Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

ruth - LOL re comments about families and wells. Looking forward to Monday too. Long time no talk.

PinkyMinxy · 16/04/2009 22:26

I know. Have to say, I am lucky that she has always been a good sleeper

Rutho I am so of your surestart staus. We are the sort of ' quaint local colour' in a property boom bubble. And we have had all our bikes nicked from the yard, including locks.

Seriously, though, the guncrime issue is very sad. DH deals with a lot of gang related problems at work. Last year was pretty bad in that regard.

I must go to bed. DH has been asleep since the Dc went to bed. I only came downstairs to turn the ligths off and put this laptop on charge. I am going

now

I really am. Night allx

PinkyMinxy · 16/04/2009 22:29

Morning. Only one bf last night, so that makes a difference.
Agree with Pinky, Twinkling. Don't think co-sleeping, Ap, GF, or anything else 'makes' a baby clingy. I just think they either are or aren't. Simple as. And those that aren't can go through a 'phrase' of being aswell. = we are all doomed to have a baby/child who won't be put down, at some point or other. And thus, as rutho said, we will be rushing back, nipple at the ready, to comfort. ha ha. have this image of flashing beeping nork sppeding home to comfort, dragging reluctany mummy with a glass of wine in her hands, behind it !!!
Phee, how are you getting on with 'cot moving' ? Agree with vbab. Just do it. See how it goes. If fails, we will be here to offer other suggestions.
Ds1 has 2 birthday parties today. Best go and get dressed. See you later alligator, in a while crocodile.

londonboots · 17/04/2009 08:21

phee and 5 - the pics of your LOs are gorgeous! they are both quite advanced, yes? i don't think M is anywhere near sitting up by himself or standing!!

cricri · 17/04/2009 08:22

Rubbish night here. DH rang to wake me up at midnight when he got home from work because he'd forgotten his key and was outside. That's the second time this week Then E seems to have developed a bit of a cough. She had a cold early last week but it didn't last very long so I'm not sure what this is. It sounds as though she's got catarrh at the back of her throat and has to cough every so often to clear it, bless her. She slept through the coughing although I didn't
Obs Glad you got a good night's sleep as it sounds as though you're going to be busy today!
Hope everybody else has a good day.
NCT get-together for me this afternoon with lots of cakes

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 08:23

morning all.

twinkling, also meant to say that babies are either clingy or not, regardless of whether co sleeping or not. remember our parents were of the generation where babies were left out in the garden for naps and weren't icked up for fear of spoiling (and we all wonder why we're a wee bit unhinged ). Also, studies have shown that babies who have co-slept/been AP'd tend to be more confident and relaxed as they get older, possibly because of the security and closeness they had when they were younger? cuddle away if he needs it

cricri, glad things were OK with E at the hospital, and choc, I hope things resolve themselves with your E soon. What will happen if the dilation doesn't reduce?

Been up since 5.30 here , but it was DD not bumble. Not as good a night last night with him up for two feeds, but I am resting better without him snuffling away next to me.

DS1 is on a warning today. He and DH are meant to be going to the cinema this evening but he has already been sent back to bed once for spitting at DH and I . Why he thinks this sort of behaviour is acceptable is beyond me.

cricri, bumble and I have both had a bit of a thing like that....colds and fluey a couple of weeks ago, then got better, but the cough thing came back. We have both been a bit phlegmy first thing but it clears during the day.

OP posts:
Oblomov · 17/04/2009 08:36

Daisy, I too leave M outside in the pushchair for his naps. What one generation does is scorned by the next, but I still think it is a good thing to do.
I am sue that some of things we do, will be heavily criticised by future generations.

chocolategal · 17/04/2009 08:40

Morning everyone,
Sorry for those with bad nights, not too bad here. Woke at 11, 2 and then up at 6.
There is just no consistency with the timings.

Daisy, they are now considering E's kidneys as normal although there is dilation stil present on the left one. I think its now a case of "within normal limits". As far as the hospital is concerened we have been discharged as no longer on AB's either. I have asked for another appointment though to discuss this in person and to check that this dilation will not get worse again.

Enjoy all those parties obs.
Lovely pics phee and 5.

We are having a lazy day today, not going to go anywhere just play in the house

tegan · 17/04/2009 08:55

morning ladies the weather is shit here, rain rain and more rain.

dh came home from work at 5am so he was going to bed at 6 as i was getting up with O who was up at 2.30 with a stinky bum ( that never happens!!!)

so dh is in bed all day, i have a 10yr old a 4 yr old and O is 4 months to entertain quietly and i can't go anywhere as having asda delivered this morning and some wood to make a fence coming this afternoon.

O is 20 wks today and is a proper little boy all of a sudden, i want my baby back!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 09:05

Obs, I leave bumble out as well if we get home and he is still asleep in the pram, but I think with our parents generation (well my parent's generation at least ) babies were left out regardless of whether they were awake, asleep, calm or crying.

tegan sounds like a challenging sort of a day! And ime, "quiet" activities like painting or drawing are never quiet with my rowdy brood

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 09:08

have you acquired another one tegan? I thought you only had two DC.

serendippity · 17/04/2009 09:31

hi everyone

Well it has been confirmed i have a cyst on my right overy, and it's bloody painfull! I'm glad i have a diagnosis tho, next step is possibly surgery, I'm having two wisdom teeth out under general next month as well AND i have the flu!! So has Dylan, poor thing is sooo snuffly, he slept like a dream tho. He's like me and needs his sleep when he's sick. I feel so bad for him.

chocolategirl given how badly i feel for Dylan with a cold i can't imagine how worried you must have been for your lo. Hope things are all resolved soon.

ceebee time is flying alright, i can't believe how grown up my little man is. He's close to sitting also, and is determined to get up onto those wobbly little legs.

daisy i don't put Dylan out for naps in his pram, but i do notice he sleeps brilliantly when out in the fresh air. I have a freind who is from denmark and she swears by it tho, she's done it from day one, as has her entire family and her son is a fab sleeper.

Anyone who wants a peek at my dc's btw, have a look at my facebook profile, I'm under Louisa watson (but am useless at links, sorry!) nand feel free to send a msg, twould be lovely to get to know you all properly

Back later x

Heartmum2Jamie · 17/04/2009 09:47

Morning all! Not too bad a night here, Z woken for the first time just before 6, but was making rousing noises at 1 and just before 4 as well. He seems a restless sleeper.

Anyway, just a flying visit for now as I am about to take Zack for his 1st lot of jabs (we decided to follow a delayed schedue as my kids aren't at school and therefore not much risk to Zack, but I want them all done before we go away in Sept). Fingers crossed he won't be to grouchy with it....who am I kidding?!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 09:49

poor you with the cyct serrendipity

When will you find out if it needs to be operated on?

OP posts:
serendippity · 17/04/2009 09:53

Hi daisy i have to have a repeat scan in 6 weeks. If I'm still in loads of pain or it has grown, or i have another on my other overy (they wondered if they could see the start of one) we'll discuss it then.
heartmum good luck with the jabs!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 09:55

PinkyMinxy · 17/04/2009 10:01

Serendipity poor you with the cyst. Not pleasant. Neither is the teeth thing, for that matter!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/04/2009 10:22

pinky, you're not a cruddy mummy! I am sitting in my jammies surrounded by the contents of two huge toy tubs that my bored beyond belief DD has tipped out all over the floor.....now that's cruddy

I'm going to get my ass in gear though and Get Things Sorted.
