Lucky where are you???

You can't be still unpacking...

JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 06:14

Morning, up at 3.30 with H having a cry, then 5.10 with both of them....

now got T on my lap, H next to me on one side, laptop on the other side

H had about 12 absences just now and his head def goes more to the side than straight down. dunno what that means though?

Lily - that sounds v stressful!

G - welcome back, hope all slept well at home.

madmouse · 09/05/2009 07:23

morning JKS. Nathan was awake at 5.30 but settled with a cuddle. Awake again 6.30 though and not settling. Tried having him between us but he is just beinga nuisance.

Had bad night and have headache but apparently daddy's headache is worse so here we are .

Nathan used to turn his head to the side with fits, not sure it means anything. When are you seeing medical people again to ask?

Not sure when next appt will be, expecting to hear something tues afternoon/wed morning post-GOSH review meeting.

H fell asleep on my lap so has gone back to bed.
this is when my 'put the boys in the same room' plan doesn't work so well.
if they had separate rooms, H could have woken, had a cuddle and gone back to bed and T possibly sleep through the whole thing. ah well.

breakfast time now (dunno when H will have any - and he needs to have his meds with food soon....)

madmouse · 09/05/2009 07:48

Just had a text, Lucky is safely back - hope she will come on here soon, it has been too quiet despite JKS's best efforts

Morning all

Madmouse - hope you are ok?

JKS - when Dcs were in the same room last wk for MIL we and they definately got less sleep but then M was ill too so I guess that didn't help...

Lilyloo - sorry you had a bit of a mare at he party.

Its definately worth looking at your local sure start for classes. Our new childrens centre opens later this yr but have started some classes already ie the "positive steps" class I did and now this one

Gingeme - Love the holiday snaps on FB

Having a nightmare with M this morning. She will now not go to DH at all and goes hyterical if I leave her with him which is making him feel

There is also a problem with her breakfast which she will not eat at all

I am wondering if she is intolerant to oats and got tummy ache from it and now thinks anything I give her is porridge iyswim....

simpson · 09/05/2009 11:35

Having a bit of a mare with DH again

He has refused to go to work and my mum is coming round for "crisis talk"

The good thing is that I am finding housework quite therapeutic so house sparking!!

madmouse · 09/05/2009 11:39

Oh Simpson not again - glad your mum's going round. Off to show face at church mission plant sale but phone on so call anytime!

Only got time to write a quick post as going to mums just now.

Sorry to hear about H Im here as much as you need me.

Hol was fab all enjoyed it although sometimes I wish that we had taken someone to watch aaliyah as she took loads of energy!!! lol

Also some news I'm about a week to a week and a half late I think. Although I checked my phone and I haven't put CD1 in my phone for nearly 2 months so I'm slightly worried that I either forgot (unlike me) or I'm over a month late!! lol.

Anyways. I'm sorry for no better personals but I need to catch up and I'm knackered, haven't even got 1/2 way through the washing!!! lolol

JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 15:11

Simps oh no.

Lucky - hi and welcome back!

off to garden with washing to hang out.

simpson · 09/05/2009 15:20

Lucky - do a test!!!!

I want to know!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 19:24

Yes Lucky, test test test test test!!!

gwan you know you want to!
(i recommend those ones that tell you how far gone you are too so you know)

anyone else's older dc fight bedtime? every night T has to get out of bed at least 2 or 3 times, sometimes more, we put him back, he gets up, ad nauseum.

meant to be on good behaviour 'winning' back his toys but i can hear him thumping around up there, grrrrr.

madmouse · 09/05/2009 20:08

JKS do you need to cut T some slack? He must have been picking up on a lot of stress tension and unusual goings on over the last few weeks.

It is a genuine question to which only you know the answer - no intention to tell you how to parent

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 20:13

i dunno MM. it's possible. we're stuck between 'treating' him as we know he's prob not had his normal parents for a few weeks (me since the burglary and both of us since last tues) and wanting to keep things 'normal'.

he fell asleep when out with dh earlier in the car and it took some doing to wake him up - managed to cut his fingernails though

so i knew he wouldn't go down easily tonight.
but H has been waking him far too early. 5.07 they both got up today (and me too as it was my day!)
H was back asleep an hour later, T had the whole day ahead of him so not surprised he crashed out!
(both of us did too at different times)

just want to stay as firm as i would normally be - i took away his garage as that was the 'returning' toy tonight. didn't have to go as far as taking away last night's toys - the basket of cars.

wasn't cross tonight, just getting fed up with it every night.

simpson · 09/05/2009 20:32

JKS - how long does it take him to go to sleep?

TBH madmouse could be right he may be picking up on tension

There has been lots here today and J saw me cry for the first time ever and it has really upset him...lying on floor screaming, refusing to eat etc...

JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 20:44

Oh Simps

how is dh? did he ever get to work? did your mum help?

I know T got bothered in our a&e day last tues when every now and than a wave of crying would come over me (while we were waiting, just the 3 of us), i hid most of it from him, but if he saw i was crying he wouldn't ask 'mummy are you ok?' but would ask something like 'mummy, come and play towers' or something indirect. guess it's hard for them being so little, and J too

Hopefully next week will be mostly boring, with just the highlight of T's birthday
Having a joint party with a girl-friend of his who is 3 on fri, T 3 on Sat.

got to get organised for it though. and alarm people just rang to say they could fit in wed/thurs...could be interesting...

sorry never answered your Q - it can ake up to an hour some nights, so he goes to bed at 7, but can muck about until 8, but that's rare. more normal is 7.30.

often we put H to bed at 6.30/7 when he gets tired, then get T to bed nearer 7.15 when H is out for the count so he doesn't get disturbed.

but...DH is on duty first tomorrow so who cares?!! and maybe they'll both sleep later.....

simpson · 09/05/2009 20:48

JKS - T sounds just like J. When I was crying today he said "mummy I want to draw" think he wants be to go into "mummy" mode then he will feel safe iyswim.

DH didn't go to work today and I have asked him to leave He has got a flight booked for tuesday to go to Ireland to stay with his family.

He thinks he is going for a couple of weeks till he feels stronger but we will see...But I don't want him back...

Have never cried so much in all my days

JustKeepSwimming · 09/05/2009 21:00

Oh Simps don't know what to say...

I hope you can get to Tues ok, then start organising yourself and the DCs into a routine without him.

you have tried lots of times to sort things out.

i hope he can sort his head out with his family (but erm, does his mum 'help' in this kind of situation?...) and come back to you but you will be stronger and more able to see if you want him back rather than need him. iykwim.

so much for you. (((((((massive hugs))))))

simpson · 09/05/2009 21:05

JKS it is the right decision to make just

Still haven't decided how to tell J....

Have got lots to do to keep me busy, am going out for lunch tomorrow with my mum & brother and J & M obviously.

LuckySalem · 09/05/2009 21:11

Oh simps - I'm so sorry to hear this. can I help at all?
Just remember we're here if you need us.

Am going to get a doc to do the test as tests are expensive and this hol has taken all our money!! lol.

simpson · 09/05/2009 21:16
