Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

choc don't be fooled, this house is 12 miles out of cambs, which means dp would have to get a moterbike to commute to work! For that price in cambs you'd end up with a scummy one bed studio flat. That's why we want to move so far out. Actualy i am very surpised the house is priced as it is, seems like it should be much more, i'm preparing myself for some serious redecoration! If we go for it tho, we'd be offering quite a bit less, so i'm kinda hoping there is a catch or it needs work
daisy I hope you get hol of drswife. Did you find me on FB?

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 17:24

Thanks Choc

And talking of chocolate.....I was in Sainsbury's earlier, and they are selling off Lindt gold bunnies (both milk and dark chocolate) for £1 each!!!

I bought 3 in the hope that they will multiply like real bunnies

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 17:40

emergency over...the offending article has been snorted out!

I did jaunita, and I'm on duty in my capacity as a peer supporter from 12 - 4 tomorrow Are you going?

oh my goodness daisy, thank goodness it's all resolved now!! For the record if it happens again I'd say hospital. When i was about 3 I stuck a green chuncky crayon up my nose. It refused to come out. I had to walk through town (mum couldn't drive) with what looked like a green bogy the size of a cucumber hanging out my nose. I still feel the shame.

ChocOrange05 · 17/04/2009 17:52

LOL at LO's sticking stuff up their noses - what I wonder, is the attraction in that?!?!

juanitad · 17/04/2009 17:52

Just found out about it today, but will definitely be going so will look out for you.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 18:06

lol at cucumber bogies!

I was feeding bumble and she was doing her usual "look at me" thing that she has started doing whenever he is getting all the attention.....she found it under the sofa and was on the other side of the room so I couldn't get to her.....she pretended to eat it and then pretended to stick it up her nose. I told her not to be silly.....so up the nose it went, then she took it out again and when I told her she was silly and shwe was lucky it didn't get stuck, up it went again, and was prodded up good and hard that time. I couldn't even see it when I looked up there.

thank goodness it came out though; twice in one week at A&E is definately one time too many!

I'll definately see you tomorrow then juanita. We're in the foyer so you can't miss us! The director of our peer support group has organised the fashion show as well...she was looking for volunteers to model maternity clothes, fake bump provided and everything!!

and excitement here; I (and of course my glamourous assistant bumble) may be taking part in an NHS video about BFing which will be shown to pregnant mums all over Leeds. We'll be filmed feeding probably and then I'll be talking about the fact I didn't BF DS1 but went on to BF two further children. Do you think it'll be my big acting break? . I'm waiting to hear back from the production company.

cucumber bogies WTF?!!! I will never, ever look at a cumcumber the same way again, that make me haeve for some reason....(and no I am not PG!)

Speaking of which, let's talk about rice and cheese or in fact cheesy rice...I for one, couldn't even bear to think about it and had a girl.......

let's do a quick poll on whether or not our aversion/love of cheesy rice indicated the sex of our Lo's...

Wow loads of chat today!

HATED THE THOUGHT OF IT

Ceebee - had a boy

Had a lovely day today - did 2 classes at the gym this morning , went to Sainsburys to do the weekly shop then me and Sam have been lounging around at home for the rest of the afternoon enjoying the sunshine

DS1 went to bed at 6.30 tonight as he was so exhausted that he could barely keep his eyes open - I am so worried this means he will get up an hour earlier tomorrow (in his case this would be about 5am-ish - eek!)

But me, DH and Sam had a lovely, very calm bathtime - reminded me of the early days with DS1 when there was no backchat, tantrums or 'no'

Daisy glad the offending bead reappeared - these toddlers really know when to pick their moments don't they? DS1 had a poo when he got home from nursery - normally he is happy to sit in a dirty nappy until me or DH can be bothered to change it and as it was so close to bathtime, we weren't going to bother. But the moment I took Sam upstairs to put him his cot for a very short catnap before bath, DS1 decided he HAD to have his nappy changed and it HAD to be upstairs....3 guesses where the changing mat is??

Erm....cheesy rice? Am I missing something?

Serendippity Lovely house, am very . Sorry about the cyst, hope the op comes soon for you.

DS2 fell over today when we were out and cracked his nose off the pavement. A we were only "popping" to the shops, I never had any wipes with me and forgot to take tissues. He had a huge nosebleed and I had to knock on someones front door and ask them for some tissues. Poor thing was screaming his head off! Nightmare, as I had an extra kid with me as well.

lol Dozy love the survey

Daisy- phew for the bead. Little minkey!

Ok so I'm not that cruddy! I have been setting myself little challenges to combat my anxiety. I took all three DC on the bus with me inot the centre of manchester. We had a picnic then went on the big wheel (it was a beautiful day) then to Paperchase, as I have a major weakness for their lovely picnic-ware
Then we went to Kendals (House of Fraser) to watch the fish at the creme de la mer counter, and to play witht the big Thomas set on the Hamleys floor. Only to find the Hamleys is closing tomorrow . It was quite sad to see my DD1 hugging the legs of the giant cuddly Giraffe amidst the desolation of another closed toy store. It was so sad when Daisy and Tom went- that was a fabulous shop. ANyhoo, we had missed the bargains, but managed to get some bubbleguns and a Pontipine piano at 70% off.

Then I went and splurged a bit on soen outfits for the DC from the Polarn O Pyret concession love that shop.

Anyhoo,we had a fabby day, buses, big wheel, sadly no trams, but I feel quite good about it all.

Sorry to go on.

Any hoo- suiledonn- at least she went to sleep in the bed. I think a few nights of just popping her back in bed might do the trick! I yend to say to my DC that I love it when they come in in the morning for a cuddle, and that way they know they are welcome to come in, and when. Works most of the time.

Serendipity that's a lot of house for the money!

Pinky very that Hamleys is closing . I love that shop whenever I come to Manchester - I can't believe it is going.

5inthebed · 17/04/2009 21:05

Sumo was an onion bhaji craving. So much so he was known at work as the bhaji baby

Pinky sounds like a fab day out! about Hamleys
