Lucky - get a mixture of both. Or short sleeved tops with some thin cardies to cover her up.

I take travel wash liquid with us so I can wash Dcs clothes in bath/bidet so you may not need to take so many clothes iyswim.

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:05

Ok I can do that I expect (although not liking the idea of clothes washing while on holiday!! lol)

madmouse · 09/04/2009 22:06

Lucky take a bit of washing liquid you can wash things in the basin/sink or a launderette, it will dry quickly in the sun, don't take 28 outfits!!

armbands for free!!
I would do short sleeve and then add a couple of cardigans

simpson · 09/04/2009 22:06

2 swim suits will be enough.

ELC do armbands for A's age I think but can be pricey.

Molly just woken and is totally hysterical

I go in room she puts arms up to be picked up and when I do she wants to be back in cot

LaTrucha · 09/04/2009 22:07

Are you going to Spain, Lucky? You can get 80 nappies for around nine euros.

Take sealable plastic bags. Great for dirties on the journey.

What they do here is put up an umbrella on the beach, dig the baby a little paddle pool and they spend most of the day under that. I would be very, very careful about the sun, especially on her head.

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:09

2 costumes will be fine are you going for 1 or 2 weeks ??

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:10

Aah MM i don't wash on hol hence lot's of clothes

Probably makes more sense to take less clothes and wash them tbh

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:11

Lily - armbands promotion run out but THANK YOU!!

Will look for some other ones.

Have got a baseball cap for her but she wont wear it
Will buy a brolly over there.

LaT - are they good nappies?

MM - Already looking for some kind of washing thing.

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:26

Lol everyone is different
personally i would ditch some of the pj's (how warm is it ?) and i would want more evening outfits for me than 3 ???

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:27

bummer bout the armbands

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:28

I'm not sure how hot it is but I know i wont be able to go butt naked cos I remember waking up once on hol to see someone in the balcony opposite sitting staring through all the windows so I'm too scared to do it again!! lol

I probably should have more going out stuff but we're not gonna go out with having aaliyah so I didn't really see the point. IYKWIM.

simpson · 09/04/2009 22:29

Yep I agree would take at least 5 night time outfits for yourself...

Would ditch A's PJs and take baby grows that can double up in day time if need be...

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:31

I suppose everyone suitcase is different
my evening outfits are what i eat my evening meal in etc rather than 'go out' but you know what you will wear!

lol at the staring person !!

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:31

Do you think she'll be ok for babygros? I thought it would be too hot.... I've found a few of those babygros with no arms and legs the other day so might pack them too

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:33

They would be fine
I think most days they have nappy and t shirt or costume and t shirt

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:33

Oh I see,

I just assumed I'd be wearing my shorts and t-shirt but thinking about I dont think there is a restaurant on site so may have to pack some more actually.

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:35

I'm worried about DP while I'm away as he's so focused on peadophiles watching her. He has a go at me each time I put piccis on without her wearing a top (even though its set for only friends to see) so I'm just worried that he's gonna want her covered up all the time and its gonna be too hot.

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:36

I guess it depends on how you 'holiday'
We tended to go back to room for sleep 'siesta' at 3 ish and then get up , showered and out for evening meal at 7ish.
Obv if you don't have evening meal in your package then you can eat earlier and go to room after i guess.

simpson · 09/04/2009 22:41

Lucky - just try and keep clothes loose for her and TBH if she is hot and uncomfortable DP will be able to see she isn't happy.

Then maybe he will be ok with her wearing less but being happier iyswim.

Just pack loads of suncream etc...

LuckySalem · 09/04/2009 22:43

We've got 2 of childrens suncream (I think its like factor 50 or something)

Lilyloo · 09/04/2009 22:43

Lucky maybe he will feel differently when he sees other lo's wearing less clothing when he get's there ??

simpson · 09/04/2009 22:43

That should be fine but might be worth getting after sun just incase....
