Well done A on tooth!

JKS - they probably didn't go through anything. Probably just completely opportunistic and were in and out as quick as they could. You might find you wake up again tonight. I did after our burglary.

Simpson - how is DH?

Madmouse- what news?

madmouse · 21/04/2009 23:04

JKS-you want to be called JBB now? Hope you are ok still, be prepared for a slightly delayed reaction of shock/stress.

LaT how are you? Parcel at post office, missed delivery, will go tomorrow- very curious. How are you, dad, brothers?

Ginge glad things going well at your end.

Simpson you ok hun?

So please Aaliyah has her first tooth, Lucky gone to bed early, not too well, hope you are better hon xx

Not doing great here, but still coping courtesy of mn-fb-rl friends listening to me for hours on end trying to make sense of things. PTSD triggered by Nathan has stirred up some nasty stuff from years ago that is really disturbing me.

Have had a form to fill in for counselling which will be at least another month for first appointment when they will decide how to help me. It is too long ,but to short to start with a private counsellor. Oh well, just keep breathing.

Night all

madmouse - hope you are ok this morning?

I was absolutely shattered yesterday so got an early night and feel soooo much better after a good nights sleep.

Lucky - hope you are ok? Look after yourself, you don't want to be ill on holiday...

JKS/JBB - have you heard any more from police yet?

LaT - hope you are ok....

Another lovely day here DH's turn for a lie in this morning....

Not got much planned today but feeling a lot happier today.

Had chat with DH last night and really laid it on the line etc...So feeling happier now I have said my piece iyswim and he seemed to really listen too

JustBeenBurgled · 22/04/2009 09:40

hi all - i will change back to jks in a bit.

slept really well last night - 8 hours

but going to bed was weird, thinking, at this point they must have been in the garden, at this point they must have been coming to the door, at this point they broke the door, etc.

and dh didn't seem to realise i was thinking all that so stayed up later than me making noises downstairs !

anyway. we are reviewing all security stuff (horse, bolted, etc.) and we have learnt lots of lessons for a relatively cheap price.

dh has dug out an ancient laptop of his so may try and see if that can be got going for my sanity!!!

Simps - hope DH gets back on track and you are ok.

Madm - you too. a month is a long time but will come and then you can get the proper help, and i hope it does help.

Lucky - get well soon!!! the sunshine will cure you if nothing else
well done A on tooth

(what's up with K, see some stuff on FB but don't want to bother A with questions)

um, right, behind on laundry & jobs as did nothing productive yesterday and have friends coming round later, at the moment no-one would be allowed in my kitchen - dirty clothes in piles all over the floor

back later hopefully

simpson · 22/04/2009 12:23

Lucky - if you are still feeling pants loads of vit C and gargle with TCP...

Gingeme · 22/04/2009 13:02

Afternoon ladies.
Alot of positive vibes on our thread today good good.
I popped to my Dads new place this morning. It has satisfied my curiosity Its quite a small place but ideal for Dad. Apart from the tiny bath but he is going to get a power shower put in soon as he doesn't realy like baths anyway. George enjoyed looking around in all the cupboards and sruff which are pretty empty at the minute. I'm going with him tommorrow to buy some curtains tommorrow.
George up at 9.30 last night screaming. Not sure why and it took ages to settle him again . He slept through though so not complaining.
Davids having his school photo today. I just hope hes kept himself fairly clean for it . I'm just glad their taking it before lunch as thats usualy how I tell what hes had by whats down the front of his jumper
Right thats enough waffeling from me.
Keep up the good work ladies. xx

simpson · 22/04/2009 18:33

Well M surpassed herself today

She had tea which consisted of adult sized portion of pasta shells, peas, pesto and 2 meat balls then pudding jar

Put her down to crawl around and she went into front room and polished off the rest of J's tea that he hadn't finished...more pasta, broccoli, meat balls!!

She still managed 3ozs of milk at bedtime too

simpson · 22/04/2009 18:36

Gingeme - AM loling at you knowing what David had for lunch by his school jumper

I have all this to come from Sept

Gingeme · 22/04/2009 19:47

Must be a spring thing Simpson the boys ate loads for dinner tonight too. I made cocktail sausages mash and tinned carrots and they all wolfed it down. Muller rices for pud which vanished also and yes George still had 5 oz bfore bed . Well if he wakes again tonight I know its not because he's hungry thats for sure

Hello all - too tired to write. Have been out all day with a friend of mum's. she bought Sabela about a million presents, including a 'spanishifed' frock for the wedding we're going to, so I can stop worrying. Also bought myself a lovely outfit from Coast and some gold shoes . It was a lovely day. The only thing that freaked me out was that she kept on talking about mum ion the present tense. I know she's a Catholic, and so believes in an after life but it makes me feel weird when she says things like, 'Your mum is a lot happier now.' It makes me think 'Shit. have you been talking to her, cos I haven't!'

MM - hang on in there. It's rubbish when you need help NOW and the NHS can't cope. Believe me, I know. Fill in some more forms: go on, you know you want to.

JKS - glad you slept.

Gingeme - speaking as an ex-teacher, they do the before lunch thing deliberately! Hope it comes out well. The lunch and the photo!

Simpson - I am truly envious of her appetite!

Where is Lily - I think I've missed something - again!

Lucky on hols now?

Mixedmama - I knwo where you are .... in the GYM!

JustKeepSwimming · 22/04/2009 21:15

whatchu got her? got beautifully wrapped virtual crate of red wine here!

G - hope george doesn't do a repeat performance, nightmare?

H eats for Britain too, had toddler friend of T's here for tea and H ate more than both of them put together
Guess food is high on their priorities right now, when you're 'nearly 3' there are other things to be doing, lol.

missing my laptop! sat in dh's study using his pc as can't get his old laptop to connect, so no tv+internet multi-tasking for me for a while.
never mind, have found an old Texas cd to listen to while i sit here

oh and a glass of red is handy too

JustKeepSwimming · 22/04/2009 21:16

Hi LaT - mm, i like Coast dresses! well the look, never owned one, don't have a shop nearby, but will def try some on next time i'm in one.

simpson · 22/04/2009 21:50

Yes - Lily went to Wales for the week.

(H is always asleep for the whole 'session' so i have time to myself which is so precious)

so, doing a friend's family tree, hanging out washing & hoping to get some ironing done too.

once i've got off MN of course

mixedmamameansbusiness · 23/04/2009 11:32

MM - as if form filling is what you want right now but i guess if that is what it takes then that is what it takes.

LaT - I love Coast also altho have not bought anything... have a wedding in May I need to buy soemthing for but needs a special trip as it is for a Bengali wedding.

Thats all from me for the moment.. have been reading just not posting and hi to everyone. Also, as JKS was wondering about K as I saw A status.

LaTrucha · 23/04/2009 12:16

Happy Birthday Simpson!

madmouse · 23/04/2009 12:54

am upset

took Nathan for repeat hearing test this morning and he flunked it again. has fluid in both ears and has been referred to ENT to talk about grommets. That's one more thing i did not need and the thought of him ahving surgery and General Anaesthetic floors me. Was crying in the clinic loo fgs.

Gingeme · 23/04/2009 13:19

Happy Birthday Simpson mwah darling
Had another repeat pefromance from George last night and only Daddy could settle him which means I had time to go to bed and start my new book.
George has a mystery rash on his arms and tummy today. I vaguely remember the other boys getting it this time of year too. I am going to playgroup with him tomm and will ask a RL friend what it is. Her dd is alergic to just about everything so she is a rash expert. I'm not too worried as he is fine other than that.
Went curtain shopping with Dad this morning. He got some pretty nets and the same heavy curtains that we have up in the boys room. Got himself a microwave and phone from Currys too. Bought himself a small fridge yesterday so he's getting settled slowly but surely.
Nothing much else to report realy. xx

Gingeme · 23/04/2009 13:21

X post madmouse.
Ooh poor you. I know its not much consolation but grommets op is in and out the same day. When David had his tonsils out last year he made friends with a little boy having his grommets done and was quite disapointed he had to go home before him and they do help. xx

Housemum · 23/04/2009 13:26

no time to read anything but here's a useful code/offer if you can afford to buy nappies in bulk or have a friend or two to share with:

Ocado have 3 for 2 on baby changing - so I just bought 12 of the Jumbo packs of nappies for £108 then used voucher code VOU4827397 to get 15% off £60= spen (max £15) so that came to £93 making the nappy boxes £7.75 each (normally around £12 for the Jumbo boxes) I played safe and ordered a mix of current size 4, then some 4+ and 5 - she'll only grow!

must dash - away for weekend from tomorrow evening so will try to catch up end of next week!

simpson · 23/04/2009 14:14

Thanks for Birthday wishes guys

Madmouse - ((hugs))

J has fluid in his right ear too

Am back at the hosp with him in June, but they are talking about draining the fluid there and then if it is still there.

Would they not try that first?
