Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

ellielou02 · 12/04/2009 20:05

Hello Happy Easter
Happy belated Birthday coolkat your DH did you proud!!
honeymoon my DH was in mumbai he works away 4 weeks at a time but was away for 5 this time cos he had a course to go on. I hope you have a nice holiday.
Emmanj enjoy your night out tonight and remember not to have drunk passionate * lol.
Hope obs, twinkling, chocolate & 5 have a good night well I hope we all have a good night really.
My DH is home and we had a nice "reunion" this morning I had a lovely meal planned but shouldnt have bothered I forgot about the starter, fucked mucked up the yorkshires and made the gravy too thick and on top of that DH has been sleeping nearly all day so was too jet lagged to pretend to enjoy it!! The lamb, tatties and the parsnips were good tho we will have the dessert later on if he ever wakes up!!
Waves to everyone else

5intheEgg · 12/04/2009 20:11

Tegan you're little boy looks so cute covered in chocolate.

Ellielou Sorry your dinner didn't turn out as well as you hoped. What did you make for dessert?

Today we had lunch at my mams, and my DS1 and 2 got far too many eggs as usual. Luckily its DS1's birthday next month, so I usually melt the eggs down and send crispie cakes into school for it. We gave Sumo a little milkybar button today from one of his brothers eggs and he loved it! Thinking of starting him on solids soon, he is a hungry little chap.

Is anyone elses DC on solids yet?

Dozymare · 12/04/2009 20:20

hello everyone - hope you all had a good day?!

It's official, my little Tiger who has shown NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in solids, loved a wee bit of green and black chocolate.... Just like her mother then

daisy LOVED your email link re PFB, 2nd and 3rd kids...might I just add to that?!

PFB Weaned on organic gold encrusted pear, specially grown on own pear tree in anticipation...

2nd DC - weaned on organic fruit and veg from Abel and Cole...

3rd (and last DC) weaned on green and Black...

still, at least it's organic eh!

chocolategal · 12/04/2009 20:26

Evening everyone
Dont you feel better when the sun is shining!?

Loving seeing everyone on FB, we really do have the cutest DC!

ellielou your dinner still sounds nice, we went up to your neck of the woods and had fish and chips, was lovely!

Think we are definately in the 5 month growth spurt! Was up 3 times again last night then up at 5am ready to start the day!
Also he has drained a 9 ounce bottle before bed!! that is unheard of for him, usually struggle to get the 6 ounce in!
He is 20 weeks today and i plan on starting weaning in another 4 weeks, to give me a chance to get organised before i go back to work. He has had a little bit of carrot and banana to taste and does seem to quite like it.

chocolategal · 12/04/2009 20:27

LOL dozy i didnt share my Green and Blacks egg with anybody!!!!

juanitad · 12/04/2009 20:35

5, not on solids yet here - DS was born 25th Nov so 20 weeks on Tues. He seems quite happy to me on milk still. Not sleeping through yet, feeds 1, 2 or sometimes 3 times a night. Had his best night ever last night though, slept 7 til 4 so a 9 hour stretch, he's never done anything like that before. Fed, then back down til 7.15 - amazing. I was awake most of the night though, waiting for him to wake up! We were at my parents last night, so he was sleeping in his travel cot, where he has loads of room. Normally he's in a crib in our bedroom, and he doesn't have much room, so I'm wondering if that's what's stopping him sleeping well. Hmmm....

NorthernLadies, won't be able to make the meet up on the 20th, DH has day off work and we are visiting his parents - dull, but has to be done!

Facebook - think I am already part of the group, but never actually got round to adding you all as friends, so will do that now. Just so you know who is asking to be your friends, my initials are JD.

Bye for now!

LackaDAISYcal · 12/04/2009 20:36

Happy Easter

We had a lovely easter egg hunt then spent the day in the garden....I have sunburn

lol Dozy, I like your topical addition there

No Merry today....too busy scoffing chocolate to post I think

No chocolate for bumble, but he did have some black cherry yogurt courtesy of DD yesterday!! He had roasted sweet potato and home grown (clever me!!) purple sprouting brocolli for tea, and although he isn't bothered about picking things up himself, he was happily chewing and swallowing little cubes of sweet potato I was feeding to him.

DS1 has been sooooo challenging for the last couple of days; to the point that I am seriously considering talking to the GP about whether he has some sort of ASD or ADHD. He was screaming so much at DH brushing his hair he got hysterical and made himself sick . Even his grandad, who has the patience of a saint, walked away from him yesterday as DS kicked off about something and was threatening to "kick him in the privates" . DH and I are at the end of our tether and have no ideas how to deal with him.

Coolkat, your party sounds great....DH was obviously taking advantage of your recent illness and discomfort to sort it out while your mind was on other things...what a star . Happy Birthday

OP posts:
5intheEgg · 12/04/2009 20:49

Daisy, my DS2 has ASD, he can be a nightmare at times and nothing can calm him down when he goes off on one! He particulary hates having his head touched. He looks like a ginger scarecrow at the moment as he is in desperate need of a haircut.

Are you doing BLW or puree with Bumble? How old is he?

Dozymare · 12/04/2009 20:53

5intheegg welcome to the ginger club! Seems that almost everyone on here has a shade or ginger/auburn/strawberry blonde child!

Am I the only one NOT weaning or can, we conclude that I am now Tiger has had some green and black?!

Ceebee74 · 12/04/2009 20:58

5 no solids here either. Sam was born on 20th Nov so 20+3 weeks. He seems content on milk (for now) and is sleeping through - but he is draining full 9oz bottles pretty much at every feed and it doesn't seem to be satisfying him for the 4 hours it used to - so I can either introduce another bottle (he currently has 4 a day) or introduce food....not sure which way to go at the moment tbh.

Daisy surely it is worth talking to your Gp about DS1 - even if it is just for reassurance that everything is ok. I know it is not the same as he is much younger but DS1 is becoming such a handful at times and has started being deliberately naughty rather then mischievous iykwim. I am at a loss of how to deal with it and it is stopping me enjoying the time I have with him

Have eaten far too much today - had a huge roast dinner and tons of chocolate...diet starts again tomorrow!

juanitad · 12/04/2009 20:59

Dozy, not weaning here either. I'm hoping to wait till 26 weeks if poss - plus P is showing no interest whatsoever at the moment!

ellielou02 · 12/04/2009 20:59

5 I bought that berry cherry terine you know on the markies advert, It looks so good and didnt think it would be too unhealthy although after eating a whole egg today dont think it matters too much!! Sounds like you had a nice day!! Love your Idea about melting the eggs down to make cakes, just like the aldi advert with the chocolate bunnies
choc oooh fish and chips sounds nice what chipper did you got to my favourite is the round O just now closely followed by peppos
dozy I like your addition to daisys post about the pear, I had a look at your hair cut its lovely really suits you, how are you feeling today?
I gave millie a teeny bit of chocolate too her face was a picture I thought she was gonna explode wanting more, but she got broccoli, peas & pear instead.
daisy hope DS1 settles down soon is it perhaps because of the hols and easter?? DD1 has been a madam the past few days she has been out playing most of the day and the cheek I got from her was awful. Anyway I hope its just a phase and he settles down soon

5intheEgg · 12/04/2009 21:01

Dozy DS1 and DS2 have bright ginger hair, but Sumo has dark brown like me. Its a standing joke between me and DH that he is the mailmans

Ceebee74 · 12/04/2009 21:02

Dozymare · 12/04/2009 21:03

Forgot to say, I am also at having baby Sumo and baby judo on the same thread!

Ceebee74 · 12/04/2009 21:03

Oops - internet crashed so didn't mean to post twice

Rosa · 12/04/2009 21:04

Dozy I am still not off the starting blocks yet and Minirosa missed the chocolate.... she was asleep. Just the thought of starting weaning again - having to hike miles for the best Organic veg etc - dd1 copes well with the organic stuff from the supermarket . Mind you I could go and raid Daisys garden I think ! I guess it will be sooner than later as she is coming up for 23 weeks. I did sit her in dd1 chair - it is a high chair without the tray so she is up at the table with us dd1 was NOT amused at all so Me thinks we will have to get her own ( or buy 4 new kitchen chairs so dd1 can sit on them !)
SO glad you all had a good Easter I am off to sing loudly at Minirosa so she will wake and feed and I can go to bed as s+ds law says I leave her and she will wake 20 mins after I have dropped off. Dh is off out with the boys he is at work all day Monday AND he wants to go out to a friends house for dinner -

LackaDAISYcal · 12/04/2009 21:05

He's 23 weeks 5 . I wanted to do BLW with him and was waiting till he was showing signs of being ready (ie grabbing my food), but he has had some puree over the last week, as although he isn't showing any signs of grabbing, he is definately ready for food.....juanita witnessed him inhaling some banana on Wenesday.

dozy, I think G&B counts as food....food of the gods

OP posts:
5intheEgg · 12/04/2009 21:14

I had never heard of BLW until I joined MN tbh! Both ds1 and ds2 were puree lovers, so will stick to what I know best. I've decided I'm going to puree most of the fruit and veg in Tescos tomorrow an freeze it ready to go. A bit of baby rice tomorrow as well, in the hope he might settle a bit with his sleeping/milk/general hapiness.

Dozy Sumo lives up to his name, he is very chubby and solid! Picture on my profile

CeeBee I thought I was imagining things, having read your post twice lol.
