Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

at the weather....tis dull and cold here.

dozy, poor you . I hope you're back to full strength soon and that you get that operation soon.

bumble hasn't slept since he got up at 7am! He is being very high maintenance as well....not sure if he has poorliness or teething going on or not, so gave him calpol in desperation and he has miraculously cheered up.....now to get him to go to sleep for a few hours.

I am another angry PND person, that's why I didn't recognise it as PND at first. It's nice to know I'm not alone

We're off to Wales for a week on Monday, I'm trying to write a list...

I am bored! Going to feed Rebecca, put her in her cot and then do the ironing how dull....

Honeymoonmummy · 10/04/2009 12:59

No Daisy, I've been referred for counselling but it can take 8 weeks. And I've just started "listening visits" with the HV.

Rosa · 10/04/2009 13:08

Hope I did not offend with my post it seemed a bit critical re weaning as she is not interested mind you she ate at 7 and then at 9.30 so maybe we are on the way to milk not being enough ! I also agree with the entertainlg nothing seems to keep her satisfied for longer than a minute. She hates her chair that has a gym strung over it . The baby gym is ok I prop her up with the bf cushion and she seems happier could do with a bumbo but they are £45 here - we will do without !
Dozy hope all the meds work you poor thing
Emmanj- oh well next time eh ???? ( count me out of another baby Minirosa was the last - I am broody though would love another but we just can't justify it !).
I was conned by dd1 today age 3 in the shoe shop we ended up with a pair of trainers - what I wanted and Lelly kelly !!!!!!!!! Needless to say she wore the Lelly Kelly home to be honest I am wondering why I bought the traiiners as I bet I will not be abl eto get her into them !

Ceebee74 · 10/04/2009 13:32

emmanj glad you got the result that you wanted - must be a huge weight off your mind

Daisy weather is crap here aswell - grey and miserable...typical bank holiday weather Hope Bumble is asleep now!

Coolkat meet up is going to be a week on Monday 20th) and will probably be somewhere near to Meadowhall - the plan is to go to a soft play place so the older siblings are entertained whilst we drink copious amounts of coffee Do you think you can make it?

DS1 slept all night quite happily in his new bedroom so I am just about to go and sort out his old one to make it fit for Sam tonight. Although ideally we would have liked to wait until Sam was 6 months (like we did with DS1), Sam is getting too big for the crib and we keep finding him in really strange positions, usually with at least one leg hanging out of the side and him screaming cos he is stuck!

Right, Dh has taken DS1 to Sainsburys to do the weekly shop and I need to go and have a shower as I have just done a step class - twas fab!!

x

LackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2009 13:40

no such luck. I'm having a really hard time of things at the minute....feel very anxious and uptight and have already exploded at DS1 today

bumble only slept for half an hour before he was woken up by DD squealing.

OP posts:
Rosa · 10/04/2009 13:50

I exploded at Dh as well today he had to make an important ( NOT) phone call- Lunch almost ready mrsa screaming in afore mentioned chair. DH pushed dd out of room and shut the door - on her fingers . Me juggling pasta screaming baby , and dd . Abandoned the pasta and then he said it was overcooked ...............
I must do something constructive ...

coolkat · 10/04/2009 14:39

CeeBee I am seriously thinking about coming up for the day. I think DH may be at work that day though so I may look at getting someone else to pick DD1 up from school.

If someone can get me a post code I can look on sat nav. x

LackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2009 15:26

coolkat, it would be fab to meet you

DD asleep, DS1 doing art and bumble has had a nap and is seemingly a lot happier....my stress levels have calmed down a bit thankfully. Why do I find this parenting lark sooo hard?

Oblomov · 10/04/2009 16:11

Afternoon. Piing it down with rain here = typical Easter weekend weather, as ceebee said. may not car boot if this carries on.
Glad emmaj got the result she wanted.
Glad to see Dozy home.
I guess, I must be an "angry PND'er " aswell. ???
Yet had 3 GP's say that I am NOT depressed. They think I have every reason to be struggling. They all think I am justified in how I feel. Even the one that gave me the ad's said that aswell. SO what do you make of that then ?

Who wants to play scrabble with me. I am only playing: Monkey and Daisy, who both constantly thrash me and I have had enough of that.
And LadyBuzz, who I love playing. Anyone else want to play me ? Don't apply if you are any good !!

Honeymoonmummy · 10/04/2009 17:26

Ooh rosa I would be fuming too! My DH took a rare turn to get Poppy off in the middle of the night last night, today all I've heard is "i'm tired" and "I was up between 4 and 6 last night" WELCOME TO MY WORLD!!!!

LadyBuzz · 10/04/2009 18:28

Honeymoonmummy · 10/04/2009 18:33

I've just sent you a request Ladybuzz

LadyBuzz · 10/04/2009 18:48

Honeymoonmummy yes it was me

barbareebaa · 10/04/2009 19:45

Hello!

Ladybuzz have just sent you a friend request on Facebook - hope thats OK. If anyone would like to be my friend, search for Barbara Anne Shaw and it's a picture of William.

Daisy William's a bit like bumble today, wouldn't nap, really cranky, also resorted to Calpol thinking that it might be an unknown discomfort or pain, and he slept for 2 hrs.

Dozy Sorry to hear about your tonsilitis again Hope you feel better soon.

Hope you're all enjoying the Easter weekend!

Rosa · 10/04/2009 19:49

Barbs went for a gelato today with dds. Talking to a friend she said she did the same with a chocolate pudding and her ds came out in spots and on his bum - I think by the sound of things she gave more than a fingerful !
DD cream crackered as the step fell off the bee she had no option but to walk 3 bridges, ( which she does anyway) lots of walking and then 40 steps to the house later -Mummy my legs are tired !
Scrabble ...mmmmmmm I don't know if I dare as my spelling is cr*p.
Daisy hope all your dcs are asleep now !!
DH currently trying to put the step back on the bee as he is working all day sat and If its nice I want to be out - will rain now !

MerryMarigold · 10/04/2009 20:13

rosa LELLY KELLY! . Me and ds1 shout YUCK when the LK adverts come on telly, in an effort to brainwash dd (5months) [Also to all Barbie, Bratz, My Little Pony and Baby Alive]. We'll see...she'll probably be a right little Barbie Girl and get her revenge on me...

Dozy, Get well soon and get them tonsils OUT asap.

Oooh, a lot of us ANGRY PEOPLE out there. Makes me feel better in a way. I wish I was a crying sort of depressed person as it is much easier for other people to relate to and feel sorry for than you shouting in face. Had a bit of a meltdown at dh this morning, when ds1 was there. Feel bad about that. I was actually crying and just gave dh the baby and said I had to get out. [Ds1 saying, "Where are you going mummy?" ]. Dh has been criticising me since he came home last night and I had had enough. Anyway, it stopped all the criticism.

ceebee we're trying to sort babies room out this w/e too. Well basically get beds out and cots in. Sorry no nice little pictures or anything for them, but maybe when they are older and actually care I will do something with it.

chocolategal · 10/04/2009 20:29

Evening everyone

Well i survived ikea on the bank holiday! Wont be rushing to do it again tho!

Cant wait to see what all the "new" people look like on facebook.

How you feeling daisy? Sorry you feel parenting is hard just now, i for one look up to you and your wealth of knowledge, always there to offer advice, support etc. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Merry hope your day improved too.

PinkyMinxy · 10/04/2009 20:39

Hi all
Sorry to hear people are depressed. I get a bit depressed freom time to time. I have some problems with anger too but thet are to do with self-esteem and, as my therapsit desrcibed to me, my three different types of anixety that I suffer from. One of which is a permanent floating anxiety, another is centered around triggers - subconscious things from my childhood, and the other is mummy -baby anxiety- the sort of sweaty panicky thing you get when the baby cries, and that is subsiding as mimi grows, and is quite normal.

The dark thoughts I get are of harming myself (getting rid of myself, basically), which are to do with my childhood, not the PND type thoughts. But if anyone wants to talk about anxiety I am on FB and happy to talk.

rUTHO I find self-talk is the very best way of dealing with immediate anxiety/rage etc. Instead of telling myself I'm rubbish and can't do something, I make a conscious effort to tell myself how well I am doing and how I have got through these things before etc. It really works. And not swearing is a very good habit to get into, as your little Fin will be copying you before you know it. We usually concentrate on naming the action, not blaming the person, but nobody's perfect. Last week DH said DS was a pain in the bum and for days afterwards just about everybody and everything was a 'pain in the bum' according to DS! Lessson learned there!

Had a fabby day today- went to the safari park and the DC's loved it! DD1especially thought the camels were very funny.

ChocOrange05 · 10/04/2009 20:48

vbab if you accept me as a friend on facebook I can invite you to join our group. I have sent you a friend request.

Just driven all the way up norf to Cumbria to see DH's family for Easter - left at 9am with 2 stops to feed M and see some friends and arrived at 6.30pm - M was a star in the car amusing himself for most of the journey apart from one crying spell. He has also gone to bed like an angel even though he is in his travel cot in a new place. I am so proud of my lovely little man!!

Sorry I am not catching up anymore - am knackered after the mammouth journey so off to drink wine (but not too much after advice from emmanj!! )

Emmanj · 10/04/2009 20:55

Evening all,

well done for surviving Ikea chocolategal, anmd i echo what you sadi about daisy*, always there to offer advice and a friendly word - hope your feeling better.

scrabble...better not...im sure youve all noticed my lame spelling (blames typos!!)

safari park sounds cool pinky!

merry - sometimes a meltdown is what it takes to clear the air and get through to DH's!!

also would like to join the meet up but its deff too far, other side of the country to me i think! any meetings down south?

LackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2009 20:55

honeymoon, i hope I've just sent you a friend request on FB.....otherwise one of Ladybuzz's friends has had a random request from a nutter

DS1 is still up but watching a vid with his Dad. That was a hard day; I feel utterly drained. I am dreading bumble needing a feed tonight. I just want to go to sleep and wake up on Sunday!!

Pinky, I often have dark thoughts as well; very scary. And a lot of my blowing a fuse is ue to panic attacks and anxiety.....which I know I pass onto the DC and then they get all panicky as well

I have cheered mysefl up by buying some new nappies.
