Can't believe how big A has got

And how blonde she has gone!!

LuckySalem · 09/05/2009 21:46

Her hair got REALLY bleached from the sun while we were there!! She looks dead cute though

Gingeme · 10/05/2009 11:40

Afternoon ladies.
So sorry to hear of the DH situation again Simpson. Sounds like your doing the right thing though by sending him off to his family. It is a very hard decision
JKS I put the boys to bed altogether and find its usualy Edward who lays and kicks the wall by his bed or opens the bedroom door a few times and calls 'Mummy'. I just keep plonking him back in his bed and he settles eventualy. Good luck with that.
Oooh Lucky how exciting go on do a test pleeeeeeeeese ?
Well we had a brill weekend. ds1 was 15 on Friday. We went out for a meal yesterday. My Dad joined us. Even did a birthday cake for him and sang Happy Birthday in the resteraunt . Bless he was well isn't that why we have kids? . Then yesterday evening ds1 and ds2 and I went to see Wicked. Oh it was bloody fantastic. I have never seen anything like it. Wow!! Go and see it if you can?
Well DH has just taken the big boys home and ds4 and ds5 are having their naps now. Off to a kids birthday party at 2 this afternoon. Busy busy busy

LaTrucha · 10/05/2009 14:20

~Hello Ladies -

Simpson - I'm very sorry to hear if the DH situation. I hope you get some peace without him and work out what to do for the best. It might be nice if he doesn't have a return date as that can put pressure on. Poor you having to tell J.

JKS - hope you have a really boring week next week but a lovely birthday to T.

Gingeme - happy holidays! ahhhh...

Madmouse - feeling better? you don't say if bug has gone.

Lily - parties can be so damn stressful can't they and at dh!

Lucky - fingers crossed for you!

Wedding was lovely in the end and Sabela was much admired! She stayed awake until we got home at 12.15 and was an absolute star, smiling and playing the whole time. As soon as I put her down at home she rolled over and went to sleep. Unfortunately was still up at 5am! unbelieveable for good and for bad!

Not sure when will be on next as flying Tuesday then have to connect internet aagin. Take care of yourselves if I'm not on for a while.

simpson · 10/05/2009 20:44

Hi all

Had a pretty pants night last night...v upset etc but am feeling better today.

Thanks madmouse for all the support

Going to hosp appt with DH in the morning, my mum is having kids...

Had a nice meal out today with my mother & brother (and J & M)

JKS - what have you got T for his birthday??

LaT - glad wedding went well and Sabela was a little star

Lilyloo - where are you?? You have been most quiet!!

JustKeepSwimming · 10/05/2009 21:10

Lucky - nice pics so how did it all go?

Gingeme - nice pice from you too Can't believe your biggest baby is 15

Simps - for you - hope appt is helpful. glad you had a good meal out

I have got this lot for T (but hoping some family will 'claim' some of them and give us the money instead as they won't be organised to do anything else!):

  • balance bike (eBay paid for by selling highchair)
  • Happyland castle (eBay)
  • Happyland pirate ship (eBay!)
  • Happyland house (guess where from?!)
  • doctors kit (cheapo from Factory Shop, bought ages ago and i actually gave it to him today as he was playing doctors really nicely with his friend but with his tools!)
(saves me wrapping it, lol )
  • some books (they were on offer somewhere a while back)

PIL have bought him a scooter (an expensive John Lewis one that i've seen about lots, looks good).

Know BIL & SIL have said they will 'give' him one of the Happyland things as they roughly spend £15 on him and each of them was about that.

simpson · 10/05/2009 21:13

JKS - J got his balance bike for his 3rd birthday too and he loves it, is using it every day ATM and the older children who live next door (5 & 6) fight to have goes on it to see how fast they can go!! They spend ages building ramps etc for it.

Have you still got the £3.80 scooter?

Gingeme · 10/05/2009 21:19

Simpson I hope the appointment helps tommorrow. Keep us posted.
JKS I know he was such a cute baby and know he's all hairy and deep voiced and stuff. Not fair why do they have to grow up
Sounds like H is going to have a fab birthday. You are a good Mummy
We ent to a friends birthday party this afternoon. H ewas2 . They held it in a playgroup his Nan works at. They absolutely loved it One of his uncles bought his dog. I'm not sure of the breed but it had a curly tail and it was small. George chased it round most of the time making 'huf huf' noises so sweet. He roars now too. Sometimes at lions and dinosaurs but aso sheep
Well back to routine tommorrow with school, playgruop etc.
Hope you have goodnights xx

JustKeepSwimming · 10/05/2009 21:20

Yes still got that one, for next year/year after, not sure when.

Hope he likes the balance bike and the scooter - then every pre-school walk can be a decision which one to take!

simpson · 10/05/2009 21:25

Just to warn you your heart will be in your mouth when T goes on balance bike fast round corners/down hills etc!!!

I prefer scooter every time

Lilyloo · 10/05/2009 21:47

Evening all just quick one before bed.

Simps so sorry that you have had to come to this decision hope things get easier for you. You know you have tried your best to make this situation right. Have good day out with your mum tom.

JKS hoping you have boring week ahead too!!

Lucky glad you liked hols and admire your not testing stance. I could never wait and hence wasted a fair few pounds on tests!

Gingeme sounds like a lovely day!

Lucky glad the wedding was good and am Sabela managed to stay awake until then in a good mood!

MM hope your doing ok.

Went to neighbors barbecue yesterday. Drank too much , ate too much diet gone to pot. Got in at 12.45 this morning. Lily slept until 12 this afternoon i was up at 7 with M as she was with sitter last night so she wasn't tired. Then had to take H to footy as dp was too hungover Have resisted getting a McD hangover cure today though weigh in on Tue!!!

Housemum · 10/05/2009 22:15

Evening all - that I am so crap at keeping up.

i'll jump in from here and try to catch up (some chance...)

No reaon for absence, just usual busy week. DD1 is now on study leave until GCSEs so probably won't have much time to MN as I don't want her to grass on me! I just have to have another browser window open with the NCT accounts to quickly click on when she comes in the room (hey, isn't it supposed to be the other way round, kids hiding from the parents?)

JKS - hope the meds help and that you get the dosage sorted soon. I feel a bit of a fraud really, DD1 seems to have a mild form as she has not had many fits (though maybe that was due to her age when she got it). It is horrible to see your child have one though, I was crying my eyes out when she had her first one at home (she had already been diagnosed by then and we were starting the tablets but she wasn't yet on full dose) - particulary when DD2 came up and asked why DD1 had fallen over, and when was she going to wake up.

Lovely day with DH & the little kids today - local NCT had arranged canal trip & picnic, perfet weather for it. (DD1 was doing car parking with the scouts for an event). Inlaws came round later for a barbie, great cos they amused the kids!

Tip - if you have a travel cot, stick it out in the garden as a playpen to keep LOs away from the bbq. We put a bag of those cheap balls in so it was her own little ballpit! She just kept throwing them out after a while, but as there are about 100 in a bag it kept her amused for a long time...

LuckySalem · 10/05/2009 22:28

Hi all,

Just quickly, Simps you know where I am if you need me but I'm sorry to hear how things are.

Feeling sick and tired today Am going to docs in the morning - hopefully.

Gingeme · 11/05/2009 13:15

Did you go to the docs Lucky?
How did the appt go Simpson? Well I hope !
how are you doing madmouse?
Not alot happening here today. ds3 back to school with a smile. Dh and I popped the bank yo get our new cards activated. Thats about it realy. ds4 and 5 are napping and DH has gone to worke and there are 2 lots of washing waiting to be tumbled, oh what I wouldn't do for a garden today
Ah well hope this day finds you all well xxxx

LaTrucha · 11/05/2009 18:15

Gingeme - did you finish the washing yet? If you have a tumble dryer, don't miss the garden. I have a garden and no dryer and spent the whole fo the last rainy summer with clothing draped about the house.

Simpson - How was your day out? How are you feeling today.

JKS - T sounds like he's going to have a whale of a time. Do you want to come and have him roll down some Welsh hills? Is he still being difficult to get to bed?

Lily - sounds like a good night out. DH and I realsied that the wedding dineer was our first dinner out since our wedding

Hi Housemum! - that is a genius idea about the travel cot. Thanks. I hope we get enough sunshine so I can use it.

Madmouse - Are you lurking. Missing chatting on FB!

LaTrucha · 11/05/2009 18:17

Forgot to say anything about us! We're off tomorrow but won't be home until midnight

Have a stinking cold ready to take back hoem with me but have been taking full advatage of the last day with the in-laws and lying in bed! With the excuse that we're travelling tomorrow, of course

If I complain of feeling all lonely when I get home, don't forget to slap me, eh?

Gingeme · 11/05/2009 19:28

Hi ladies.
Last lot tumbling as I type .Got a basket of dirty to go in the machine in the morning
We did that last week with George outside the caravan on the one realy hot day we had. So much easier especialy as there were a couple of cats hanging about and he would have chased them all over the camp had he been free!
Well my baby definately isn't a baby anymore. He has his bed time milk form his cup tonight and not his bottle. I'm sad but relieved in a way. Had images of a 18 month toddler having night time milk from a bottle in Tenerife. The other boys had given up there bottle long since and saying that there night time milk too by now .
Oh it was so funny earlier. Well not fot poor David. He fell off the end of the sofa backwards. I think he misjudged the distance. Anyway he was crying and I was rubbing his elbow when George, looking very pitiful, came and sat on David while Edward bought him a tissue and stuck it in his eye! Trying to wipe his tears obviously Oh my heart melted. They do love there big brother realy

Gingeme · 11/05/2009 19:29

How mant typos in that last post? Must have tumble fever or something lol

AngeChica · 11/05/2009 20:46

Sorry not been on much lately. Have been lurking but feeling horribly tired and lethargic. Am going to try and see doc to see if it is hormonal, maybe even depression.... or just life

Hope you had an OK day Simpson - am sorry to hear about you and your DH, I had an XP with mental health probs and I know it is so difficult to break through to them, you want to "save" them but they have to want to save themselves at the end of the day.

Wish Alek would have his milk from a cup Gingeme, I cannot prise the bedtime bottle off him however much I try. He is getting really good at self feeding now (not surprising considering how much he loves his food). We got given a little tikes slide and he can now get up the steps and slide down head first

Lucky, you and Aaliyah look tanned and lovely on your hols! Did you go to the docs? (suspense)

Mixedmama are you ready for Eurovision?

So anyone got any news from the PG ladies, MrsMcJr, Bluebell and Nicky6, I think a couple of due dates are approaching so we will have to keep an eye out for their new arrivals!

Hope T has a lovely birthday JKS.

LuckySalem · 11/05/2009 21:40

Didnt go to docs - woke up too late and forgot. By the time I remembered I know the docs apts would have been full.

Trying to decide what to do as I'm going to my friends house tomorrow and I'm pretty sure she'll kill me if there is no answer! lol

simpson · 11/05/2009 21:57

Lucky - you should have let me post you that test!!

Offer still there if you want it, but won't be able to post it till Wed...

Wilkinsons sell cheapies too I think...
