So jealous of all you ladies who can meet up, it must be so much nicer to be able to put faces to screen names.

I think we had a better night last night too.
Everytime I fed J he would pop himself off and flop onto his back to sleep.
We also managed to skip the 1030-11pm feed and I didn't feed him till 1230ish! Yeah. And that was with shooshing him and even removing his dummy for that hour.
Trying to teach him that he can sleep without suking n anything.
Snooze this morning is also without a dummy and I have just shooshed him back to sleep cos he had woken before an hour was up.
My book says anything less tan 45-60mins is just a snooze, not a nap, so doesn't really count.
What with him only getting the one hour and a couple of brief snoozes yesterday I am really keen that he gets some proper sleep today.

But what a morning
Does anyone elses LOs just shout and shout at them for an hour every morning?
Mine does whilst DD and I try to get dressed.
( an hour cos it is during the time we take to get dressed, then whilst he gets dressed and then after we are all dressed cos he won't take a feed or anything, he is just so over tired by that point!)
Today it just got to me, I was so frustrated and cross again
I hate that I feel that way, I am normally so calm, but I think it is just cos I am so tired and fed up with it. But all the same, I am ashamed.
He just wanted cuddling to sleep but I just couldn't!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 12:54

twinkling, ime if they sleep well in the day they generally sleep better at night as well. I think this is partly bumble's problem as well as he only has about 20 mins in the monring and an hour in the afternoon. Wish I could get him sleeping better....and also wishing I hadn't given away my GF book !!!

Can anyone post the routines for an 8mo old BF baby?

twinklingfairy · 17/06/2009 13:05

Yeah, thats what I had heard too which was why I was so upset about his lack of sleep yesterday. Thinking that I was set up for an awful night becasue of it.
Am feeling good now that he has had nearly 2 hours already. ok it was interuppted, I had to go up to him twice, but still, a pretty good start to the day, I think

PinkyMinxy · 17/06/2009 13:24

Glad you had a better night, Twinkling and Daisy.

Trip to Harrogate sounds lovely

Really wet day here- it hasn't stopped raining all day!

I have actually manged to put al the laundry away, which is a result!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 14:02

well done on the laundry Pinky...I have been trying to put two baskets of the stuff away since last week and haven't managed it yet! But, I've moved bumble's cot into the bedroom he will share with DD and both of them are asleep so no excuses really.

I'm bolstering myself with delicious gluten free cake that my friend bought for me yesterday and a coffee before getting going.

PinkyMinxy · 17/06/2009 14:07

ooh cake. Quite fancy some cake.

coolkat · 17/06/2009 14:09

Bet feels good having done all of the laundry Pinky?

I am sat here with a coffee whilst Becca is asleep. She has a rash on her tummy and back but no temp so I feel relaxed about it Can they get a rash with teething?

Went to sports day and thank goodness they cancelled it at the last minute! Its pouring with rain here now!

My eye is itchy!

Twink were I am having really bad nights to which is why I am so run down. Don't think your on your own flower X Hoping tonight is better for us all that are suffering. X

chocolategal · 17/06/2009 14:45

Hi ladies
Seems to be a few of us still struggling at nights. Let's hope it passes soon.

daisy just dug out my gf book
Routine for baby at 6-9 months
Feed times: 7am,11.45am,2.30pm,5pm & 6.30pm
Naps: 9-9.30/45am, 12.30-2.30
Max daily sleep 3hours.

I've just read the whole routine & it's utterly depressed me!

phee96 · 17/06/2009 19:33

Just popping in to say a quick 'hi' to everyone.

Choc that thread was hilarious, cheered me right up

Songs Ava loves 'Zoom Zoom', especially when DH does it and he puts her over his head on the 'blast off' part. She grabs hold of the back of the settee then he pretends he can't pull her off, makes her giggle everytime. Oh, and the Direct Line adverts - strange child!

Right, just waiting for DH to get back then I'm off to bed as I am knackered. In fact, I don't think I've felt this exhausted since, oh about March 2008

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 20:41

thanks for that chocgal

Fin's routine os more like:

Feed times: 7am,9am, 4.30pm, 7pm, 11.30pm, 3am, 5am, 7am
Naps: 9-9.30, 1.30-3.00
Max daily sleep 2hours.

How to get it sorted I just don't know.

First night of him sharing a room with DD......she is still shouting her head off and he is sitting at my feet watching Celebrity Masterchef

PinkyMinxy · 17/06/2009 20:49

Ha ha Coolkat. oh the irony. I have just put the nappies on to wash and then I have a load of towels (after a misjudged potty incident ) and then mine and DH's laundry basket is full. It is never ending. Still, getting the decks cleared midweek is a big improvement.

I hope you eye is getting better.

Daisy- are you little ones asleep yet?

Phee- what are you telling us?? Spill, please

Off to find choc's thread.

Ceebee74 · 17/06/2009 20:54

Ooh Pinky I had completely missed that in Phee's post - was obviously too subtle for me

Phee come back and spill asap

Daisy lol at Bumble watching Celebrity Masterchef - that boy likes his food doesn't he?

I HATE my washing basket - it is like the bl**dy magic porridge pot!! I just about get it cleared when DH is away and then he comes back with 3 days of washing and it just ends up full again

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 21:02

OMG Phee.....you can't post and run things like that...

Bumble is STILL awake...aaaarrrrgggggghhhhhhh.

coolkat · 17/06/2009 21:05

Its all the food he is eating Daisy, he has got energy to burn!

I struggle to keep Becca awake after 6, she gets really mardy and I have to drag getting PJ's on for as long as possible. Just a shame she looses the want to sleep at 2 in the morning!

PHEE COME BACK We can keep secrets!

coolkat · 17/06/2009 21:07

Aham look at the threads that Phee has been on!

Phee you little tinker you

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 21:10

are you stalking her coolkat?

coolkat · 17/06/2009 21:11

Nah but I always wanted to be a copper police office!
D ya think I'd be good

coolkat · 17/06/2009 21:11

OFFICER- Der

twinklingfairy · 17/06/2009 21:13

OMG!!!
a BFP!!
phee you devil!

phee96 · 17/06/2009 21:15

Sorry, I didn't run. DH not back, so had a nap until some kids woke A up.

Yup, I'm pregnant again, but only 4 weeks so we haven't told anyone in RL. I had to say something though as I'm going to burst if I don't Got a BFP last night, I don't think the reality has really hit

Sorry for being so vague, I don't think that was very fair considering most of us are sleep deprived.

Am loving the idea of Bumble watching Celebrity Masterchef

Pinky Our basket is always full too even though A has her own. DH's bright idea is just to get a bigger basket

coolkat · 17/06/2009 21:17

Oh Phee congrats, no wonder your tired. I missed your hint, clever Pinky.

Ceebee74 · 17/06/2009 21:18

Phee wow congratulations!! That is so fab! (and it wasn't vague - I was just too thick to pick up on your hint - I was sat there trying to work out what was so special about March 2008 -duh!!)

I knew someone would be pg soon - so what will that be - a 16 month age gap??

PinkyMinxy · 17/06/2009 21:22

Phee congratulations! The age gap is very much like my DC ans it's fab.

Bumble go to beddy darling.

Choc that thread was v.funny

Glad it's not just me with overactive laundry basket.

phee96 · 17/06/2009 21:23

Thank you

I worked out a due date of 20/02/10 so A will be almost 15 months (1 on 30/11/09)

LackaDAISYcal · 17/06/2009 21:25

Congratulations Phee

"wanna buy a double buggy? eh? eh?"
