Thanks Lily

it is hard, all feels a bit unreal still tbh.
can't quite believe we are going to GOSH about our baby...however mad that sounds.

well, drumroll, i changed a lightbulb....so achieved something, lol.
...and packed the boys nursery bags for tomorrow, and tidied upstairs while DH did their bath, and fed the cats, yadda yadda yadda....

have ordered flowers for MIL's birthday (& as a thank-you) for next weekend. hope she likes them.
may buy myself some to cheer me up!

ow is everyone else doing? sorry i feel like i'm taking over here!

madmouse · 18/05/2009 12:16

Have a feeling that if I say something it will echo!!

Where is everyone?

I am at work with a headache having managed about 4 hours sleep and lots of stress and nothing going according to plan today. Oh well, that's my job.

Hope you are all ok(ish)

MM is really quiet here i agree. Hope everyone not leaving this thread
Tough niht am in sympathy!
M is still not well and is up at leat 2-3 hours every night just unsettled.
We go to France on Friday do you think i should take her to docs ??
She absolutely bunged up with cold and cough not getting any better.
Her appetitie has come back a bit more but she keeps having these long periods of being really unsettled!
She also keeps falling over do you think it could be something to do with her ears ??
I don't want to pester the doc with a bug but don't want to go to France and her still be ill!!
As for me and dp barely talking just bickering as we are both exhausted so that not helping either
Great start to the hol

mixedmamameansbusiness · 18/05/2009 13:19

Afternoon...

JKS really hope tomorrow provides some answers.

Race was great... I actually jogged the whole way without stopping and am really proud of myself... i even cried and so did my mum. Am definitely doing it again next year and 38 mins is my time to beat.

JustKeepSwimming · 18/05/2009 15:58

Mixedmama - well done, that's great

Lily - take her, even if the doc makes you feel a little silly for going (which they shouldn't but they do sometimes to me) you'll be reassured before going away. hope you and DP make up asap. i know it's tough when you're all tired

Madmouse - sorry about tough night & day at work

well, at home now as nursery called - H had a long big fit for about 3 minutes they think
have brought him home and he's gone to sleep which i think he needed but he wouldn't settle there.

so will hang on for tomorrow...

madmouse · 18/05/2009 16:00

Oh no JKS - wish it would stop

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 18/05/2009 16:40

Madmouse - me too!

H has woken up already, so not enough sleep at all today. hope he sleeps well tonight...

simpson · 18/05/2009 19:35

Hi all

Am back!!

Had a great time, was good to catch up with my little brother

J had a great time but unfortunately found the plane back today a trial as his ears were bad

Weather was lovely too, which was nice.

M behaved well although both my mum and brother said at moments she was hard work with the winging etc, so not just me who finds her hard work

JKS - sorry to hear about H. Hoping you get more answers/info tomorrow. Will be thinking of you.

Lucky - any news on AF?

Madmouse - hope you are ok and still going ahead with thursday...

Hi to everyone else...am starving, must eat. Will be back later!!

madmouse · 18/05/2009 20:09

Simpson - missed you!!! Glad you had a good time and are back safe. Want to hear everything

Lilyloo · 18/05/2009 20:45

Simpson glad you had a good time

JKS poor H! I guess it's all trial and error with the meds until he stabilises ? Were you confident in nursery staff handling of fit ?
Hope he get's some sleep tonight he must be exhausted!

Sorry for whine before , is nothing in the great scheme of things.

AngeChica · 18/05/2009 20:47

hello peeps

hope you enjoyed Eurovision Mixedmama, Turkey were great.

How is nathan madmouse? missing your updates about him on here.

Hope all goes well for tomorrow JKS. You will get the best care and treatment for H at Great Ormond Street. I'm sure they will get all under control and there will be less and less of the nasty seizures to contend with.

Glad your trip went OK Simpson.

MrsMc is posting on the due in June AN thread. Nothing from Blubell for a while - she also removed from facebook so hope all is Ok there.

Nicky you'll have 2 under 2 - def, def need for double buggy ! and yes I would say maybe better to go into cot or toddler bed for Charlie too! Did you find out the flavour of no. 2 - can't recall if you told us.

Hope M better soon lily and your eye Gingeme.

Well I slept 11-6 last night - but that was due to taking refuge on the sofa bed in desperation. DS still rubbish at night. we keep saying this but will def try CC at half term. Then I go back to 3 days a week. 2 months til Bulgaria - not looking forward to flights - haven't booked a seat for DS and he just doesn't sit still these days!

we plan to pop over to Lake District 28 May and camp for the weekend as MIL is there. when did you say you would be there madmouse?

LuckySalem · 18/05/2009 20:50

Welcome back Simps Hope you had a lovely time there.

MM - Sorry work not going too well for you. Hope you get some more sleep.

Lily - I'd go to docs but I can be a little paranoid.

JKS - I'm really sorry to hear this I really wish I could help you and that it would go away. You know where i am if you need me.

No AF STILL, Tried docs and no standard appointments all week but if I try again at 8:30am they may have a cancellation for me and no they dont class this as a medical emergency (which I dont either really)
I'm going crazy here - I swear I can feel kicks, My stomach feels just like it did with Aaliyah in that if I put anything over my stomach it hurts, I'm barely eating again, I'm knackered and cant get through the day without a nap, got heartburn.

But how do I know its not all in my head?

Hi lucky have you done another test?

LuckySalem · 18/05/2009 20:59

AngeChica · 18/05/2009 21:02

[puzzled emoticon] Lucky!

LuckySalem · 18/05/2009 21:07

yeh me too

I WANT ANSWERS

madmouse · 18/05/2009 21:34

Ange will be in Keswick 23-30th may!

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 19/05/2009 07:54

Morning all,

Ange - ope you get more sleep soon. (i know some poepl don't like CC but the times i've done it i'm amazed at how quickly it works, then i look back and think why didn't we do that earlier?! but you have to be committed.)

Lucky - hope you get some answers soon, and you get a docs appt today.

Lily - i think nursery was freaked out tbh, they were good, one held him, one went and got help. they say it lasted 3mins, and tbh i would have been on the phone by then but they weren't. so we may need to chat again about what to do.

He had another TC fit at 6pm, lasted 65secs cos i was counting. freaked MIL out.

(almost hoping he has one when at GOSH later so they can see.)

The first 35 secs he went grey/blue so that was horrid to watch, then he had a deep breath so his colour came back even though he carried on fitting for a bit longer. not 'convulsing' as i'd seen before, hard to describe.

well T has pre-sch this morning, and MIL can H-sit so i'm planning to drop in on my old bf support group for a cuppa (& a cry most likely...).

then H & i will head off after lunch.
will try and update from london tonight, otherwise tomorrow.

JustKeepSwimming · 19/05/2009 08:20

Oh and Rubysmom (aka Bluebell) announced the arrival of Darcy yesterday on FB

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

simpson · 19/05/2009 10:39

JKS - good luck today.

Rubysmum/bluebell - huge congrats

Well normality is resumed here. M kicking off because she wants "nana" (banana) for breakfast and I haven't done any shopping yet.

Managed to pacify her with "tote" (toast)

J very happy to be re-united with his toy cars, he even took some of them to bed last night.

J has a spiderman house in his room (like a material wendy house) and when I went to bed last night, he was curled up inside it fast asleep and had even dragged his duvet in. Bless!!

LuckySalem · 19/05/2009 12:28

JKS - Good luck today.
Rubysmum - Congrats!! (again)

Went to docs this morning and hes told me I have to wait 6 months before they'll look into it as its probably just a wierd thing. I'm to only go back if I experience pain or a pos prg test I'm so scared that somethings wrong now.

Gingeme · 19/05/2009 12:37

Hi ladies. Just to let you know I'm back. Still blurry but much better. Had a realy s**t weekend because of my eye. Had about 6 hours sleep in all. I was willing it to be 7pm on Sunday so I could get the boys to bed and rest. I went to bed about 9pm and didn't wake up till 7am when I heard the boys.
Much better today. I have been doing hot compresses and anti biotic drops every 4 hours.
Sorry for no personals but I will have a scan through in a while.
The boys are all full of snot at the moment and David has a horrible cough Hope theyre all better for half term next week.
Right off for some lunch. I shall return later xx

Lilyloo · 19/05/2009 13:54

Ange poor you. Has his sleep continued to be unsettled constantly ?? You must be exhausted!
Have nice time camping , hope the wetaher improves for you. It is doing a lot of ranining this way!

Lucky did he say why this could be happening ?

Gingeme sounds agony. M still full of cough , cold here too. Horrid , hope they better for next week and you.

Simps , lol how quickly it can seem like you have never been away! Bless J how cute! Took L for her school shoes today. Wasn't planning too was actually going for some Lellie Kellys. As much as i have tried to disuade her she has had her heart set on them. It has been a couple of months and she hasn't chnaged her mind. I told her i would get her some for hol in the hope she would forget , no such luck And the shop had sale on of the leather shoes so got her some for school for £10 instead of £48. M is doing well with her talking now isn't she ? Is h back yet ??

Bluebell congratulations on birth of Darcy

Mixedm great time , well done you. All that training paid off!!

Madm how you and N ? Have you got apt for counselling yet ?

JKS (((hugs)) x 1000. I hope you get more answers and help today i really do. I would be terrified , you are doing so amazingly well. Hope you managed to offload on your bf mates and have a good old cry. With regards to nursery i guess it's a learning curve for them too. But you have to feel 100% confident in their ability to handle him so i would definately sit down with them and make sure they would respond exactly as you would.
Take care xx

Well still couldn't get apt for M but she seems a little better today (fingers crossed)

LuckySalem · 19/05/2009 13:59

no just that it happens sometimes..... Helpful eh?

Lily - Glad M is feeling better.
