Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

I've not long been out of bed, daisy!

hope you have a good day

PinkyMinxy · 17/04/2009 10:36

lol tegan my dds are both october!

tegan · 17/04/2009 10:43

it seems quite common for siblings to be born close together. 4 of my friend have had there babies within days of a sibling

serendippity · 17/04/2009 11:00

Oooh sorry daisy My pic is me with a white halter neck top on, smiling madly with a glass of white wine in my hand!

tegan · 17/04/2009 11:02

serendippity i have sent you a fb request, hope you don't mind

chocolategal · 17/04/2009 11:06

Im still in my jammies and it feels good!
In fact when E went for his morning nap i went with him! He is now in jumperoo and im still lazing about!

pinky, serendippity thanks for your thoughts it actually hasnt been too bad re E's kidneys it was picked up at my 20 week scan so i have always been informed of all possibilities. Luckily so far we haven't had to get anything too invasive done. The antibiotics have now stopped and just have had a few ultrasounds which he seems to like!

Off to look for serendippity on FB

Hi everyone, first a quick update on dd1's night. She slept in her own room til 2.30 and then wandered into us. I was feeding dd2 so instead of trying her back in her own bed DH just put her in with me and went to the spare room. I think she did very well but also feel it was an opportunity wasted in trying to settle her in her own room again. Need to discuss it with DH. Unless we are consistent we won't get anywhere.

Pinky You are not a cruddy mummy. i'M STILL IN pj's too and it seems there are a few other slackers around today too.

juanitad · 17/04/2009 11:59

Lacks - have booked you for stay and play 1st May, you weren't on the list. You can also book for 15th may if you want, wasn't sure if you would be free - give them a ring if you want to get that day booked.

A good night for P - didn't wake till 4am, so a 9 hour stretch (the second in a week). A couple of weeks ago he seemed to have regressed, was waking at 10.30 for his first feed and I was starting to wonder if solids were the answer, but I'm thinking it must have been a growth spurt, so I'm holding off on the solids a bit longer. Fingers crossed for another good night.

I'm no expert, but I agree with all those who say some babies are just clingy. I was wondering for a long time if I was making P clingy, as he didn't seem to like being on his own at all, but he is definitely getting better now he can do more, e.g. hold his feet, grab things etc, he is better able to amuse himself so doesn't need me as much! I'm redundant already, he'll be flying the nest soon! I agree totally with everyone else - time is speeding by at a frightening rate. Can't believe he is nearly 5 months already! Scary. I am ready for number 2 now, but think DH will take some persuading, he thinks P is enough of a handful!

5inthebed · 17/04/2009 12:05

Sumo had a rotten night last night, up from half 1 and every 2 hours after that . I wish he would at least give me a few hours sleep.

Thinking of just shoving him in DS1's room anyway as thinking that DH snoring might be keeping him awake, but don't want ds1 to suffer lack of sleep if Sumo still wakes up. What to do what to do. DS1 is stopping over his grandads tomorrow night, so might well try it then.

Its freezing today, like a winters day!

serendippity · 17/04/2009 12:21

Oooh i feel popular!! thanks to all freind requests, it's nice to "meet" you all

phee96 · 17/04/2009 12:53

Thanks for all the compliments

londonboots I think A is quite strong for her age and always has been (she's always been able to hold her head up) but I have very little to compare it to. When she was two weeks old the HV said she could probably pass her six week check and my mum is convinced we've lied about her DOB and had her hidden in the cupboard for a month

Ceebee I would love to come and meet you all but unfortunately I can't make it on Monday so will have to come to the next meet up

Serrendipity Ouch to the cyst! I hope it gets sorted for you soon

DH is home today which is nice on one hand but on the other hand, he doesn't get paid if he doesn't work and we could really do without him being off. He's self-employed and the guy he has been contracting to has now said he can only guarantee him two days a week Looks like I might be going back to work sooner than planned (we were hoping I wouldn't have to go back at all) double

Rosa · 17/04/2009 13:40

Lots to catch up on - Serendipity hope you are not in too much pain .
SOrry for all those babies still waking far tooo much - Sending you virtual hugs.
Cruddy mums ..Nah I think its called being human Minirosa threw out the routine by demanding to be fed at 6 and then going back to sleep so it was a mad rush to get dd to nursery on time - I of course as I am sure you all do took ages to get dressed did full make up to get her to nursery oh and wore a tirara !!!
Right must move as have the pooh clothes to rinse out up the back , down the legs over the change mat jobs ...Or maybe I could get the Nanny to do it whilst I have a work out with my personal trainer !!

Rosa · 17/04/2009 13:40

Oblomov · 17/04/2009 15:12

Lol at perfect mummy image.
perfect kids, in a perfect home, for a 15 course a-la-carte meal.
Or alternatively we can(i.e most of us on this thread) all slob in our pj's like REAL mummies do .
Love to serrendippity, with her cyst.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 15:15

Thanks juanita , but at Tommy as he took my name last Wednesday for that day!! I'll call and book for the 15th as well.

Just been out for lunch with the DC. We took a walk to sainsbury's and the chinese restaurant near there smelled really nice as we were passing so we went there instead of grabbing a bite in Sainsbos cafe. It was lovely, unfortunately DD slept through it all. Bumble was the star attraction and the waitresses were carrying him around and tickling him and showing him to all the other customers .

Nice house serendippity.

serendippity · 17/04/2009 16:34

Drswife was having a tough time wasn't she? I wish i could yhelp but have no contact details.
Let me know if you find her

ChocOrange05 · 17/04/2009 16:40

Daisy have CAT-ed you DrsWife's phone number - I think she is ok, last time I spoke to her she said she was busy in the days and her DH didn't like her MN-ing in the evening, can't believe she listens to him, unlike the rest of us!!

ChocOrange05 · 17/04/2009 16:42

My god I need to move to Cambridgeshire - for the same price we have 2.5 bedrooms, 2 small reception rooms a small kitchen and a bathroom in Surrey . Still, low crime rates (not that I know what cambridgeshire is like!)
