Here we go then

roll up, roll up for the six month food fest.

Better night here, only two feeds at 1ish and 5ish, but at one point bumble was having a real chat to his blankie. DH was on the sofa and said he couldn't figure out who was talking and thought it was DD until he heard me say "shut up bumble". I have no recollection of it

We've given up with the porridge for a bit as it might have been that upsetting his tummy. He's certainly more cheerful now it's cleared his system.

Traditions even!!

LackaDAISYcal · 11/04/2009 22:28

lol ceebee; I assumed it's cos she's babysitting

barbs, it's amazing how quickly they get used to their wee routines.....which is why I'm totally random and unpredictable with bathing; in fact bumble still has blue paint between his toes and under his fingernails from our art session yesterday afternoon

new traditions sounds lovely

We are having an easter egg hunt (come rain or shine). We have done this every year since DH and I got married.

I liked your email daisy very true! I was bathed dd1 every night without fail as part of her bedtime "routine" but with Millie she is lucky if she gets a bath every 2nd night I have noticed tho that her skin is alot better (we all have eczema). Dirt is good haha. I was also very much routine routine routine with dd1 now with DD2 I am like well
whatever!!
LOL at bumble and the blue paint!

PinkyMinxy · 11/04/2009 22:51

heelo

hi 5 (thought of that all by meself)

Lovely day here- very sunny. Went to Tatton Park.

Mimi is sleeping through but DS is coming into our bed at night, which is fine, but he wakes me up and I am having trouble getting to sleep at the mo.

ellielou glad you had a good night out.

Emmanj · 11/04/2009 22:53

Evening all,
DD is fast asleep, had a relatively calm evening. Loved the e mail daisy, and I am sooooo that 1st time mum aswell!! Esp. the bit about washing, co-ordinating and folding clothes (shameful i know when i claim to be exhausted!!!)

I am sorry, im still utterly confused about this facebook group. I am friends with ladybuzz, who else do i need to search for and request? ive lost the bit of the thread with people RL names!!

ceebee - If i need her, i always have to arrange things around my mums bridge sessions too!!

Glad your on the mend dozy, hair sounds fab!

Emmanj · 11/04/2009 22:58

Ah ha, just been on FB and found the group invitation....off to have a browse - how exciting!

Honeymoonmummy · 11/04/2009 23:17

Ellielou where has your DH mean?

Tegan I can't believe receptionist/ doc said that! well done for feeding for so long, I personally am very proud of myself for "growing" Poppy myself! She has just hit the 1 stone mark!

Daisy funny email. We drove past a "Discount Carpets" shop the other day and DH and I had a giggle

Pinky where do you live? I live near Tatton Park!

barbareebaa · 11/04/2009 23:37

Added my bit to fb group!

Happy Birthday for 2moz CoolKat!

Off to bed to try to catch some zzzzz's before W wakes up.

PinkyMinxy · 11/04/2009 23:41

Honeym I just spotted that on th FB group thingumy. I live in S.Manc, so not far.

I can't find our meet up thread!!!! Can someone tell me what is happening?

PinkyMinxy · 11/04/2009 23:42

Hope you have a fabby b.day, Coolkat

Honeymoonmummy · 11/04/2009 23:50

I work in the centre of Manchester Pinky.

twinklingfairy · 11/04/2009 23:55

Oh yes, I forgot there was a group on FB. I can't find it either. Where did you find it emmanj
I have put a note asking for people to introduce themselves cos I only know who Chocolategal is, oh and Dozy cos she just cut all her hair off!! OMGoodness! What a lot of hair to chop. I will never again have hair above my shoulders. Been there done that, just doesn't suit me. But yours is just lovely Dozy. Good on you, brave lady

Oh daisy you always make me feel better. J is also a very clingy baby. Tell me it's true, it's just a phase!

I am so proud of him though, Today he rolled over for the first time (tummy to back). I didn't see it, MIL did but she didn't realise it was the first time. She just made cooing noises at how clever he was. I was like, what! He did what!? OMG that is the first time he did that and I didn't see it!
He hasn't even been trying.
Back to tummy, he is desperate to master but he does not like being on his tummy too long so I didn't think he could do it.
You watch though, it will have been a fluke and only happend cos I moved away and he was so desperate to keep me in his sights that he fell over!!

5 you are so not alone. J was up hunners of time last night! Down at 8, I fed him at 11 (norm 1ish ) then his norm 1, then 2, 3, 4, 4.45 ( at which point I refused to give him boob, let him cry for a minute or two, gave him back his dummy but still) saw him again at 6.15. He was awake by 7
Not good, but he is only snacking, just cos I am there and he knows he can but it is so much easier just to let him, than to refuse him. Would be so much worse if he was not in next to me though.
But I guess it was cos he was building up his strength to turn over today.

Mind you, I couldn't get him off me today!
That is all very well and good when PIL are up and DD is entertained, dinner is cooked etc.
Not so good for MIL who only gets a gurning J and simply has to return him to stop him winding himself into a frenzy
But still, what the eck am I gonna do on Monday!?

Oops mammoth post

twinklingfairy · 11/04/2009 23:59

Ooh honeymoon my DS just hit that mark too!
When was your DD born?
Mine was 31st October (4 weeks early and only 4llb4oz) Can't believe he is so big already!!
Someone had to point out to me that he was that way, all by my own work. I hadn't thought on it, but it's true. 'We did that!'

Someone else also asked what I produced, 'jersey??'
haha

PinkyMinxy · 12/04/2009 00:13

Twinks your night sounds like mine a few weeks back, major growth spurt. She has been sleeping through this last week or so, but before thatb she was feeding almost constantly! Hope you get some sleep tonight.

night night ladies.xx

coolkat · 12/04/2009 00:24

If anyones there guess where I have been..

To my surprise 30th birthday party! My DH is the best in the world and I am very drunk.

Good Night God bless!

30 year old coolkat!!

twinklingfairy · 12/04/2009 00:31

What a fabbo hubby!
Glad you had a good night!

PinkyMinxy · 12/04/2009 00:39

oh wow that's great, Coolkat!!

Happy Birthday!!

chocolategal · 12/04/2009 05:48

That is lovely coolkat, hope you aren't suffering too much this morning! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

twinkling there is a 'who am I' bit in the facebook group where everyone has introduced themself. Well done on the rolling!

Ah pinky your story gives me hope, DS is 11 days away from being 5 months and the sleeping has all gone to pot so I am REALLY hoping that it is just the growth spurt and not his new sleeping pattern!

Happy Easter everyone

Happy Birthday Coolkat what a lovely DH you have. Glad you had a good party!

Well done to all these rolling babies.

Daisy PMSL at that email - so true

Welcome 5

Well i'm off out again tonight I never seem to be in at the moment. but looking forward to a nice family day first.

Happy Easter Everyone.

5intheEgg · 12/04/2009 09:13

Morning everyone, its a lovel day outside!

Barb I cheated an counted the weeks before typing. I'm not that good

Daisy that email is very true, especially with having 3 DC

Happy birthday Coolkat How lovely of your DH throwing you a surprise party.

Sumo had another poor night last night and we have been up since half 6 . I think he is having a bit of a growth spurt, he is having more milk lately as well. He is a chunky little man, hence the nick Sumo. You' think he was on 3 square meals a day but still just milk. Don't think he will last til 6 months though. He has been in 6-9 month clothes for 2 weeks now . Not a tiny baby anymore.

Honeymoonmummy · 12/04/2009 12:46

Happy Easter everybody!!!

Happy 30th birthday Coolkat!

Poppy was born on 5 November, she was 6lb15!! She's been steadily on the 25th centile since. She's had reflux quite badly so I'm really happy with that!

Twinkling, your night sounds horrendous! I couldn't function with that little sleep! Thank god at worst Poppy will wake twice in the night, she used to sleep through quite a lot...aah, happy days

BTW, on the "Who am I" front, on the October postnatal thread one of the women starts the thread every time and puts the stats on the first post so you can refer back to it, it's really handy. Please don't think the newby's swanning in here telling you all what to do tho!!!!

Going on hols tomorrow WOO HOO!! Only Wales but I'm still very excited!!!

Ceebee74 · 12/04/2009 13:36

Happy Easter to you all I guess everyone is out enjoying the sunshine!!

Both my boys are upstairs asleep and DH is mowing the lawn so I am having 5 minutes peace...lovely!

honeymoon have a lovely break

Coolkat Happy Birthday - what a lovely surprise that your DH arranged....what a nice thing to do (How is the hangover??)

Pinky re the meet-up, I think we have agreed it is Monday 20th - haven't decided a venue but we were wondering if we should go to the play area near Meadowhall as it will be easier for you if the train goes there? What do you think?

Right, 5 minutes is up - got stuff to do. Been swimming this morning....how much washing does it create for the 4 of us to go swimming fgs!!

x

Oblomov · 12/04/2009 14:17
