Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

HATED THE THOUGHT OF IT

Dozymare - had a girl
Chocolategal - had a boy
Oblomov - had a boy
Tegan - had a boy
hanaflower - had a boy

LOVED THE THOUGHT OF IT

Ceebee - had a boy
juanitad - had a boy
pinkyminxy- had a girl
daisy - had a boy

My pregnancies have been savoury/sweet in equal measure - DS
sweet all the way - DD
savoury more than sweet - bumble

to be honest though, I think my mood swings/hormones were a far more reliable indicator of the sex of the baby

right off to catch up.

Hi all, haven't been around for a couple of days as had an old friend staying. Thought it might be a bit rude doing some MNetting in evenings, especially as she doesn't have kids! She went back to Sheffield tonight, so I hot-footed it onto the computer after I waved her off . Am just about up with it all.

pinky I too have a major weakness for Paperchase. I have a whole set of cartoon type monster melamine partyware that they did a year or so back!!! My purse twitches everytime I pass the store. Good job there isn't one here in Hicksville.

M had his last set of jabs today, seems ok so far. Yesterday I had to delve into his nappy for a poo sample as he now has had the trots for 2 weeks. It was very funny as I was out and about with friend when he did one, so without thinking I immediately reached for the pot the doctor gave me, complete with little spoon attached to lid. Started scraping out very squitty stringy poo and then saw friends face. Hmm, think I've put her off having kids for life!. Doctor isn't sure why he's been pooing so much, but has taken him off his ordinary formula and put him on some lactose free stuff to see if it makes a difference. Nothing different so far, still pooed about 8 times today. The night before last I had to get up 3 times to change his nappy, although thankfully each time he settled down quickly without needing a feed.

Sorry, am going on a bit, must go and find a bit of Easter egg to munch on....

Emmanj · 17/04/2009 21:33

sOrry M has the plops, Fudge. But lol at you putting your friend off!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a paperchase/melamine addiction! They have one in the Borders in Stockport, but it's not like the fabby two storey one in town. I used to spend forutnes on paper when I was working.

Can I just ask, to those us who have three or more DC- a quick poll. When you are out with them, at a rough estimate, how many times do you hear people saying "ohh you've got your hands full". Next time I hear it, I swear, I think I may scream!

Lol at bhaji baby sumo!

It is very sad about Hamleys.

twinklingfairy · 17/04/2009 21:44

Sorry am crashing in to say that I have kicked DH out!
I hit a wall today with DS and plonked him onto the floor, poor love dunted his head when I did. I was killing myself with remorse and guilt etc
Gave DH a cuddle when he got home, unheard off, we still rarely touch, because I was so over wrought.
Talked for a bit and then took myself to bed to sob
He was great, took care of DD and DS when he owke, taking him up to me to show me his smiles, to make me feel better.
but, when I got downstairs, cos I was not feeling 100% DH was no use.
He just can't cope with emotions.
Ended up rowing, him telling me the house was a mess, me feeling that he was attacking my housekeeping skills (soft spot cos I know they are crap)
Going at one another with DD playing in the middle.
Sooooo wrong! He won't stop once he has started though, I tried to walk away but he would throw a nasty comment at my back, pulling me back in.
Eventually he decided to bugger off for a shower, leaving me to make dinner, again, even though he knew I was exhausted. I asked him to take some washing upstairs and he refused, sneering at me in the nastiest way.
So I told him to get out and not come back.

I just don't think I can keep having these arguments with him refusing to stop, ll over teh top od poor DDs head (not to mention poor DS)

I just feel that he is taking the mickey with all that I do already and to start telling me I can't even keep house!?
And Sneering at me the way he does when we argue?!
What are my children seeing, learning and having to live with?

5inthebed · 17/04/2009 21:44

I have 3, and I hear that at least 3-4 times during the school holidays, and about 6-8 times on a school run. The best one is "I don't know how you cope"! Erm, its not as if I have a choice, I just get on with it. I sometimes have my neice as well, so that maeks the comments come even quicker

daisy Glad the bead managed to work itelf out! Could have been a long night in A&E. I once lost an earing butterfly in my ear and waited hours for it to be removed.

twinklingfairy · 17/04/2009 21:47

Obviously that is just the highlights, it all sounds so stupid with just bullet points

5inthebed · 17/04/2009 21:48

Twink Not sure what to say, as I am often in the same boat with my DH. You are by far a braver woman than me. Do you have any family who can come around to support you atm?

Emmanj · 17/04/2009 21:48

twinkling - just read your post and can almsot feel your anger and rage with DH. maybe it will do him good to have some time out. Not fair to comment on the house etc, sounds really out of order.
maybe you both need some time to calm down.
sending you big hugs, can't be easy.

ellielou02 · 17/04/2009 21:50

Hi all,

HATED THE THOUGHT OF IT
Dozymare - had a girl
Chocolategal - had a boy

Hanaflower - had a boy
Ellielou02 - had a girl

LOVED THE THOUGHT OF IT

WOW missed so much and only been away for 2 days!! Sorry to all whose babies are not sleeping well at night, sending hugs.

I read all the posts and now have forgotten what I read, but do remember the cucumber bogies lol.
Daisy glad DD ok and the bead is out!
Dozy hope you are feeling better today!
Serendipity Hope you get the cyst sorted soon sounds sore.
We went to Ikea today and chose bedroom furniture, we then asked for it to be delivered and were told a mon, wed or fri so we said fri as we are away mon till thurs, the guy came back and said well no we dont deliver to your area on a fri, so we said well the monday after then, he said no it has to be next week he then suggested we pay an extra 15quid them come back next week and pay for it and they will keep all the stuff we chose on file and get it delivered on the monday (the day we wanted) so we were like another 160 mile round trip err no stick it up your arse!! So basically a whole day wasted well not totally I did get meatballs and dime cake lol.

PinkyMinxy · 17/04/2009 21:53

twinks. I hope you are ok. Maybe a bit of space will do some good? I hope you have some support around in RL

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 21:53

twinkling . I hope you can both work things through. My housekeeping skills are pretty non existent as well and I feel like DH is getting at me personally when he pitches in and does stuff.

another paperchase addict here, and art supplies, and nice jotters/diaries, and pens. DH and I both but he is actually worse than me!

Pinky, I get that as well....usually when people realise that there is another baby in the back of the P&T....although at lunchtime today I was told that I had been blessed with three beautiful and well behaved children . Made my head swell I can tell you and realise that underneath it all, they are pretty well behaved in public and I am really proud of them.

vbab78 · 17/04/2009 21:55

obs - glad you had a better night. Hope youre not too exhausted from the parties.
cricri - Sorry to hear about E's coughing waking you and your daft DH. Surprised you didnt insert his key somewhere! Hope the cake was nice .
lacks - at DS1 and the spitting. I honestly would have hit the roof and probably not calmed down for a long time if DS did that. Would also be ed as hell. chinese sounded lovely. glad things went ok with DS1 so could do cinema. Great news about your (and bumble's) starring roles.
chocolategal - Glad that E's kidneys are deemed as normal enough so will be ok . My DS as a baby was diagnosed with an "innocent" heart murmur and seems active enough so I guess ok.
serendippity - Sorry to hear about your cyst and also that it is painful. Hugs and lots of pain tabs sent to you. WOW at the house! It is double the cost of my 3 bed in south yorks. Can only dream of being able to afford a house like that. Hard to pay the mortgage on this house.
5 - sorry about your bad night.
phee - sorry to hear about your DH work troubles. Tough time out there at mo.
coolkat - sorry about your bad night. Hope you sorted things with DH regarding £.
ceebee - You go girl. Work that body .

ME - Had beyond amazing day just me, DS and Alyssa. It's either the Kalms working or just had a very lucky day. As well as lots of quality kiddie time I got loads of housey stuff done inc bedding, washing, drying, visit to pharmacy and shopping. PHEW Me and DS celebrated our amazing time with a £2.50 fish special between us at lunch time. YUM, YUM. I cooked (if I do say so myself) from scratch (except pasta) an amazing lasagne. Drinking tetley smoothflow at moment. Classy arent I?!

ellielou02 · 17/04/2009 21:56

Oh twink are you ok sending lots of hugs, I think I x posted loads there DD2 was up when I was typing. I had a mummy meltdown yesterday and went out for a drive for about an hour and a half after tea, let DH do bath, bed, feed and clean up after tea to see how much work it was, I feel totally undervalued sometimes too. I agree you are a brave woman but is there anyone you can call you need some moral support.

twinklingfairy · 17/04/2009 21:57

Oh 5 I am not brave at all. That is the problem.
I was so fired up earlier. DH thinks it is just for the one night, he is working away tommorrow anyway (I am sure he has gone to his mum and dad) but I was adamant that when he called I would be saying, nope you got that wrong mate, your out!
But now I am crumbling.

My gut says this cannot contnue, we have been here too many times! But the fear says, you can't split everyone up over a silly argument.

5inthebed · 17/04/2009 22:01

You're braver than me. I have, on a few occasions, asked DH to leave as we are constantly arguing. He sounds a lot like your DH. I wish I were stronger to go through with it though.

Maybe some space will give you time to think it over more. Do you have any RL support nearby?

ellielou02 · 17/04/2009 22:01

See how you feel in the morning twink things always seem different in the morning, you will have both had some time to mull things over, sending more hugs.

twinklingfairy · 17/04/2009 22:06

Yeah my mum is just a few miles down the road, have already been on to her, in tears, just after the event. Then just half an hour ago, calmed down and feeling foolish for shouting wolf.
You are right, I will feel calmer in the morning but also all the more fearful to pull the plug.
God I just hate this turmoil.
I have only ever had one longstanding job (2years) cos I just can't handle stress. I would just rather walk away.
Life with DD, DS and I is so calm, DH comes in and....streeeeeess!

vbab78 · 17/04/2009 22:08

twinkling - sorry love x posted. hugs.

vbab78 · 17/04/2009 22:16

dh has gone to get i neeed a breeaaaaaaaak have my tea on my lap andiwanttoeatit

ruthosaurus · 17/04/2009 23:17

Hi Twink, sending loads of hugs your way. Sounds like your DH was being very disrespectful to you in front of DC, not good at all. How were things in general before it all kicked off? Mine is out on the razz tonight (R&R to aid sanity - he was getting very stressed) and the house is peaceful and calm with just me and Fin around! DH has been off all week and I have sort-of-joked with him that he is more work than Finbo.

Will catch up with everyone else in a bit, but Serendipity", sorry to hear about your cyst and Lacks*, bless your DD - thank goodness it came out, eh? My ever-so-glam Kate-Adie style journalist sister (she who can make Primark look like Gucci) used to shove peas up her nose and pretend they were bogies...

I did good things today - I put up a blackout blind in our room - Finbo doesn't understand about BST - and also a Big Green Leaf thing from Ikea. It's supposed to go over Fin's cot but at the moment it's over the sofa and looks kickass! Am I allowed to have silly furniture now I am officially a grownup? I can always get him another one. He won't know.

Cheesy whatnow? I don't get it. I mostly lived on Haribo and pizza when pg and frankly just can't imagine why Finbo is the size of a Shetland pony. Ahem.
