Please don't think I am being rude.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 20:21

lol coolkat, no offense taken

they are long and the website says suitable for pregnancy and BFing so I can see where you are coming from! But, the material is lovely and thick and quite figure hugging. Although I wear a 34H bra size, I tried on the 34 and could hardly get it on and my boobs were what I can only describe as spilling out of the top. I'm a 16 though, so ordered the 38 in the biggest cup size and it gives me a lovely shape for a bra top and still manages to hold my wobbly bits in.

Most places that sell them online will be happy to swap or refund if they don't fit

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 20:23

but then again, I am a little round ball on legs at the minute; maybe if I was more svelt they wouldn't hug my figure quite so much?

coolkat · 04/07/2009 20:35

Your not a round ball you muppett, don't forget I have met you!

Bored DH at work, ironing done. Gonna wash up then watch casualty! Living life in the fast lane me!!!

ellielou02 · 04/07/2009 20:42

obs Millie is on the move too, she cant quite sit up yet but man she can roll fast and does the bumshuffle on her back well its more like the head shuffle lol.
daisy I saw someone in M&B testing nappies last year and they rated the flexitots the best and it was when they were just bringing them out, I wondered if it was you but cant of been
I think DD1 is playing musical bumps in her bedroom, it sounds like it anyway lol.
I got a lovely maxi dress today it will prob rain tomorrow now

LackaDAISYcal · 04/07/2009 20:58

This afternoon I sat and watched bumble work the living floor by rolling and moving in a circle and then rolling again.....he was lying in front of the TV at one point and managed to switch the DVD player on with his feet

ellie, I tested them for last years M&B awards. I had five of them but sold them to my BF when I was in my cloth despair....I'm really regretting it now as they are fab nappies.

twinklingfairy · 04/07/2009 21:18

Just a quick message, my computer hard drive is about to die I don't know what this means but I hope it is not truly fatal, how will I cope! My big bro says it should not be too bad, really hope not. But anyway, I must say a very quick Thank You to daisy!!
Got my nappies the other day, am totally in love with my new wraps!! And those lolipop softees are just so gorgeous, Js bum is so soft a squidgy in them
